Great review. I have all of the Essentials Programs as I did the pre-order. I started with the 2 day split to ease myself back into lifting, and I really enjoyed it. In fact, towards the end, I really wanted to lift more, and I took that as a good sign that it helped me with burnout and increased my motivation. Not to mention, I did see progress.

    1. Loved the video quality. The background lights and the light that "shines on your face" are absolutely awesome and a pleasure to look at.
    2. Your style of talking. Very authentic, down to earth and yet funny. Overall entertaining, easy to watch, yet informing!
    3. The content! Your video was EXACTLY what I was looking for. An easy overview and understanding of what I am getting myself into, when I invest into Jeff's program. Awesome!

I have both programs - in my opinion, the two programs take different approaches: Jeff Nippard by training to muscle failure - RP Simple Plan compensates for muscle failure by increasing volume. So I wouldn't say that one program is better or worse - it's more a question of which one suits the trainee better. Personally (!), the only thing I find is that Jeff Nippard's program falls significantly short on the legs.

as someone who hasn't properly gotten back into lifting since the beginning of the pandemic, this seems like a good fit. I feel that I need to get back into the routine before going back to the gym, so that i know ill go consistently when I go (get my money's worth). I looked at his fiances programs, and she has an at home program, which actually may be favorable for doing exercises at home to get back into a routine prior to a membership. It is also very flexible depending on level of weightlifter and the materials accessible at home.

The first exercise is flat dumbbell press.
Let's say for the warm up sits I did
    1st with 5kg 6 reps
    2nd with 7.5kg 6 reps
    3rd with 10kg 6 reps
Then I will do the working one with 15kg.
How much time do I rest between them is it 3 min after finishing all of them?
And for the second exercise if I dropped the weight I need more than 10 reps to reach rpe 9-10

    • @dylandelaporte7073
      @dylandelaporte7073 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I actually asked someone i knew doing Jeff's other programs,
He said for warm up sets he'd have 1-2mins rest between them and then do the working sets after.
For the second exercise your talking about if it says RPE of 9-10 and a certain rep count for that exercise,
If your able to do more reps then the suggested rep range then your not hitting an RPE of 9-10 since you should be 1 rep from failure or at complete failure for that rep range.
If it suggested 10-12 reps of an RPE of 9-10 then just keep adding weight until you can only do 1 more rep of the exercise or complete failure at 10-12 reps.

Still around. Working on a new video, and plan to pick up the pace again real soon. Had a lot happen the past few months that got in the way, pretty much sorted things put now.

My channel was deleted for some odd reason, but what I say still stands:
STOP REVIEWING HYPERTROPHY PROGRAMS IF YOU DON’T EVEN TRAIN FOR IT-ITS STUPID.

Nah, I'm gonna keep doing what I want to do. My background and experience provides me the ability to make these reviews and I've talked plenty with those with real experience in hypertrophy. No one forces you to watch my videos, so don't. I've also never heard of your channel or know why you had to bring that up, but I couldn't care less if you think what you said still stands.

Don’t act like I haven’t been in your head rent-free, lmao.
But just in case you have amnesia, it’s the same dude who put you on a grill last summer for being a tennis player, under a new name. For one, and two, like I said last time, your credentials should be backed by your experience, but it seems like you don’t have any because you’re an actual, real life, in the flesh DYEL. Also, blatant Appeal to Authority Fallacy; just because you hang around Hypertrophy guys, doesn’t mean what you say is any more credible. In the realm of training (for general goals like fat-loss or mass gain, not sports-related endeavors), experience and personal progress matters more than anything you can get at a school or program, and apparently you don’t have either; If you look on your own Instagram with your home workout, not only is the workout dukey (did you put it together with your eyes closed?), but your form is awful (you have terrible scapular winging and struggle with explosive pushups, yet, if I recall correctly, you were either working to or could deadlift 405 in the past).
The only thing good about your videos is the HD camera quality in all honesty, so I rather take a bullet to the dome (or a tennis ball; have it your way, lmao) than to watch them. I’m only here to remind you that this is very disingenuous, hiding behind sports-specific training (not even any evidence of you playing tennis available) so you can talk about whatever to however without backlash. Most of the people on your channel are beginners, and you’re only going to worry them by addressing which regimen is the most optimal workout program (when anything is better than nothing for newbies).

@@idihcerebe Jesus dude, what is wrong with you? You write all that and continue to watch my videos but claim that I'm the one who has you in my head rent free? Clearly it's the other way around. I barely remember any of that and haven't cared or thought about it since. Just move on and get a life. I'm out.

@@idihcerebe This isn't an ad hominem fallacy, you're the one attacking me, not the other way around. I'm willing to bet I addressed your point the last time, so why would I do it twice? Besides, any response I give all you're gonna do is continue to attack me and bring me down further. This is the last thing I'm gonna say, and I really say this with sincerity and friendliness, please don't act this way. It won't help you any and won't make you happy. Like I said, just move on and watch who you wanna watch. Take care, and I mean that.
