Clarification: You do NOT start with 3 Gnawholes, you start with 1 and you use your faction ability to add them through the game. Revisited the rules post-episode and see this was an oversight from an assumption with how they work in 3rd edition. Apologies for any confusion
Where does it say that you start the game with three Gnawholes on the board? Unless it's stated explicitly, you would only start the game with a single Gnawhole and would summon the remaining two.
I’m going back to re-read the interaction with gnawholes as we may have taken our 3e assumptions into 4e, and did it wrong. We’re all learning this together.
I got NO idea why i wrote that.... rotman is correct, I accidently added the heroic trait name as the spell lore name. Your only spell lore currently is the "Lore of Ruin". Sorry to bring the bad news
Vermintide is amazing because anyone with some spare rats from the other kits or something and a 120x92mm base can kitbash up a really cheap and good manifestation
Another note, remember you make a plague priest on foot from the screaming bell kit. So I think they are just retiring the finecast model. I expect they’ll realise a new sculpt.
Ahoy Anthony! Hope all is well, man. Been cleaning my hobby space today, and had this gem* of a video come up on my feed. Tis FATE-FATE!! Looking forward to rekindling my presence in the community and happy to say, your content is, and will always be, the best way to get (back) in! 🎉😊
mr coach, whats your opinion on the verminlords? im a shooting enjoyer, huge skryre fan. i have a warpseer and also another not built and dont know what to do with him :/ also what are you finding is the go to loadout for stormfiends atm?
I can help you with that. If you like shooting, Skryre paired with Warpseer seems to be one of the best combos i believe atm. strong support ability. Stormfiends my friend. i think its any(but i likeWarpfire thrower), Ratlingguns and anymelee. only because of the Oversight of the gnawhole rules. i believe Ratling guns is very good cuz you man move them out from the gnawhole and be in shooting range. Skaven is very versatile in general. i hope you pick the looks n love over the mini's first and you still will be good. best of luck.
@@Daiforme2 thanks! yeah I picked the warpseer cause I liked him, but i honestly like all of them. And I just didnt want to magnetize the stormfiends cause I cannot find a guide anywhere.
Hey Chris... if you haven't already found my Discord in the episode description, I recommend checking it out and asking all the Skaven players. I've played against 3 different verminlords and it's hard to pick my favourite at this point. Right now, I would lean into whatever keywords I'm building around... so if you have a lot of Skryre units, I would look at the Skryre Verminlord.
Does it’s actually say you have to deploy all 3 gnawholes to start the match? I swear I’ve seen people play it where they only put two on the board to start and then have the third one to put where they want to later. (I believe this was even done for the showcase match from Dallas last month that was live streamed.)
I’m going back to re-read the interaction with gnawholes as we may have taken our 3e assumptions into 4e, and did it wrong. We’re all learning this together.
Cool, and I totally understand. More than anything was wondering if it was being played wrong before or if they changed something. Appreciate the reply!
So hyped about Verminlord Deceiver, I loved combat shenanigans with him and the new rampage feels really interesting for hero assassination and distuption. Sad to lose shadow magnet trinket though.
Check the pinned comment... we went back to revisit the rules and it appears we brought our 3rd edition assumptions into 4e. You use the battle trait to bring on a gnawhole in enemy territory and it's much better than what we originally discussed
I believe Clan Rats are pretty flexible with regiment options... some of the other units are a little more restrictive. You'll see it this week with the faction packs.
I really dont understand the skilled manipulator thing, if you successfully ward then why would you deal damage to a unit close by when you have prevented damage with a ward roll?

