We had a border collie and black lab mix, and she was the sweetest dog. She loved babies, she would just sit next to me when I was holding our firstborn, and just want to cuddle, and once he was big enough to be walking around, she'd lay on the floor next to him so he could climb all over her. Like, actively avoid the kid-free areas because having her ears pulled on and eyes accidentally jabbed was worth having the baby on her (we trued to prevent him hurting her, of course, but accidents happen). She knew exactly where the yard boundaries were, and we could have her off leash in our open yard and she wouldn't cross her boundaries. She knew exactly where the kids were supposed to be in the yard, and would herd them with her body to keep them where they were supposed to be. Sadly, we lost her at 7 years old to surprise health issues.
I second your comment - we had a yellow lab and border collie mix and she was my absolute best friend through childhood. She was a dearheart and was with me until I went off to college - seems like she knew I was grown up and her role was finished. Devastated when she left us.

I feel your pain and exhaustion. I am sitting here watching an Aussie/BC mix and an Aussiedoodle (yeah, dumb as a box of rocks, but sweet and silly) chase each other, and squirrels, in our back-yard. We got the 1st rescue from a hoarding situation. She was confused, scared by outside noises. The Aussiedoodle was rescued from a backyard breeder situation, helps the hoarder girl with fear issues. The doodle is also the only dog who could keep up with the energy level AND outmanuever/outrun the hoarder girl. AND the doodle looks a lot like a sheep, so that is fun!

Used to walk a couple of dogs (Airedales) and take them to a Dog Park, where there would be loads of dogs all being excited and doggy-sociable. Someone used to bring his two Border Collies, who would 'herd' the rest of the dogs, have them running round in a tight group, and get them changing direction and suchlike. Wonderful to watch.
You forgot that they love the snow. I remember the movie snow dogs had a border collie and having one myself though that they could never be a sled dog. Then my second one learned how to use an old plastic sled to move her toys in from the yard, and later gather sticks. He loved sticks.
My border collie puppy trained himself to stop knocking over my toddler. He would get excited and knock him over and make him cry. I never corrected him, only helped my son back up, but after two weeks my pup just began to understand he needed to be a little more gentle:) he was awesome.
Every morning, our border collie "herded" me and my 6 siblings up to the school bus stop at the end of our long country lane, and when the bus brought us home, he was there waiting to herd us back to the house.
My cousin has a 1-year-old collie, and he's the biggest sweetheart ever. He's really intelligent, but not *socially* intelligent. He just wants to be EVERYONE'S friend even if the other dog is barking at him to back off. Also occasionally goes into stealth mode when going over to another dog. He's like if Buddy the Elf was a collie.
"You are gonna invade a country 3 TIMES, just to create a dog?" "Ummm.... yeah." "...." "...." "GREAT IDEA!" Oh God, I love it, I love all of your vids, but especially the God-Angel series and this vid is the best one of them ever :D
As the owner of a border collie, this is so true... well apart from the last comment, they are anything other than stupid. It’s like having an ADHD toddler in the house, with knives! 😂
My sister in law gave me some left over food she had prepared for her dog one time (her dog was on a raw meat diet at the time). I tried my bc on it, and she separated all the different meats into piles before eating any of it. She took out the chicken, put it in a pile, then the roo shoulder, sat it aside, and pulled out the pork leaving the minced beef in the bowl. Then she ate each pile one by one. lol And as far as intelligence, when she was 9 weeks old I put a bell by the back door to start house training her. As soon as I saw her sitting by the door wanting to go out, I picked her up and gently booped the bell with her nose then praised her and let her out. An hour later, I heard the bell ring, and she was sitting at the door ready to go out. I only had to show her one time. Border collies are amazing.

you forgot to add how, given enough land, they make their own athletic running tracks. My sister lived on 10 acres, and her BC made its own circular running track around the perimeter of the property and then trained on it twice a day. Doubling up as Border Patrol, LOL.with no human prompting whatsoever. And another thing, they love to round up little kids into a corner.

“Their so stupid……. I LOVE IT!!”
Literally me lmao
You forgot that they love the snow. I remember the movie snow dogs had a border collie and having one myself though that they could never be a sled dog. Then my second one learned how to use an old plastic sled to move her toys in from the yard, and later gather sticks. He loved sticks.
