I was at a barrel race & a generator in the back of the trailer...killed a mother & her daughter from fumes. Be so careful!! Generators have to be on top of the horse trailer to be truly preyty safeI was taught. I could be wrong but please check! After see'n that this worried me...I'm sure he knows what he's doing but up top is better! 🙏🤠🇺🇸🇨🇱
I have an 1998 Exiss horse trailer with a fifth wheel hook up. Dry weight 7,000 wet 14,000. It was special ordered from the factory with a ramp instead of doors in the back. Tie downs for toys. Living quarters in front. I’ve got rid of microwave, couch, and furnace. I put in a blue flame heater. I replaced my propane refrigerator for a 12 volt one. I special ordered a 2000 Ford power stroke. I now have 451,000 miles on it. My trailer I bought in 2002. My pickup and my trailer has the same size tires 16 inch wheels. I can boondock for six weeks without dumping my tanks. I love my set up. JamesInBensonArizona P. S. I ❤️ Ur Videos
Helm 361 - definitely! Most RVs, especially newer ones, are made so cheaply with sub standard materials. I belong to several RV facebook groups and I'm amazed at the trouble people have with new RVs
yeah im kinda worried because of that since I want to do this, I don't know how to build stuff so i kinda stuck with a class C or B RV. I would go with this if I knew how to build stuff.
Helm 361 - I'm in no way an expert but from what I have seen, the materials in newer ones is cheap and thecworkmanship can be less than desirable. Personally, I ended up buying a 2002 model A-frame trailer that I'm in the process of fixing up.
400 watts! zowie he is set! I like the abundance of storage, those wall racks keep things from cluttering the place. He has done a great job. That is a luxurious camp life.
Better frame. Better axles. Sturdier body. Built to last. I've seen quite a few horse trailers in the USA with a human living space in the front half. It's not that uncommon. It might be common in the UK amongst the livestock community for all I and possibly you know.
I would be in heaven with this trailer. Find a few nice destinations to bounce around to based on the weather and I would definitely enjoy my retirement.
Awesome !!! Just today my buddy suggested I look at converting a gooseneck horse trailer for my tiny/mobile home. I'd never thought of that option before .... This video really opened my eyes, all aluminum tough/rust free .... 24 ft + 8 ft over truck - flip the axles/springs AND 7 ft high ceilings!!!! (I'm 6'6" and my pet peave is not being able to stand straight in a camper/trailer). Perfect solution. Love Gary's basic layout too. Living and a huge garage area with a dedicated bed space too. Love it ! Thank you for putting this 2 part video together. Cheers
i really second that, my hubby is 6'8 and it doesn't matter how much i appreciate this lifestyle, it's just too hard to accommodate his height! i love this thinking outside the box!
Lawrence B yeah, he was fangirling a bit there. Haha. But, rightfully so. I was impressed at the amount of toys he carried...motorcycle...bike...2 kayaks.. he must take his kids out occasionally to have 2 kayaks?
Love it all, There is no other way to describe, what Gary put together creating his one of a kind home on wheels. Stay safe, Be careful and Keep on rolling.
Great idea! I have had a 3 horse gooseneck in the past for my horses. The sleeping area is always where the bed is, and the living quarters is always set up to live in. Like how he did his. The horse area is cool how he converted it. Those aren't escape hatches, they are for ventilation, and a/c units lol.
That's my kind of trailer. All he needs is an air conditioner, but there's so much room to move around. Great idea for a nomad! Nice video Bob, short and to the point. Thanks
Gary seems like a nice cool guy who made an amazing transformation of a horse trailer into a home with absurd lot of space in his garage-part. It is all nicely organized and aires a feeling of space and peacefullness. Very nicely done. It is an unusually large horsetrailer so he can do just about anything in there. What a way to go! Thanks for sharing Gary and Bob!
I love the horse trailer idea, And I like the fact that the ceiling is so high. I Purchased a little school bus to build into my Tiny house so that I can travel, More as a work camper, and I’m feeling a little discouraged right now and my time frame Has changed. But watching these videos encourages me, so I will get there.
Gary's Horse Trailer conversion has just blown me away. Please thank Gary for me. It's going to take me sometime to digest everything. Thank you Bob for another great video, Barb
Wow, Gary nailed it perfectly. Perfect conversion of a horse trailer into a home on wheels. He laid it out and planned it extremely well. Great job! Happy travels Gary.
This is probably the most creative one I have seen I mean we always see RV's and Skoolies and stuff like this However this is probably the best idea. If I was as creative as this guy this would be my next home.
I’m a lady and I would live in something so unique! This gentleman certainly keeps everything nice and neat OK good quality great job on the video Bob thank you very much!👍👍👍👍💙
