BTW there’s a smaller bat colony a bit north, on IH-35 at McNeil Road in Round Rock. You often see a few ppl sitting on a nearby lawn waiting to see them come out. Easy to find - you can smell the guano a few blocks away!

Brett, next time you go somewhere to film you need to do a road trip. That way you can stop at roadside attractions and eat at mom & pop diners along the way and FILM IT! I did a year on the carnival circuit and it really did change my perspective on small town American life, since it was mostly small towns that we played. You could still do regular episodes, but do them from motel rooms and public areas.

Three places in Texas I recomend visiting are Fort Worth, Waco and Glen Rose. Also you got to check out at least one of the Rural areas in East Texas, I recommend checking out Lake Fork. Lake Fork happens to be the bass fishing capital, there are also some really nice and neat resteraunts in the towns surrounding Lake Fork. Some resteraunts around Lake Fork include Verona Italian Cafe, and Don's Restaurant. Now if you do come back to Texas, two resteraunt you have to eat at is Hard Eight BBQ and Prairie House. They have amazing food.

I went to place in Austin called Travis Heights. It's a really odd little neighborhood in South Congress. it's surrounded by a river and highway so it's sort of isolated and it seems like you can only enter it from one side. It's a hippy neighborhood. No not hipsters, hippies. Like everyone's lawn is overgrown and covered in mosaic and metal art. It's a neat little area to stroll around in and I don't think anyone even knows it exists. No restaurants or anything, just houses that make you feel like you're somewhere in Northern California in a hippie commune. Worth a trip just to stroll around for an afternoon.

It's a really odd little neighborhood in South Congress. it's surrounded by a river and highway so it's sort of isolated and it seems like you can only enter it from one side. It's a hippy neighborhood. No not hipsters, hippies. Like everyone's lawn is overgrown and covered in mosaic and metal art. It's a neat little area to stroll around in and I don't think anyone even knows it exists. No restaurants or anything, just houses that make you feel like you're somewhere in Northern California in a hippie commune. Worth a trip just to stroll around for an afternoon.
