Excellent video. I suspected there was something gunked in my hood latch, but this guide was just what I needed to learn how to work the lubricant through and get it working.

I am trying this tonight, yesterday my car was in the Ford dealership for a recall fix, asked them to look at it, was told need complete new assembly $946, if this works they will be hearing from me for sure.

Looking forward to trying this - I have noticed the 2020 Ford Fusions rust very easy with exposed metal surfaces - so I have coated most of the galvanized or exposed surfaces with a lubracant - I picked a lithium based one as I just do it every 6 months in the NE US - homefully will make it easier on the next guy to lossen things up. I did not hit the latches for the hood or trunk - until seeing your video.

My ford fiesta 2016 does same thing... the screws/clips that keeps the parts raised and even... is snapped on bot sides
This Looks make sense. But in reality it just make my problem worse. Maybe i did something wrong. Now my bad side latch is very protruding the hood won't close at all.

Also one thing I noticed after I opened the hood was that the hood prop wasn’t properly seated whoever put it away last time. Idk if it made the area of the left side slightly raised that’s why there was “play” present