Great build Gary! I wouldn't change anything. He has everything he needs. With his solar and water capacity he can be out there for a long time! Thanks Bob!
I'm wanting to find a old horse trailer to do this. When I was little I camped at horse show where it was to far away to go home for the night. It's a miracle I'm still alive because I rode in the trunk bed going to the shows and would have to duck so the trailer wouldn't hit me in the head. Where he slept we put hay and our sadles and things we needed. If it was storming or to cool to ride in the bed I rode in there. If anyone would do stuff with kids like was done when I grew up they wouldn't know what to do about it. God I miss those days!!!
OMG, amazing! And a humble man. It appears well planned out. Horse trailers are very strong, for those heavy horses shuffling around. Glad to see you using straps as they are more secure than bungee cords. It's great to have your garage with you. Would love to see it in person.
Wouldn't think a horse trailer that looks unconverted would draw attention like a parked RV does. Possibly stealth camp in some pretty nice areas near riding trails or horse stables or even in many neighborhoods for that matter.
Great build "Gary." Love what you've done very unique tiny house. I love reading comment's from other viewer's and I think "Gary" is definitely the most sought out man of the hour. Gary everyone is very impressed with the build and you.👍🏡🙋Cheers to the ladies 🍷they have great taste🗽
Zeke Krahlin 🤦🏼♀️ The comments are complimentary to "Gary" from the women and pretty mean from the men pretty much women haters🤷🏼♀️ Yes, some people have had almost everything taken from them including myself and I'm a woman. Gold diggers are nationwide and in every country male and female I'm sorry if I've said anything to make you angry 😡. I really try to stay positive no matter what and I was reading the comments and wrote a comment myself🙉🙈🙊 and on that note I'm unsubscribing to this channel.
Perhaps Bob’s best video ever. This guy is amazing as is his trailer. And you certainly couldn’t call him a minimalist-he’s got more stuff than I do in my 3 bedroom house. Really great story.
I like everything he has done to this, one of the best ideas I've seen in a long time. For me I would want easier access to the bed and less storage in the back, but that's just what I would want.
So many great functional ideas here. I'd love to see a trailer that is more feminine and takes advantage of the horse trailer curves, but this one is really cool, functional.
Wow. This is cool. I love the garage area section. The actually manufactor gooseneck horse trailers with living quarters. They are marketing to people who travel for competitions but there are people who go camping with their horses and trail ride instead of hiking on foot. Horse trailers with living quarters are good for traveling with any kind of livestock. There was a video about a famy.that had their farm animals (goat and chickens for milk and eggs) in a schoolie outfitted as a tiny house. So there are ways to travel with animals. But the garage idea. I love it. You could do something like a greenhouse garden sunroom area in a gooseneck stock trailer with a tack room. A lot of them have a "tackroom" which is basically behind the gooseneck, which could be outfitted to live in. And there are probably tons of heavy duty metal horse trailers sitting around not being used anymore that could be acquired cheaply and repurposed.
I think a used Featherlite would be a heck of a base for an excellent camper. Depending on the features it came with, originally, you might not have much work to complete the conversion to something like this DIY. I had the same idea some years ago, and I think if I wanted a camper, I'd do something like this gentleman got, only smaller. I was looking at new and used horse and cargo trailers for a camper build. I agree that that aluminum horse trailer is far superior to any of the name brand toy haulers and such. Horse trailer is a sort of toy hauler right out of the factory. In my research, I discovered that these trailer companies will fall all over themselves to give you every feature, and make it all pro grade and time tested. Built to last, for commercial customers who plan to haul goods or operate a field office. Battery bank, generator compartment. Plumbing and wiring. Windows and doors anywhere you want them. Rear door is a ramp for horses that works great for a 4-wheeler or snowmobile. Featherlite was one of the main companies, and I think they're still going strong. I admire the craftsmanship. For me to do something, I'd have to pay a bunch of people a lot of money.
So proud to call you my dad. You amaze me with everything you do. Love you.
I was at a barrel race & a generator in the back of the trailer...killed a mother & her daughter from fumes. Be so careful!! Generators have to be on top of the horse trailer to be truly preyty safeI was taught. I could be wrong but please check! By girl is 3 months old
I hope she thinks the same when she’s big enough:)
Totally awed by this build.
All the comforts of home. A forever home that will never go bad

