The way they intruduced the sea into spaces through mirrors or reflective surfaces is just so nice. The architect actually thought about it and didn´t just clump expensive materials and furniture because yes. Those are the small details that show actual interest in the design.

Blue Heron really is on a different level with their projects. The open design, excessive water features, the multitude of colors, patterns and materials stands them out from other designers. I personally like the use of wood panelling and darker tones here, while most contemporary/modern designs are more fixed on glossy bright ones. Having so many wall-installed art pieces in there is also a big plus, many other homes simply leave most walls empty.
I love Blue Heron designs. I think they are among the best at how they utilize the spaces. This particular home is probably in my top 5 favorites of all your mansion showings, Enes and Mikey!! And as usual...great video!

Putting aside the ocean view for a moment, this is the most interesting house I have seen on this channel so far. The designers have done outstanding work with beautiful textures and materials. Also, not one level or section of this house was left behind during the design process. Very dedicated designers.
The staging, also, was spot on.
I lived in SD for 3.5 years and it was incredible. This is bordering Pacific Beach where I’d spend tons of time. Truly an incredible gem of a property amazing location

The materials used in the structure of the house contribute to a lively appearance that is in harmony with the environment. The use of such a seating area by closing the curtains has provided a much warmer environment than the indoor cinemas that are usually built.
It is very nice to use a bridge at the entrance to the house and create a sitting area under the bridge and the water to pour in the form of a waterfall and come under you. In addition, it is a nice detail that the sun will not cause much discomfort during the hot hours of the day, even if the top is open, since it is an area facing the east and opposite the south façade.
If there was only one word to say about home, I would choose the word "View". It does not compromise the ocean view and at the same time presents a vivid image from the housing design to the furniture selections.
It is possible to say that it is a house with much more detail than it seems. Even the sunrise and sunset directions seem to be taken into account in the natural light intake of the house. The ocean front of the house faces southwest and the light intake design has been made in harmony with this. Sun loungers and elevating decking facing south. This itself is a proof of the density of details. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.
In a nutshell, it has become a house that offers ocean life with a vibrant environment for a person who likes to be in touch with the ocean. Beautiful house. In addition, I do not know if it is due to its design, but it has a feeling of nest warmth.
It's just a house dude. Nothing more nothing less. This will get flipped multiple times over as investment and most likely won't have anyone living there long term.

Of course, it is not possible for me to know what the future of the house will be, but even if we look at the house as an investment, design is an important factor. After all, for a customer to buy this house, he must approve it with a feeling of spiritual and mental satisfaction, and therefore, the reflection of the designer's mastery on the design of the house is important as it will increase the added value of the house.
I also try to evaluate the time I spend as a consumer of content on the channel and broaden my perspective while enjoying the works of designers. In other words, these houses can be an investment for some, the work of their lives for some, and a book they enjoy looking at for others.
Really, "Nothing more nothing less." they are houses. But the fact that they are loaded with meanings, even as just a house, does not change. Even if Enes Yılmazer and his team are not aware of it, they have become an important wave of an active butterfly effect, which is enjoyed by architecture around the world, and it is pleasant to glide among these waves of architecture.
You can't buy every piece of art in a museum, but you can be inspired by every piece. this is my point of view :)

Blue Heron designs and builds homes, though modern which can be cold, sterile, are warm and inviting. You can picture living in their homes and with the outside spaces being more important to me than the indoor spaces, I find Blue Heron’s outside designs very appealing. Thanks for showing this amazing home.
What a breathtaking, spectacular home. All the details that help capture the coastal environment and make it part of the architecture is so well designed. Of course, leave it to Enes to add that stamp of approval thru his house tour making this home so unique.
As a geologist I look at the unconsolidated material the house sits on and wonder when part of the house will land on the beach. Also...a mirror as a backsplash to the cook top? Good luck keeping that thing clean.

