we always have a little patchwerk dmg competition, of course im gonna show the time i win. 1256 dps with about 1100 sustained before execute. stay tuned for better.

Vike I obviously missed this raid because I've never seen anyone beat Polzie's dps but damn, that was sick. My measly arms build always hovered around 900-950 dps on this fight. :(

And why doesn't he overaggro when he has like 130% of tank threat?

What's your addon for the Overpower alert? Most don't show the alert when u'r in Berserk Stance.
thats the stone u could buy with the necrotic runes before the opening of naxxramas from the the argent dawn vendor.
And there still were some people at the beginning of Wotlk who couldn't do even 1200 dps.

i didnt play 60 classic Nax but with Lichking 2008-2009 . i Played from 2005-2009 but we werent that good our best was Twin Emperors . I quit before Icecrown Citadel. Best time was 60 when doing BWL/ MC

patchwerk threat works differently to other encounters the first person he targets gets like 100k threat immediately (which is not tracked by omen) and then he decided his hateful strikes based on the highest hp players in range -- it was possible to pull actual aggro (as shown in a yt video of a fire mage with some big ignites) but very very difficult/rare

Warlocks were that good in vanilla?
threat and debuffslots held them in place.. but you could always reset your threat by dieing and then resucrrect via soulstone =)

Why all mages are Frost in Naxx ? WTF you need to be fire in Naxx noobs !
We did one try out on patchwerk with frost just to get a fair picture between fire and frost because of the overaggroing ignite could cause. Quite random that Vike pretty much made a record DPS attempt on that one try. This was on feenix obviously, so it was not exactly 100% blizzlike. Most bosses had way higher armor than what they should have, so it was not nearly as melee dominated as it is on later private servers such as nostalrius/lights hope for example.

Warlocks do great dps.
The spec is DS/ruin.
You sac the succ for 15% more shadow dmg and ruin for 100% increased crit dmg on destruction spells (Shadowbolt)
Then they have a shadow priest for 10% more shadow dmg on top of all that.
The specc is not Ds/ruin Polzielol was Sm/ruin in this fight (Sm/ruin will out Dps a DS/ruin) if played correctly and dots timed well
there is no sunders on the boss for the entire duration of the fight or am i blind?
+drscFail bosses back then had a debuff limit. tho i dont know about private servers.
+Asbjørn Naxx had 16 debuffs and there's always gonna be sunders, maybe his addon doesn't show it.

ForeveraloneBC im not saying i did everything perfect in this video... but when comparing dps consider the length of the fights and the coding of the servers. a 1-2 minute ebonroc fight versus a 5-6 minute patchwerk fight will yield different dps results. its hard to compare dps between servers at different eras and even with vanilla at the time because of the nuances of coding involved. i know for a long time wf didnt work with heroic strike on this server so its hard to argue it's a perfect sample.
overpower is instant, HS is not
as far as i remember back then i kept heroic strike active so basically almost every MH melee swing was an HS, and (i think)I used OP when i could because it was instant and i had rage to dump. Cant remember if it was on the gcd. my memory isnt that good. i didnt reach 1250dps tho, i wasnt in naxx yet and my gear wasnt as good. i remember pulling about 1000, but again, it was a long time ago

Not ondt possible but this would be low end warrior dos when we get to naxx. Ppl are doing more then this in molten core because we dont suck and use Saunders, correct gear and dont use fucking bloodthirst in the execute window. He also didn't pool or line up cd's correctly. This dude is a pleb

Why are mages frostbolting? Isn't fire best dps with after MC and BWL? Rolling ignites all day.
Duckard im not exactly sure how ignite worked on retail... but on feenix once a mage got ignite up they kept it as long as any other mage crit. so what would happen is wed have 1 mage with a ton of dmg and aggro and it was a problem for a bit. i think this was during a period where they all just went frost so it was a non-issue. we had a bunch of loatheb kills where one mage would get ignite and pull aggro within a few seconds of the spore and die on purpose.. he still got the dmg and aggro from the ignite even though he was dead and would do like half the raids damage.

God how the heck can he be so good on dps especially on such a long fight. You go oom in 30 freakn seconds and lifetap seems to barely help and only when you're getting good amount of heals.
often times when you have a good player in raid (like that warlock), healers will prioritize them because they are worth it
Actually it only takes like a HoT effect or two running on a warlock to let them spam lifetap. You just need the healers to know what's up.