Brilliant! A horse trailer is so much sturdier than a typical flimsy stick & staples trailer. This will last a lifetime.
I like how he put his sink sideways, great spacesaver.
Finally a tiny home with a true garage. So many other people calling their cargo area, that's the size of a closet or box, a "garage".
Hes a genius. An artist and engineer and craftsman and the list goes on and on and on! Fantastic!
Those letters were an error
That's a big trailer! ...a nomad's mansion! lol ...nice man cave
He is very organized and efficient !
Now I want a horse trailer. When you went into the garage, it sold me. Thanks to both of you guys for making this video.
Wanda Tolbert "semi-stealth", that's how I feel in my class C when I am among other RVs that are bigger than mine.
I'd take this over a RV any day.
Kathy McG from what you've seen, what are the best yet affordable travel trailers and RVs?
Helm 361 - I'm in no way an expert but from what I have seen, the materials in newer ones is cheap and thecworkmanship can be less than desirable. Personally, I ended up buying a 2002 model A-frame trailer that I'm in the process of fixing up.
Me too!!

Wow. I'm very impressed with the work he has done. And all the room he has!
Beautiful home ... OMG I gave a crush on Gary ... so handsome, smart, funny ... 🌷
Too skinny for me. I like the teddy bear type.
Brilliant. Also, I totally approve of the escape hatches.
I've never seen a horse trailer (what in the UK we call a "horse box") converted for human living. It seems like a great idea.
Better frame. Better axles. Sturdier body. Built to last.
I've seen quite a few horse trailers in the USA with a human living space in the front half. It's not that uncommon. It might be common in the UK amongst the livestock community for all I and possibly you know.
I was wondering about a horse trailer conversion. Gary did an excellent job.
I would be in heaven with this trailer. Find a few nice destinations to bounce around to based on the weather and I would definitely enjoy my retirement.

That's an awesome home. I'm too tall for the average cargo trailer, but a horse trailer like that would be perfect.
Kragatar - that's what I like about it, too. I'm only 5' 5" but I get claustrophobic so having a higher ceiling height is awesome.
If you are ordering one new, most cargo trailers can be ordered pretty much as tall as you want
i really second that, my hubby is 6'8 and it doesn't matter how much i appreciate this lifestyle, it's just too hard to accommodate his height! i love this thinking outside the box!
I enjoyed Gary’s voice. He could read to me and I would go straight to sleep
all the comfort of home .... beautifully done ✅
Thanks for the tour of your trailer.Your confidence & joy of building are well reflected in a mobile home.
He's done an awesome job.
Very nice rig...! He is a smart man. Great set of vids Bob👍
First time I have seen Bob over whelmed with someone home made project! Awesome job Gary!
Lawrence B yeah, he was fangirling a bit there. Haha. But, rightfully so. I was impressed at the amount of toys he carried...motorcycle...bike...2 kayaks.. he must take his kids out occasionally to have 2 kayaks?
@@beeonthyme5760 or a woman friend :)
That guy is very likable. Nice conversion - seems to have more of a "house" feel than a trailer feel. Nice work!
I keep imagining him bathing in a kiddie pool...! So many handy-men in these videos- have to respect them all!
Love it all, There is no other way to describe, what Gary put together creating his one of a kind home on wheels. Stay safe, Be careful and Keep on rolling.
What a cool guy! Love his easy going demeanor.
Great idea! I have had a 3 horse gooseneck in the past for my horses. The sleeping area is always where the bed is, and the living quarters is always set up to live in. Like how he did his. That’s a perfect bachelor rig. Even great for a guy getting away from home every now and then. I’m with you
That's my kind of trailer. All he needs is an air conditioner, but there's so much room to move around. Great idea for a nomad! Nice video Bob, short and to the point. Thanks
wow what a great trailer and Interview. He definitely put some time and effort into maken a nice home
Great Tour of his horse trailer home! Very Clever!

