Girl please.....😊.....I absolutely love your reviews....even if I don't necessarily care for the song, I still watch just for your reaction.... but this one was an absolute favorite of mine.... first with Bonnie Raitt, and now Teddy Swims....its a timeless classic....keep doin what ya do....and thanks for always making my day a little better....
Teddy Swims has such an incredible voice. I've actually heard this cover before and it still surprises me. Tears, every time. It's so damn good and the lyrics just cut through me, man.
"There's sweat in my eyes - I'm not really crying."(!) I don't know if I've seen anybody else who can or does move his mouth sidewise while singing like Teddy does - I tried to do that and I cannot do it physically, almost like one would need a double jointed jaw bone- amazing sweet voice.
That "does not compute" look on your face when Teddy first starts singing is the same with just about every reactor and I love to see it. NOBODY expects a dude who looks like that to sing the way he does. He is one of the best artists I've heard in a while, so it's a joy to see you react to and experience his singing. Hope you react to more of his music. The depth and richness of his voice is palpable in everything he sings. Just amazing.
i think this kind of singer is what this world is missing someone that puts there soul into there singing that when you hear them sing you can feel there pain in there voice it takes you on a voyage with them
Honey if you want to see Teddy swims, get in the car and drive out I20, he live right down the road in Conyers Georgia 😂❤🎉💕 although you may have to wait till he gets back from his world tour, the 2nd one 😮😂😅 💕
Seriously, who can deny Teddy Swim's version of this!? Crap! If you feel anything at all, you will feel this. ❤ If you don't feel it - check for a pulse.
Here is a great chance for you to learn something about Rock music , or Blues music .. all you need to do is the learn the name Bonnie Raitt. Look her up .. choose any of her hits .. and then absorb her singing , and watch her guitar playing 🎸🤍🎸 .. this is an A+ cover , outstanding. Bonnie should be on your to-do list Britt ! 👑⭐️👑⭐️👑⭐️👑
Hey Britt, Thanks for reacting to this request. This guy is a genuine down to earth guy. I've actually had the privilege of exchanging text messages on several occasions with Teddy (His last name "Swims" stands for Someone Who Isn't Me Sometimes. Thanks again!\ Edit: By the way, Teddy's grandfather was a preacher, so he may have sung in a choir. But most of his talent came from the time he spent in theater and watching TH-cam videos to help fine-tune his skills. Bonnie Raitt sung the original of this song. It is based on a news article that one of the songwriters read about a man who want to court for shooting at his girlfriends car. The judge had asked him if "he had learned anything from this". The defendant responded, " I learned, your Honor, that you can't make a woman love you if she won't".
Teddy is fantastic. I discovered him 5 years ago. Due to his viral success on TH-cam he signed a record deal and has since released new original music. Boy can sang.. not sing. Sang.. he's got that New Orleans French Quarter, down in the bayou type vibe.
Every once in a while a song is written/produced/released with the hope that someday it will be sung/covered by the person it was truly meant for. This, right here is (imho) one of those moments.😲🤩😎🤗🫶🏻
I always loved this song from Bonnie raitt but OMG he I never really listened to it deeply until he did it and OMG how incredibly deep it hits, his music has touched me deeply in ways I didn't imagine
I went to, what I thought was a southern baptist revival meeting, once when I was a kid. My stepmother took me and my brothers to see one, if only once, for the experience. There was people who were rolling on the floor and jumping on the benches and there were some beautiful voices too. Good reaction. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent version, but the WORDS!! They were written by Mike Reid, former All-Pro Defensive Lineman for the Cincinnati Bengals in the early 1970s. He retired to focus on his other love, music. A brilliant composer and talented pianist/musician. It was co-written with Allen Shamblin. Just giving them the credit they so richly deserve, also. A classic!!
This guys voice is like a warm hug 🤗 so beautiful! I Would love to see you react to Alex Newell singing Independently owned. Different kind of song, but will blow your mind!
I grew up in a white Baptist church (though anyone was welcome, it was just hidden in a tiny corner of a tiny town), & our pastor, his wife, his sister, & her husband had a group that could sing. They didn't bring all the soul like a black Baptist church, but we were certainly hand raising & waving, praising Jesus, taking it to Him sister, so I know some of what you mean! I saw him on a podcast & was shocked to hear that he said he can't actually sing that good, that he learned to & uses autotune... but who doesn't now? That's why I respect old singers SO much. They just HAD to be good!
It’s a Bonnie Raitt song from 1991. Love Bonnie, Love Teddy as well ! 😁 Check out Teddy Swims covering the old Bill Wither tune, “Use Me”. It’s fantastic!!
Teddy has church influence along with god’s gift. He has many songs. This is the kind of singer you need to share with family and friends. He does many covers but he also has his own songs. He and Allan Stone do Hall and Oats Sara Smiles. He kills journey songs.
Bonnie had a hard time singing this first time on stage because it's a emotional song and requires it. Like Bonnie original. George Michael also nailed it vocally and emotionally. Teddy here did excellent job
[EDIT] Deacon Note Situation. LOVE that. *** Love the Good Work that you and yours puts out.... We come to see react to connect. This song slays me everytime. Danke Bae to ja and yours.
This is good but personally I like Bonnie Raitts version better. What a fantastic line " you can't make your heart feel something it wont". The final realization that its just not going to happen. Maybe the most heartbreaking line ever.
They are both great.. I like this live version of Bonnie Raitt the best.. She has Bruce Hornsby on the piano.. Apparently they played together a lot. th-cam.com/video/ZTIu4UbkK94/w-d-xo.html
Hey Britt, I knew you would love this song! Dang….been waiting 2weeks for you to listen to this. And others agreed with me. The way I first heard this was laying in bed late one night, thinking of my me and my lady maybe being over….I’m a 58yrs young white English guy dating an African Drama Princess (originally from Zimbabwe). We both live in Perth-Western Australia. Btw, You are so funny and beautiful. Keep up the good work!!💙