Bro you kill me, if we could see your mind it would probably be like Cirque du Solei 😂
"honestly you should probably update it"
"Yeah people are losing their minds"
“They’re so stupid, I love it!”
Except they’re reaaaaaaally not. Until they kinda are.
A good dog is a genius and an idiot all rolled into one.
Yep! I didn’t understand this until I had a dog. 🤣
“I just wrote the Bible and retired”
“Yeah, you should probably update that”
“Yeahhh… people are losing their minds”
🤣
I get a thrill just seeing you pop Into my feed knowing i am about to laugh my head off. Keep the genius coming!!
Right?! I hit the like button even before the vid starts
I am addicted to your vids. They’re fabulous
And they have a bark so loud it's a wonder how they don't deafen themselves
"You are gonna invade a country 3 TIMES, just to create a dog?"
"Ummm.... yeah."
"...."
"...."
"GREAT IDEA!"
Oh God, I love it, I love all of your vids, but especially the God-Angel series and this vid is the best one of them ever :D
As the owner of a border collie, this is so true... well apart from the last comment, they are anything other than stupid. It’s like having an ADHD toddler in the house, with knives! 😂
Toddlers are fucking stupid so...
“Stupid” was because they crouch thinking no one can see them. It was sarcasm 😂
Then she ate each pile one by one. lol
And as far as intelligence, when she was 9 weeks old I put a bell by the back door to start house training her. As soon as I saw her sitting by the door wanting to go out, I picked her up and gently booped the bell with her nose then praised her and let her out. An hour later, I heard the bell ring, and she was sitting at the door ready to go out. I only had to show her one time. Border collies are amazing.
@@almightyshippo1197 i work in an animal shelter, my boss's border collie is like another employee, she can do anything that u dont need opposable thumbs to do, includibg giving the food for other dogs, while memorizing amounts, walking em (with a human holding the leashes, but she keeps the dogs walking in the same direction and guides them along the route, cuz without it, they'd pull you apart), i could go on. hell, she was more competent than some other people i know
So true! I have a year old rescued Border Collie, and she will stare me in the eyes and not move for minutes at a time...then blink and grab the toys...pick out her favorite and put the rest in her toy box, then it is time to play.
God has a Targaryen wig
My border has the spirit but doesn’t actually know what to do with her instincts. Never seen this dog actually herd, just ends up chasing after things. Then again she is a 11 month old pup so she has time to figure things out
I literally wait for these videos. He’s too good at it.
I love how God loves dogs!
Well technically he should since he made them and actually every other animal too 🙂👍
We'd be living in a sad, sad world if he didn't
Well if he exist, he hates humans, so I hope he at least does love dogs
@@rustyshackleford6035 according to abrahamanic mythology he made humans too and here we are. All logic and evidence that he designed leading to the conclusion being that he doesn't exist and if he does he hates us.
Three wars for a dog, God understands human beings😊🤣
Humans have Wars over 'who has the best Imaginary Friend' so having one over a dog is entirely feasible.
My border collie does the crouch thing too!! He’s such a cutie, he throws a fit when he’s not being pet (he LOVES it, actually) and he waits by the bathroom if he wants water… god I love my dog
This is great! I had a beautiful border collie and this just makes me miss him so much.
I now have a 6 month Australian shepherd and I can’t wait until you do a video on that breed! Love your channel!
I saw a border collie x German shepherd the other day. That was some weird s**t
Before clicking on this one, I honestly did not believe you could out do yourself. I was wrong.
These get funnier and funnier every time! Thank you! 😀
What few examples I've seen of Border Collies herding in person used ducks. So I'm sitting here visualizing a massive flock of ducks...
Ours would herd anything. The cat was not amused. The hogs tried very hard to ignore the dogs. However, in the end they capitulated and allowed themselves to be herded.
@@parkerbrown-nesbit1747 The cat mention made me LOL. They managed to herd pigs?! I have zero experience with pigs, but that surprised me! Wow.
@@monicapdx herding the pigs surprised me too, as pigs usually don't like that sort of stuff. Ours were used to being handled, so that may have helped.
@@parkerbrown-nesbit1747 I have heard that the best way to get pigs to go somewhere was try to lead them away from the direction you want to go. They will stubbornly go the other way. So old farmers' tales say. 😉
The ending was fantastic!!! Actually the whole thing was fantastic. Lolol!!
The long pauses & "They're so stupid, i love it" 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂
Border Collie - the origins of gaming stealth mode.
