Awww, Thanks. I'm working on Part 2, it should be up before the weekend is over. I'm also doing "A Day at Grand Tulum" and "All About The Food" (or similar) that will include Thali, Don Pablo and Tequila scenes. Along with 4-6 vids from Luxury Akumal. All in the next few weeks. Jeff (Papaw)
I‘m from germany and visit this Hotel in 2000 and 2004 . Next year i will visit it again and this video gives me a lot of new Information . Trank you for that ❤️ Best greetings from germany , Silke 🌞
I'm staying at Grand Coba next week and all your content makes me feel even more excited! Do you know if we are going to be able to use Tulum facilities or just the restaurants? Great videos:)
Your question has been a great topic for debate for the past year and there has been conflicting answers from Bahia. Please, PLEASE - as soon as you can after check in and learning the absolute truth let me know any way you can. Comment here or email me at papawgotagopro@gmail.com. Jeff (Papaw)
@@papawgotagopro after making some research I found out that since the Tulum renovations people staying at Coba can only use the restaurants. The info is their website: www.bahia-principe.com/es/faqs-tulum/ (the link is in spanish but i'm sure they have an English version as well.) Anyways.. we found out this morning Coba is closing again due to the stage of the pandemic and i'm checking out what options the Grand Bahía staff can give me. Hope this information is useful!
Yes, that statement has been on their website for a year and something is lost in translation. I talked with managers at Grand Tulum a few weeks ago and they are expecting Coba guests to have all of their usual access at Grand Tulum. There obviously is a disconnect. You say you've been told that Coba is NOT opening as planned next week? Who told you that?
@@papawgotagopro I emailed them yesterday to make the building request as I saw in other of your videos and they replied me this morning with the news, I'm currently checking with both Bahía staff and my travel agency the alternatives they can give me.
Interesting. If Coba does not open in time you'll be assigned either Grand Tulum or Luxury Akumal. You might not find out until you arrive. Either way you'll have a great vacation.
They have a Nestle machine at the Acuario snack bar. Maybe a 5 minute walk. Lobby has a full coffee bar but I'm not sure of it's operating hours. Jeff (Papaw)
Luxury Akumal guests have full access to everything at Grand Tulum, including restaurants. But Grand Tulum guests have no access at all to Luxury Akumal. No restaurants. Jeff (Papaw)
The Hero 9 Black. Everything is 4K at 30FPS in Linear Lens with Horizon Level On & stabilization on "High", not boost. GoPro Color with auto Shutter & white balance & Comp EV at -0.5. Jeff (Papaw)
I like them both a lot! If price is similar I'd choose Akumal for unlimited a la carte reservations, more comfy loungers and drink service to those loungers. But I never hesitate to stay at either Grand Tulum or Grand Coba. Jeff (Papaw)
You're adorable Papaw!! Making me miss our second home. ❤️

I loved this video u r awesome papaw
Thank you for watching! We hope to return and stay at Grand Tulum with a grandson or 2 in September.

@@papawgotagopro that will be so much fun! My family is going in august
Out of each option to stay at. Which one is closest to the beach? Which area has pool and beach closest together?
Both Grand Tulum and Luxury Akumal are right “ON” the beach. All pools at both are adjacent to the sand.
Jeff (Papaw)
How's the drinking water at the resort? Going in August and wondering if we need to bring our own filtration or stick to bottled and no ice.
Bottled water is available everywhere and they use filtered water for ice. Never ever drink water from taps. We've never had a problem.
Jeff (Papaw)
Thanks you for the video; which is better to stay for family with children Akhmal or Tulum? we like bearch and good food. Thanks
Luxury Akumal is always better. You have full access to everything at the other resorts. But not the other way around.

I got a question.
How far is it to walk to get a cappuccino in the morning before breakfast from building 83 akumal ?
