There's a theory that gets hinted at a lot in the lore that clan pestilence actually worship nurgle rather than the great horned rat. All other clans hate pestilence the most and tend to just stay away from them. Knowing they're dangerous because of the diseases, find them weird and extra sketchy, also kinda think the same theory
Actually there's two canonical explanations about this The first is that Clan Pestilens is worshipping the Horned Rat in one of his many aspects as the God of Ruin, which is as the plague that kills everything and leaves the survivors, namely the Skaven, suffering but stronger for it. Whereas Nurgle is about stagnation as life decays in the continuous cycle of death and rebirth, Clan Pestilens is more about leaving no survivors and leaving the area so diseased nothing will ever flourish there again; the worship of Nurgle is a twisted nature cult that venerates disease and entropy as part of the great cycle of life, while the other is a death cult that believes that the faithful shall endure the hardship of their plagues and inherit whatever is left when the Great Horned Rat is done purging everything. The other plot line is that Clan Pestilens found a rogue Greater Daemon sealed away in Lustria powerful enough to be called a minor Chaos God similar to Belakor or Sigmar, and the daemon is the one giving them knowledge and power about plague magic. The latter was apparently in an old Warhammer Fantasy RPG book, but GW dropped that in favor of the overlap between the Great Horned Rat's plague aspect and Nurgle, and how there initially seems to be some deliberate ambiguity, when in actuality you have two gods and their cults fighting over which interpretation of a 'plague god' is correct, the gross perversion of life and nature or the bringer of death and destruction.
buddy's mania regarding Clan Eshin 100% recreated the feeling of being a teenager in the wargaming section of your local shop suffering through your friend's excitement over their new army.
This is an amazing dive into the lore. Most of the WH lore videos I've seen to this point just feel like fluff that you could get from reading one article. Bit this dude knows his sheeyat.
Regarding how Pestilens find the plagues: if I'm remembering the book "Skaven Pestilens" correctly, it's more or less a Verminlord going "hey, there's a plague here, get it for me.". There's a bit more to it probably but it escapes my memory at this time. EDIT: I haven't finished watching the video when I posted this so I''m not only wrong, but also stupid.

Back in fourth edition fantasy battle when i were a lad, I always played with a brick of plague monks in the middle with censor bearers screening them. They were unkillable. But often the MVPs were the hired clan eshin. One time i played against undead and the assassins killed all of the leaders in the first turn, leaving the entire army to crumble to dust... The drawings are drawn by Corgi during the recording and are drawn into a pdf. I have included a link in the description for you to a google drive with the PDFs for download. At some point down the line we will figure out a better home for the drawings and make them available outside the PDF.
Warcraft was also originally supposed to be a Warhammer game, it literally happened twice. Also, Nagash isn’t just close to being a god, in Age of Sigmar he literally is a god, he overthrew Mor to become the god of the dead
Is there anywhere I can read about clan skryre knowing about the stormcast before everyone else? I did a search on some wikis but couldnt find anything on the Skryre or stormcast pages.
It was mentioned in passing in the 2nd edition Skaven battletome. It's not mentioned in the 3rd edition battletome, it instead says that the Eshin knew and they only told their trusted allies which could reasonably be Skryre.

Clan Morr is best clan-clan!
it's obviously Skyre or Pestilens the Skaven master race will not stand for this slight foolish human-thing!
RATS!
Clearly skryre is bestest. Where else am i supposed to get my nuclear powered Harley with flamethrower miniguns with sawblade spinning rims?
Rats would be a lot cooler if they had cavalry.
Seems like they are kinda getting them, one of the new models is a rat riding a Mutant rat like a horse.
Was that a 'Rats in the walls' tribute at the start?
Yes.
Pretty sure MASTER clan has that name for a reason.

Na na na, the can't buy stuff for 6 months due to scalpers is for the good games (such as old wirld). AOS will be fine.
That's valid, I just like age of sigmar for the models, got real nice models.
