The other day I was playing my friend and I charged into one of his screens and took a good few models that were between me and the obj, he pulled models from the back of the unit and then in his turn I made my little 3 inch shuffle around them and got onto the obj and denied him his game winning points
I have a orruks question that I can’t find in FAQ, Gordrakk has a reaction ability that states models within 18” of him get plus 1 to attack when a friendly waaagh is issued, does that stack with the waaagh from the other hero giving plus 1 already? Or is his 18” zone a waaagh amplifier?
Thanks you for covering Ironjawz 💪 This review sounds similar to Gitz in 3rd before the new battletome dropped. Eg, play what you like and have fun. No matter what you list you play other factions are better. I wish we had ogor rules! Kruleboyz wipe the floor with ironjawz with their sneaky tricks.
Thanks all. I appreciate the insights. Haven't tried double gouger yet. Curious what the feeling is on big grikk as a ranged option that also helps deal with opposing centerpiece issues?
Was wondering your opinion on being able to use "Get Stuck In, Ladz" from 2 different warbosses on a single unit of brutes. It's not a passive ability and they are separate units but some of my friends say it violates the Rule of One.
@@imaprog the wording is strange in Waaagh. It reads +1 to hit for friendly ironjawz units (and not melee weapons), so I assume it would affect the whole unit. Another point with Goddraks ability is that the +1 to hit is in effect until the "start of your next turn". So the effect of the +1 to hit may last longer than the Waaaagh ability itself. Happy to be wrong with this one, but that's my understanding of it.
"Weapon does not get bonuses from friendly abilities that affect attacks" it says on Companions. So I guess because Gordrakk's ability does not mention weapons it affects companions then? I wonder if that is intended, other abilities like all out attack explicitly state that they affect companions. Seems inconsistent... Gordrakk would really be nice with big pigs if it is true tho!
I'm enjoying my Ironjawz. 40 Ardboyz have been in my winning lists. Counter charging Ardboyz into a unit that charged me and then punching with the shields is fun.
Unfortunately I don't think it'll make too much of a difference. Not until they make Waaaagh affect companion weapons. Also, if they would make warchanters sub-commanders like the Ardboys big boss, then it would be good. Right now, our list building is quite limited and our buffs don't affect all of our hard hitting units (with the exception of brutes). *Edited grammar
Thanks for the chat gents, really enjoyed the insight!
So cool! Thanks Coach, Dave and Mitch. Big IJ fan here and their current representation and rules really make me sad. Can't wait to listen to this.
Please give us a caster mounted on a Goregrunta!

I feel like Ironjawz suffers from too much rolling for effect, while most other armies just get it.
Same problem with kruleboyz
And Sylvaneth 😢

What website does Australia use for tournaments? TTO? Milarkey? BCP?

I've tried him and I didn't think it was worth the points and loss of IJ units. Might be good for certain armies

Hammer throw
For the Gork list it sounded like Gordrakk was taken for the +1 to hit. But that does not work with companions right?

Love Ironjawz though I admittedly have not played them yet. Hoping their Spearhead will tempt me to grab it.
Is this confirmed to be coming out with the battletome?
@sneakybeak4032 Their so called roadmap mentioned an Ironjawz spearhead. Fingers crossed it's soon in 2025!
@@GamingGuardians ah sick
@@sneakybeak4032 not even a battletome needed it seems, since they announced a spearhead anyway for next year.

I would love to see a Ardboyz list
We need a new talk about Ironjawz now that we can do Waaaaagh several times per game, once per hero.

@@user-hf1uy1oj8v Infantry lists get full benefit from Waagh.
I agree with priest and wizards being difficult to fit into the few-regiments meta.
Love the chat. Ardboys and Zoggrok very absent in discussion. Other than the Hakkin Crew I'd say they are up there as the best Warscrolls.
I agree. The are the core of some great lists
