Oxyacetylene Cutting Torch Setup

This video shows you how to prepare the Oxyacetylene torch for cutting with one of the cutting assemblies. You should watch the first set up and breakdown video for more complete information on this equipment.
This process is only used for cutting thick mild steel. It will not work on other metals, as it uses a chemical reaction to burn through the steel. if you are cutting thinner material (thinner than 1/4") you will likely have better and safer results using the plasma cutter.
This process throws a very large amount of molten slag and red hot metal off of your part. it is extremely important you are wearing appropriate footwear (leather boots) and long cotton or approved leather pants. Always keep the torch aimed away from the tanks and keep the gas hoses away from the heat and sparks.
Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the shop technician immediately, Never use equipment if you have not been cleared to use, and always ask questions rather than risk serious personal injury, death, &/or damage to the equipment.
