「Muroto Voice」は、大地と結びつく暮らしで染み付いたその人の当たり前を声にして届け、あなたとSDGsの距離を埋める。
備長炭を国内一生産する高知県のなかでも、室戸市は最大の生産地となっている。第１回はこの地の炭焼き職人、川田勇（42）さんを追った。生まれ育った室戸で生活し続けることに葛藤を抱えながらも、10年前に地元の伝統産業に携わることを決意。日々、原木を求めて山に入り、職人仲間と切磋琢磨してきた。独立し、自身の炭窯を持って9年経った今、地元に対する思いとは。

"Muroto Voice" will show you local people's thoughts shaped by their livings in harmony with nature and give you a clue to grasp an idea of SDGs.
Muroto City is the largest producer of Tosa Binchotan Charcoal in Japan. The star of the first video in this video series is Mr. Isamu KAWADA (42) who is a binchotan charcoal producer. He was born and raised in Muroto. He has been struggled to live in Muroto, a very small town. 10 years ago, he decided to start binchotan charcoal manufacture, local traditional industry and it has been about 9 years since he owned his charcoal kiln. Now what does he think about his hometown?