The views are simply amazing. I would love to wake up right next to the ocean. I have always loved the water and the ceilings aren't ridiculously tall and it doesn't have a bunch of unnecessary space.

Enes, I'm also familiar with the greater San Diego area and La Jolla has always been one of my favorite communities. I truly don't believe you could have built this beautiful house in a more picturesque location. What a breathtaking view of the ocean! Admittedly, I've never been much of a champion of modern house architecture, but this Blue Heron property really does capture my imagination, just like the one Mikey was referring to in LV area last year. I also agree on how appealing the ashwood cladding is, both inside and out. Just magnificent!

I lived in a waterfront home once and as spectacular as the daytime view is, the night view is total darkness….no lights unless it was the moon. Moved to downtown San Diego high rise and the view never ends…it’s even better at night. Gorgeous house here…
The reason there's not many modern homes on the cliffs (ie like RIGHT on them) is because the erosion rate of those cliffs is around 7inches to a foot per year last I read with higher erosion rates, I think, in wetter years. This is a common theme in SoCal/cliffs for a number of reasons (not just one) and the erosion has been happening pretty steadily. Buying homes right on the cliffs is a poor investment in a lot of places in CA especially when you're on such a small lot like this one without much of a buffer zone between you and the edge of the cliffs. Obviously, when you buy a cliff home, you understand that your property is washing away but you're there for the fun of it.
They also say that the tide is rising in Pismo Beach at some crazy rate too. Just out of curiosity I searched for and found an aerial photograph from the 1930s of the exact same pier that is there now and the tide level looks exactly the same. Sure, erosion will eventually take all these coastal homes, but this one is a good 20 feet back at least and will probably be good for quite some time. You'll know it is a real problem when the banks won't lend money on it.

Blue Heron really makes some cool designs! I still vividly remember the Las Vegas house and it's still one of my favorites on the channel. This house is amazing although I don't know how I feel about being so close to a huge drop off like that. Then again I have kids so I'm probably overly paranoid. Blue Heron really knows how to mix up colors and textures and depth. The pebble gardens under the sinks is a perfect example. The indoor outdoor flow and mixing of environments is just amazingly well done.

I was just about to write that on a general basis I'm impressed with California and the "views" but not the architectural designs of the homes regardless of how expensive the homes are. Well, This home is the most impressive design I've seen Enes cover in California. I wish I could afford it! This home makes the top 3 in no particular order of the homes Enes covered. The other 2 homes were both homes covered in Las Vegas which were also stunning!!!

The exterior of the house is just gorgeous. Love the mixture of white and wooden walls. The office setting is perfect and the master bedroom is great too. The way the house utilizes the view as its main focal point is amazing. Nothing to unsatisfy. Full marks to the designer.

I absolutely love this entire house with only a few exceptions. I would alter both first and second floor cabinetry so they didn’t look like the early 1970’s! I’m not a fan at all and can deal with it if I had to but would immediately change the cabinets if I were to ever live there! The rest of the house is fantastic! I love it! 😁❤️

I design swimming pools all over the area of this house and landscapes so I am in many of the homes here. I recall that cabinetry with the milky looking wash of stain. I have seen some ceilings like that too.

Beautiful home. The only thing I would add is probably some sort of glass barrier at the edge of the backyard for safety reasons. The edge of the cliff is only a few feet from the seating area.

Anyone buying a house like this on a cliff is probably a Bond villain… and would consider the easy, ocean-side disposal of enemies next to their laser equipped shark pool a feature.
One thing i really like about this property, is how dynamic it is. Expensive modern homes tend to have many big open spaces. This property is unique with its architectural shapes, making, each section feel more personal, yet still modern, luxurious and a statement in itself.
Totally stunning. The art is beautiful, particularly the ceramics. I would be very happy there!

This house is spectacular and breathtaking. I love everything about this property. I only wish the property was a few metres away from the ocean 🌊 so when the high tide comes from the ocean I won’t be super concerned. This crib is a 10/10 👌🏾😍