Do you have to set them up in your territory during the game? when you add more to the board etc?
No you don't @@TIBlocker
so excited for skaven this edition, loving the content coach keep up the great work

@@AoSCoach That's it exactly mate, AOS 4.0 will be my first time playing Sigmar and can't wait to field my Skaven army!
Thanks for putting the effort to making good quality stuff for us
Yes-yes, ratz!
I want to see the whole release so I know what actually survived the purge from my current collection
Warhammer Community already published what is leaving the ranges if that helps
Hype!!!!! Can’t wait for it coach! Thank you so much!
Great video. I came here to learn about the enemy and didn't leave disappointed. Awesome!
Good luck handling these pesky rats
“The reason why I like your filth crust…” - I bet he says that to all the honeys 😂
🤣 i don’t know what to say back
@@AoSCoachthen my work here is complete.
Understanding that we have not seen all armys yet what is your take over all on reserver units or deepstrike.
Very Skaveny tactic. but the rules currently, only allows you to pick a unit(1) to come from the "tunnels below". Tactic did cross my mind haha. B.P
As a new player can anyone tell me how many times and how many heroes can use the heroic traits and the artifacts of power
great VOD, love Skaven, love your content, may i ask what Devios Machinators is? and where do i find this spell lore? cant find anything about this
iIs an error, that's the name of the heroic traits list. Its not a spell lore, they only get lore of ruin.
@@rotm4447 curses, i really hoped, we Had another Spell Lore xD, thanks for Clearing this ;)

@@AoSCoach no worries, Lore of Ruin, saved my Butt in my first match ;D i just hoped for an Spell lore that would buff Skryre units even further ;D
For the stormfiends do we think running MSU is the way to go? with Shock Gauntlet, Drill, and flamer?
3 Stormfiends would be tough and definitely not as points heavy as the 6, so yes, I can see MSU working.
OMG so freakin pleased about Thanquol being 1 load out, that made my day. Thank you fellas.
As soon as I saw it I was pretty happy. It was so dumb to have different load outs...

Wouldn’t surprise me if the on foot version is in the battletome supported with a new sculpt
@@AoSCoach I hope so, judging by the underworlds sculpt a new one would be sick. Pun intended.

Good to see you back and no doubt with Skaven... can't wait to see you get stuck into the new Skaven boo and rules.
Thanks, Coach! Love the info. Helps me start off strong.

Great vid lads - well done Bruce!
Any info on when the packs will be out for us mere mortals?
Hopefully not too much longer, if I could release them, i would
This was great and helped with building thr hype while i wait for Skaven tide to arive.
Thanks a lot coach
Pleasure mate. That really was our goal
Will this preview contain new warscrolls and/or points? Cheers 🐀
No
sad
@@John.mm93 Why even make this video if there's no new info to show? lmao
Guess you’ll need to wait and see 🤷
Points aren’t able to be discussed at this point

He’s been good… and i love the shenanigans.
Seems odd that all gnawholes have to be in friendly territory, how doy you pop in and out of gnawholes if they're all in your own territory?

Did either of you come close to considering auxiliaries? Seems like having more drops and less CP would be horrific.
I’ve tried it in one of my lists, however; its a big trade off so i try to avoid it where possible
I can't wait to use scurry away every time to run away from my buddies' ghouls lol.
Oh man its so good. Kills me everytime he gets it off
Awesome video guys, great content 👍
What legends! I need all the advanced intel to beat Bruce and his rodents in 4th ed.
We’ve been training every week at my house… he’ll be tough to beat
Surely clan rats can go in any regiment, they can't force you into running 3 units of gutter runners just to play the deceiver
I believe Clan Rats are pretty flexible with regiment options... some of the other units are a little more restrictive. You'll see it this week with the faction packs.
I'm The 200 clan rat guy
Oh no! I hope you've got a fast deployment
Nice one boys- fingers crossed I can avoid being the worst skaven player in sydney this edition!
🤣 ill play a match with Skaven so you can hold it over me
"gnaw" - pronounced "nor". Please! Please! Listen to your guest - he's pronouncing it correctly.
Correctly to you. Countries and regions prounce things differently... welcome to Geography 101.
I really dont understand the skilled manipulator thing, if you successfully ward then why would you deal damage to a unit close by when you have prevented damage with a ward roll?
it represents the unit intercepting the hit.
It's essentially a bodyguard, rotm nailed it with their response
