I agree with Jimmy Olsson about Teddy Swims and Chris Kläfford and I'd also include David Dramon from Disturbed. They all have beautiful voices and great rasp or grit. But here's the thing I've never heard David use soul like Teddy not even in Sound of Silence ... his emotion of choice is rage not surprising actually given what happened in his youth. To me the difference between a beautiful voice and an otherworldly singer is the individual's ability to share a piece of themselves thru their voice whether its something beautiful or tragic. Those 3 men are (to me) unique in that ability to tap into emotions they can't unlive or unsee but can share with song while maintaining technical perfection.
Like I said in another reaction video comment: the lyrics in this song are so emotional, so sad, so full of love. And one of my fave Bonnie Raitt songs. She sings it beautifully. For me as a woman I really enjoy hearing it sung by a male artist. And what an artist! What amazing voice! The cover of 'Valerie' also excellent! Cant wait to hear more ❤

He's in fairly rare territory. Usually you can almost guarantee the person doing the cover isn't up to par with the original. but occasionally someone comes along pretty much takes the song. Like Whitney Houston's cover of Dolly Parton's I will Always Love You or Johnny Cash Hurt by Nine Inch Nails. Those 2 come to mind because both original artist both said "Well, that's not my song anymore". That's how good those were and this is in the same category. Amazing.

Teddy Swims can literally cover anyone. His Khalid and Summer Walker covers are just as amazing. And this one is a cross cover which I think is super amazing, It has the original and parts are more like a previous cover (by Tank), and he still manages to put a bit of his own twist on both of those.
