    Thanks for the tips Tyler! I don't know why, but I am always shy when it comes to cropping structures: I get obsessed with trying to show it all, thinking I might crop it "wrongly" and won't give it a sense of scale.

    Coooool! Now I'm gonna try thinking about atmosphere during a piece I'm doing right now. Also, any tips for making a mostly white environment(marble/lime stone castle gardens or something like that) still come off as white while making sure it's not too boring with some sort of coloring? Like, maybe, somehow, interesting shading?

      Wizard of Arts when I have white elements in a piece I make sure to use any color but white

    Getting a bit tired of the knight with a sword or the astronaut with a gun used for scale. I always seems to be just slapped in the front without any further thought to it.

    • @TylerEdlin84
      @TylerEdlin84  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      decentradical it’s because we all love astronauts,, spacemen, and knights. If the image is about the environment then all we need is a scale character.

    Could you pls tell me what does it mean to have a "sense of scale"? Thanks

    • @myiangel6266
      @myiangel6266 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It means to convey a large space (depth). To show how large or small something looks.

    Tyler Edlin, please fix your video title. It should either be "...for creating an..." (not "for create") or "to create an..."

    • @TylerEdlin84
      @TylerEdlin84  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Corvus Delicti you are right I totally missed that, it’s what happens when I set these up way late in the night

    Putting the damn 'human for scale' in every piece of art really does wonders to ruin an otherwise fine picture.
