Thank you I really found you video very helpful, I tried today to assemble my machine but ran into some difficulty similar to yours i.e. extra screws and bolts and my manual was not as straight forward as yours appeared to be. After watching this video you made I'm more hopefull of completion of my machine, it would be nice to see a video about having to reset your spinal as I had same issues as you please keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing more from you.
I fail to see how the X axis spinle (10:27) in the video fits tightly to the motor carriage. I did exactly as you said but nothing is tight, the brass piece with spring always comes out. should there not be a similar fixing on the other side of the body?
@@ezContents I had bought the device from a guy who had assembled the 3018 (badly) and given up. In the box was a tube that is not listed, that was threaded on the inside. This was a tube had somehow fallen out of the body in transport. I pressed it in the body and now all is tight

Thank you for your comment. I am glad that the video helped you a bit.
Great videos! I look forward to more and hope your channel grows rapidly.
Thanks. I hope so too!
Thank you
Hi. Hoping for a speedy response :( when I attach the metal base plate is it supposed to move? Mine does not.

Hmm.. Strange. I did not have that problem in that part. There is no thread on that part?

Future project idea - snapshot C64 ram onto a arduino nano (i2c external eeprom). Giving load/save snapshots :)
That sounds interesting. I will add it to my future projects list :-)
Please show software part as well
One of these days. 🙂