Wow what a smart man.that is just asom. My husband would have just loved somthing like this.
That trailer is huge
I know :D I was like "wait.... there's a back ? :O" they sell these in my town for less than 1k depending on the size.
I love the horse trailer idea, And I like the fact that the ceiling is so high. I love all the light from the windows. Really lightens the trailer up.
Wow, Gary nailed it perfectly. Perfect conversion of a horse trailer into a home on wheels. He laid it out and planned it extremely well. Great job! Happy travels Gary.
Gary, it would be nice to see more horse trailer conversions. This was was nice and spacious enough to include his man cave!
This is probably the most creative one I have seen I mean we always see RV's and Skoolies and stuff like this However this is probably the best idea. If I was as creative as this guy this would be my next home.
Thank you for sharing Gary and CheapRV, - That is the ULTIMATE man cave / toy hauler ever, absolutely fantastic.
Gary, thank you for sharing your mobile home. Never thought about a horse trailer. Interesting concept.
Wow!!! It’s beautiful!!!👠👠👠
That's the best conversion home I've seen yet like everything about the camper trailer travel all over.
Best I've seen. Perfect size. A family could live in this much space.
This is just awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All he needs is a washer and dryer. Wow!
Thanks Bob!
I saw one driving the other day and thought it would be great to convert so thank you for this!
That was amazing. I wouldn't have a problem living in there. Great use of space.
Gary is very talented and has a unique vision for what he has done! Excellent video too.

I'm so impressed with this! Wow! I agree with the comment below, "I'd take this over an RV any day!" Nicely done!
It's really nice place. He did a good job.
This is just wonderful! What fun! Thank you both for sharing!
Wouldn't think a horse trailer that looks unconverted would draw attention like a parked RV does. Possibly stealth camp in some pretty nice areas near riding trails or horse stables or even in many neighborhoods for that matter.
amazing, I wouldn't change a thing, it doesn't need a woman's touch. It's perfect!
Your channel is awesome.
I love the way you talk to people.
Your attitude is perfect.
This is very interesting!

Would women be interested in Gary if he lived in a run down crappy rv? Hmmm
Cool! Man cave! Great description for his toy hauler/garage in the back. Awesome. Really enjoyed this one.
Perhaps Bob’s best video ever. This guy is amazing as is his trailer. And you certainly couldn’t call him a minimalist-he’s got more stuff than I do in my 3 bedroom house. Really great story.
Watch out, Gary! Some of the ladies are ready to pounce, lol!
What a awesome build!
this is fantastic.....next to Dale with the step van, these two are the greatest......Kudo's Gary......5 star
Great setup Gary! I really liked how well thought out your setup is.
This is really neat, he did a great job ! And so much room , i can see why he enjoys this horse ... better trailer. Great for him and great 👍 job.
FINALLY!!! SOMEONE CONVERTED A HORSE TRAILER!! GREAT VIDEO!!
I like everything he has done to this, one of the best ideas I've seen in a long time. For me I would want easier access to the bed and less storage in the back, but that's just what I would want.
Wow!!! What an awesome home! I love everything about it!!
Great job Gary! Thanks Bob! Always thought why not convert a horse trailer and so I had to watch this one. 😊
as a horse gel I can appreciate the usefulness of a horse trailer :^) TY for sharing
He has a lovely home.. thanks for sharing 🤗
Wow just wow? He did a great job
Bob you've probably planted some seeds for some folks looking for a great way to build out their own home on wheels!
Love how he has his sink that is a genius idea, I hate one bowl sinks no matter how big.
I am a woman and I love his setup. All the toys; ready for fun!
Wow that s a perfect set up love it,thank you for sharing big hugs from MN

Greetings Gary. This was AWESOME/PRICELESS. You're just so inspirational. This is so out of the box, amazing. Be safe, healthy &blessed always
I did some work on a horse trailer for more room, and they would make a very nice outfit! Great job on that!
I thank using a horse trailer for camper is a great idea
Wow what a nice Man and is this where all the Good Men are hiding hehe Thank You for sharing Bob :) Great idea the Horse Trailer
He reminds me of Stan Lee, and a converted trailer is the way to go
Hey!!! Do your horses know you jacked their trailer??? Haha!! Looks totally awesome😀
😂😂😂😂😂
His trailer is better than a lot of prebuilt trailer people buy.
A very neat and tidy single talented guy. Don't see those very often. Lol.
I thought about this years ago. Just never did it. Now I have a daughter so the whole trailer I would have to use.
Gary’s voice sounds like he could do a voice over for a cartoon/ or western
What a chill and cool dude...
Looks well planned out very nice.
I think a used Featherlite would be a heck of a base for an excellent camper.
Great job Gary.
Love the hide-a-ball as well.
This is amazing I love it!! Beautiful and very impressive
I’ve always said horse trailers make a great home / mini garage. Nice job!
