I saw them on the Dynasty tour in New Haven. It was definitely the jumped the shark nail in the coffin for Kiss. On the plus side, Judas Priest opened for them so it was a great show.
I saw the Dynasty show in Toronto in '79. It was magical, my first time at MLG. No hardcore KISS fan back-in-the-day knew how messed-up the band really was, it wouldn't have mattered anyway as a KISS concert was a right-of-passage in the late 70s for teenagers. I do remember Peter Criss playing with his head down the entire show. No 'Hooligan', no 'Dirty Livin' and no Peter solo stuff, just 'Beth' and that was it from him.

Why would peter hate the dynasty tour!? They had the most awesome costumes during that tour! Peter had tons of green fur on him, gene had a flame cape, paul had an epic pink studded costume, and ace had a great looking turquoise blue triangle on him! (And later eric carr would appear and have a red coat and fox fur around his neck)

I love the music 🎶 of KISS!! But some of what they thought was bad, I thought was good by showing a band's versatility. Unmasked was okay, but not exactly my favorite. DYNASTY had about 4 or 5 tracks that I liked, but I have heard that Creatures of The Night was supposed to be 1 of their worst albums, along with Music 🎶 From The Elder! But I actually loved both of them! MFTE makes me think about some of the types of movies that I really enjoy, such as Excalibur! COTN was KISS getting back to what their music was all about. I LOVE IT LOUD!!!

Can’t trust anything that he says as he was so drug & drunk affected...he had no idea what was going on....he quickly became two faced & became nasty, & rude to so many people. He wasn’t contributing, whinged and complained and was a pain to be around... but wanted everything to stay equal.funny that it was Gene and Paul that steered the band and Peter was lucky to come across these driven men ..and rode on their coat tails..Ok, it was so awful BUT Peter Criss is only known because of his short time in kiss , the make up and the show.. If he was a drummer of any other band it would be peter who? I’m glad that Paul and Gene are now really enjoying the band environment without all the negativity’s