"Humans still exist" nailed it
Honestly every video you make like this is just gold
I'll always remember when we were little, the collie would herd me, my sister, one of the cats, and a German pointer upstairs to listen to our parents read a book, she didn't understand the book, no one ever said we needed to, but our parents brought us up to listen and she decided this was what must happen.
Ours got into a petting zoo one day.
Completely untrained, but they still ended up in a small circle in the middle of the pen.
He did the same thing with a group of elderly people. Just decided they were too scattered and went about organising them.
They never felt threatened, but still did what he wanted.
Really, as much as he had a good life, he was wasted on us. Some farmer somewhere was missing out on a first class worker. He'd have loved every minute of that life.
You are so genius I love it! and you acting two roles and the timing, editing is perfect!
This man speaks to our generation
Yeah you should probably update the bible 🤣
I live for your videos they never let me down. I always laugh. Do Christmas dog videos with elf on the shelf. That could be hilarious. Thank you so much
Watch the SNL Elf on the Shelf skit. It’s with Jason Momoa. One of the funniest things they ever did
You forgot to add how they have the "Border Collie stare".
Lost my 13yo BC last week. Thank you for making me smile, your vids are brilliant
Please never stop making these. You are brilliant! ❤
So funny. Love your energy.
I have a shollie Shep collie mix. SHe is soooooo amazing and does that drop down to go into sneak mode lol. She is solid black with speckled white paws and chest. With a half inch white tip on the tail.
I saw this combination the other day but it was a long hair with the same marking pattern of a collie but where the black areas usually are on a border collie it had that kinda brindle colour you see on shepherds
you forgot to add how, given enough land, they make their own athletic running tracks. My sister lived on 10 acres, and her BC made its own circular running track around the perimeter of the property and then trained on it twice a day. Doubling up as Border Patrol, LOL.with no human prompting whatsoever.
And another thing, they love to round up little kids into a corner.
"They're gonna...
crouch down a little bit."
Has me in stitches.
There seems to be a psychological connection between border collies and Drax the Destroyer.
Love this series
‘ ‘ your gonna invade a country three times to make a dog?’’ “YES” has me dying
This skit had everything! The nihilist attitude about humans. The religious-evolutionary crossover where God's plan requires three invasions and mixing breeds from distant lands. The nihilist attitude toward unchanging religious doctrine. The valley girl energy of God and Angel. The sprinkling of actual border collie facts was just the icing on this amazing social commentary cake.
When education meets comedy. I love this bloke 👌💜
he's got the EXACT same face as QTCinderella
"They're so stupid,I love it!"
Border Collie being the smartest dog breed in the world
They took it personally lol
these dog skits are actually working.
The update on the bible part had me rolling.
🤣🤣🤣
Another winner! 👍
“They’re so stupid I love it” 😂 My favorite line behind “America, home of the pigeons”🤣🤣🤣
Love you johny
The crouch is not for stealth. They have a special ankle joint that gives them more turning capacity when crouched like that.
God is _SUCH_ a chaos-junkie. _I LOVE it!_
“they’re gonna crouch a little” literally video game stealth logic 😂
actually Border collies have an intimidating stare. The crouching is also body language for attack in most wild animals.
Collie stealth mode is like a video game character
This is magical, sent it to all my border collie friends
Please do German Shepherds 🤣
Basically a professional stalker....
god was _"born?"_
Man, he can be subtle.
Thank you for making the best memes ever
Please do Australian Shepherds 🙏🏻
As a person who keeps rescuing herding breed (Border Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs, Australian Shepherd) mixes, I agree.
"They're so stupid, I love it!"
"Oh, now _this_ is the best part..."
"They're so stupid, i LOVE It" mood 😂
"They think they are invisible but to other pepole they aren't" That just described my border collie
I'm waiting for the mutt. The ultimate dog breed that is just a mix up and just loves unconditionally
he always surprises me with the dialogues!! so humorous!!
I used to love border collies so much because of how intelligent they are 😄
Hahaha your intelligence and sense of apt humor is just ultimutt. Great vids 😅
Ooooooh i dunno, the Huntaway is a pretty dman good farmdog. They are very stranger friendly, good with cats, and absolutely love working. They are a bit bigger though. Although not very well known since its a breed from new zealand.
"Theyre so stupid I love it!"
Meanwhile the border collies being the smartest dog breed ever
The low key roasting of God is everything.
