    Nice to see a reviewer put in the work needed for this game! Love the energy!

    My local board game café does this thing that you can hire a guru to come and teach you a game, and he/she will bring it. 👍🏻

      @TabletopTurtle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Our local game cafe seems to have stopped doing that. Now it feels like nobody really knows how to teach most of the games on the shelf.

      Forgot to mention funny 😄. Poop Voidfall sounds like a very serious condition.

    Really good review. I have this on my list of games to play. Glad to hear it is not heavy into PvP.

      Nope! It's there and probably shouldn't be ignores but it's not the primary objective

    Thanks for the in-depth review, you really notice how often you have played the game.
    Have you ever tried out the cooperative modus?

    • @TabletopTurtle
      @TabletopTurtle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! It was a fun exhaustive effort. Sadly, we don't play a lot of cooperative games. We are partners that prefer to beat on one another in a board game rather than work together. We should have stipulated that in the review, but I suppose we forgot.

      @AmertumeB ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@TabletopTurtle I really recommend you try the cooperative version. It's much more tense and the experience is worth it, even if you're not much of a coop gamer.

    Excellent review. This is the review I’ll send to my game group to encourage them to agree to play the game. 🤞Subscribed. Thanks.

      Haha oh my the pressure! Hopefully they're convinced and you have a good time with it! Dear Henchman friends, just play the damn game your boy bought for your entertainment!

      Thanks for the subscription! Playing the game really did feel that way in the best possible manner.

    Good review. This game looks like an investment of effort and it's important to understand the pros and cons first. I'm the one who would set it up, so that doesn't bother me. It's the initial learning curve. My wife can handle even On Mars once we played a time or two, so I'd like to believe she could handle this. Thanks

    • @TabletopTurtle
      @TabletopTurtle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! It is a bit of an effort but we think the tutorial version of the game really is a must when learning because it makes the entire experience far more digestible in a single sitting. I would say that if you played that version first, the game wouldn't be any harder to understand than On Mars. So if she can handle that, she can handle Voidfall!

    Hey, great review, very well done 🙂
    If you don't mind me suggesting something, that would be timestamps (really would help me search the video by topic) and more b-rolls ;-)
    Really love the format, wish you success and alll the best.

      Mike's occupation has never been represented in a board game before, so he was a little too excited! It won't be long till I find that card framed in the living room some day!

    Would you recommend the galactic box over retail? Do you think it's worth the hefty price? I think it's going from $200-400 atm 😂 awesome review btw!!

    • @TabletopTurtle
      @TabletopTurtle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly, I think the retail version is better if only because it actually takes less time to set up!

    • @johnathanrhoades7751
      @johnathanrhoades7751 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have the galactic box and I would never spring for it over the retail knowing what I do now. It’s not “worse” per se but it is bigger and it really doesn’t need to be.

    I'm wondering if you've played Feudum and how these games compare complexity wise. Would love to watch a Feudum review! Maybe you have no interest in that one?

    • @TabletopTurtle
      @TabletopTurtle  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a game I've looked at a lot but never tried. I'll have to find a copy.

    • @johnathanrhoades7751
      @johnathanrhoades7751 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Feudom is the epitome of fiddly rules. This game is much better with that. Not only is the iconography very helpful once learned there are a ton fewer rules exceptions and little rules that are easy to forget.
      Feudom is so cool, but this one is easier to teach (though still not easy…)

    too much is sometimes too much

      Sometimes. But of course we are all a little different on where that line is that we think is just too much.

      The crisis board can quickly end plans if corruption is not kept in check from my experience. Is a tricky balance.

    Imho teach other players how to win. Crushing people new to a game is a weird flex.

      Sometimes, things are said for shits and giggles in videos. But also, nobody goes easy on anyone in our friend group.
