    Disagree with your pull up analysis to be honest. Sure, people struggle with them but there is no reason not to get good at them and just because it says weighted, doesn’t mean you need to add tons of weight, you can simply add weight in small increments until you can achieve the upper end of the recommended rep range while maintaining proper form. Anyone strong enough to do this program should be able to do 4-6 reps strict pull ups.

      Hey man Nippard went over this and he recommends you run PB 1.0 first before you jump into PB 2.0. The reason for this is so that you can recover more efficiently since PB 2.0 is a lot more volume than PB 1.0. But at the end of the day it’s up to you man.

    • @Cynical_B
      @Cynical_B 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don’t NEED to run PB 1 before PB 2, but the Nip man recommends you run PB 1 before PB 2 so you build a solid foundation before hopping onto PB 2. Although the decision is yours.

    Your comment at 15:15 about weighted pull ups didnt make much sense to me. If you are not able to perform weighted pull ups use BW or bands to help you. The stimulus will be there anyway and this way you don't need to change the exercise to lat pulldowns. Pull up is the king of pulling exercises!! It is worth to mention that this program is intended to intermediate to advance lifters so is safe to assume that weighted pull ups should be a achievable exercise.

    Hey man, love your videos. You go into great detail about the programs and as someone who doesn't really know anything about this stuff, I'm grateful this kind of content exists. One question I have about the program is if it is a good idea to repeat the program after the 10 week period is over. What I want is a program that I can stick to for a long period of time, and if this program can only be cycled once or twice, then it is not worth it. What are your thoughts?

    • @LiftingExplained
      @LiftingExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, you should be repeating it. Most programs are only effective after repeating multiple times. If you respond well to it, then you can keep doing it in long term. Just would need to take a deload after week 10.

    • @LiftingExplained
      @LiftingExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They're two different programs. 1.0 helps you build a base and put on some size, while 2.0 mainly concentrates on hypertrophy. They build off each other.

      @kevinjobe2078 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really it was thing for long time and it is good for people who want something new.You must pick or powerlifting(strength )or hypertrophy(muscle )program depending want to you want if you want to have best results.Simple overload and progress and consistency matter in end.I trained powerlifting and i train now hypertrophy because i m older and risk reward is better also if if you train hypertrophy in is harder then powerlifting because you need more nutrition and mentally focus to be in that.People love to lift for ego but if you want to do it all your life you must pick smart choices and know how to rest and how to not get injured.You are young but sooner you learn it will better for you and watch Renesanse Periodization videos trust me they know what they talk.Also i think Jeff have great programs but for people who are new in that because when you know your body you pick your program and it is simple to learn.

    • @LiftingExplained
      @LiftingExplained  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is going to be dependent on the individual. Some can handle higher volumes vs others. You can make a modification to lower the overall volume and build up to what is written when you feel you're making progress and recovering well. You can also repeat phase 1, no problem in doing that. You can also modify the first phase to add a bit more volume in that to help your body to adapt to that.
