Just like everyone else I'm in a constant learning process and I want to correct myself, as one of you brought to my attention: you CAN in fact change track lenght on the MPC to be shorter than sequence lenght. I didn't know that, but now I know. I want to add that Maschine's patterns are still more flexible as you can record for how long you feel like and pick and choose the part you want to use, by changing start and end point of the pattern 😀
But MPC Counters That When You are in Record Mode Using Pad Mute and Or Pad Group also Track Mute and Or Track Group... You Can Punch In And Out Whatever You Like at Any Point In Time, and If You Pre select Your Groups, Your Arrangements Become Flawless If You Have Your Time Correct Activated... And If Somehow You Mess Up, You Still Have The Option To Go Into Track Mute Mode And Use Precision To Manually Place Your Mute Makers On Whatever Section Of Any Track and any Point That You Like... TRUE FLEXIBILITY.😁
Mpc tracks can definitely have individual lengths while running in the same sequence. Furthermore, the q-links can adjust the semitones of the whole program without leaving the screen if set to the right q-link mode or if customized. Cheers and congrats. Just So You Know... When On The Main Screen Of The MPC, If You Go to The Track Section (Which is in The Middle) On The Right Side Where it Says "Length" and Usually Underneath it it Has (Seq) All You Have To Do Is Change the Seq To Beats... 1, 2, 3, 4, Ect Ect Ect. To Get Your Desired Track To Play At A Different Length of Bars than The Original Sequence of Everything else... Its Quite Easy To Do. The other Stuff you May have a Point on...Except That The Touch Screen Access Outweighs The Clicky Buttons because The XYFX of The MPC allows More Creativity. 😁
Hey family! Great vid. The difference between Kontakt is the it is a sampler based for sounds and Play Series as opposed to Komplete Kontrol having all the sounds from expansions to samples you can use, etc. I prefer Maschine anyway and never thought I would be on it like I have been. Been a NI user for over 8 years.
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, the kontakt / komplete thing was a bit of a jab towards NI’s a little KONfusing ecosystems (confusing to me at least). I feel I have best of both worlds with the MPC that I can bring everywhere and do what I do most of the time, and the Maschine for my mad scientist approach with tons of plugins which only my computer can handle 😀
When I had neither, I was shopping between the Live2 / One and Machine+. The person in the story was hyped about the Machine+. He liked the workflow and he was pushing what he liked. Glad I went my own way because the MPC work flow works better for me. None of its advantages sold me. Maschine seem to work better in controller mode.

Maschine/+ is NO CONTEST FOR MPSC LIVE/2/X/ONE, SORRY. MASCHINE IS JUST LACKING AND WAY OVER PRICED FOR ALL THAT IT LACKS...
I like both Maschine and MPC, they have their strenghts and weaknesses. It's just comes down to which workflow you like.😃