I have always loved the original of this song. This song is so sexy and sensual. Gorgeous!
It's a Bonnie Raitt song written by Mike Reid and Allen Shamblin. This dude was born with more than his share of SOUL.
Teddy Swims vibrato is off the charts. This song was recorded first by Bonnie Raitt!
truly! and thanks for the info!
This is a limp attempt at covering it also.
Teddy Swims has such an incredible voice. I've actually heard this cover before and it still surprises me. Tears, every time. It's so damn good and the lyrics just cut through me, man.

@@mitcht2717 This is going to be a really weird reference, but it makes me think of Tommy Davidson's impression of Sammy Davis Jr. lol
This is my favorite song .
I never heard him sing this song .
You get a 100% for this Great reaction .

Bonnie Raitt was the original
thanks for letting me know! I will keep that in mind!
The texture.
This is a great performance, but Bonnie's version hits me in the feels.
@brittreacts but it was recently made famous by Adelle
Was written by Mike Reid and Allen Shamblin, made famous by Bonnie Raitt.
I loved your reaction "ribs falling off the bone, tender, marinated...Teddy Swims rendition of this song just touches my heart...🥰🤓
His voice is exceptional and he can sing to me anytime!!!💕💕💕🎵🎼🎶🎸🎤🎙🎹🥁🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
i think this kind of singer is what this world is missing someone that puts there soul into there singing that when you hear them sing you can feel there pain in there voice it takes you on a voyage with them
Always fun watching your reaction. You're so expressive. Adorable.
It's not just his voice, it's how he uses it. Totally into the lyrics and the emotion of the song, with a little blues and a touch of gospel.
I absolutely love him his voice is so beautiful
his voice is amazing!
Honey if you want to see Teddy swims, get in the car and drive out I20, he live right down the road in Conyers Georgia 😂❤🎉💕 although you may have to wait till he gets back from his world tour, the 2nd one 😮😂😅 💕

Incredible.. cover...he had me from the start 2019.
Seen him and his band twice in Australia
Seriously, who can deny Teddy Swim's version of this!? Crap! If you feel anything at all, you will feel this. ❤ If you don't feel it - check for a pulse.
From an old 73-year-old white guy from Texas, I just love your reviews and you are cuter than a speckled pup.
Swims is the man, btw, you're drop dead gorgeous ❤
This guy is incredible, beautiful rendition of Bonnie Raitt's song. FREAKING MASTERPIECE

Bonnie Raitt, 1991.
Love his voice, so tender in this song👍🏻🎶
Church indeed ❤
I believe his daddy is a pastor. He's from around ATLANTA Georgia. He done a Cover of Chris Stapleton.

Teddy Swims could sing the phone book and make it a Grammy hit lol
BDW U my Lady RR gorgeous❤🎉and Teddy has His soul on the mike😮
"make you feel my love' is a sweet Dylan cover by Teddy with a little less pain.
Marvelous cover!! I knew you’d love this!! 😊
yes it is!
This song is a heartbreaker and done by Bonnie Raitt in the 90’s.
Teddy is fantastic. I discovered him 5 years ago. Due to his viral success on TH-cam he signed a record deal and has since released new original music. Boy can sang.. not sing. Sang.. he's got that New Orleans French Quarter, down in the bayou type vibe.
I love Teddy’s cover of “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi. I always recommend checking that one out.
I will keep it in mind, thanks!
Teddy Swims + Allen Stone “Sarah Smile” cover is insane if you have not seen it yet.
Him and Allen Stone always make a great pair to listen to as well.
Bonnie Raitt is who I know it by and her song “Angel from Montgomery” is my favorite.
I will keep it in mind, thanks!
This man can sing. My thoughts exactly :)
Amen sister, that boy can sang. Keep the music coming.
I can’t wait for her to see this. She’s gonna melt.
Every once in a while a song is written/produced/released with the hope that someday it will be sung/covered by the person it was truly meant for. This, right here is (imho) one of those moments.😲🤩😎🤗🫶🏻

Luv your description references to church and food! We are tasting with our ears and SOUL!
just rewatched this video going down a Sunday night music rabbit hole and off topic, just have to say I love your nails 😊

What a gorgeous voice!
He kills this song 🎵 it's so heartbreaking 💔

Written by the soulful former Cincinnati Bengal Mike Reid.
This is good but personally I like Bonnie Raitts version better.

"I will lay down my heart, and I'll feel the power... but you won't" took me down.
His cover of Tennessee Whiskey is smooth too.
I've only ever heard Bonnie Raitt sing this song (and she's incredible), but wow! Swims knocked this out of the park! ❤
Your voice is beautiful also. And yes Teddy is off the charts awesome. I would love to hear a Teddy Swims and Chris Stapleton duet.
I remember this song from the movie Duets
Thank you for doing this one, Britt.
Great Reaction 👍🙏👣
thank you!
Teddy is awesome!
Amen sister!!!
One of my favs. 🔥
