One thing I never expected when I went on supervised release was how much I genuinely cared about my PO. He was a solid man that never talked down to me, was the first person up to bat for me, straight shooter. He was always willing to sit down and talk to me and reassure and encourage me. Helped me so much. When he retired I literally cried. I still send him Christmas Cards. His replacement arrested me and tried to send me back over some petty stuff. Total opposite, so I have had both. My newest one seems OK.

Sometimes People think its hard to quit from weed and alcohol 4 years agoo I get a dwi and before the dwi I was a weed smoker daily from the day I get out from Jail y quit definitely and I Did 9 months on bond and 2 years on probation and never smoke or drink again thanks to the probation I quit from waste of money today 1 year after I succesfully get my probation DONE I'm fannally got a great job and I just bought my first house thanks to the texas supervision and corrections department... NEVER THINK A BLUNT THAT ITS GOING TO BE ASHES OR A BEER ITS STRONGER THAN YOU

When i met my probation officer i followed her home. When we made the next appointments to meet her i showed up at her home that morning. There was some issues with the police being called from that but she never asked me for a drug test after that incident.

What can you do to if you want to have paid a probation for a family member cause you are so tried of the person doesn’t do the right thing while staying with you until thief court date. If you don’t have the money to pay the fees up front or can you a payment plan to pay the extra fees

Whay usually happens when you refuse a drug test due to being hospitalized nd given different types of drugs ? I had to educate myself on what the drugs were nd how long they stay in my system

I just failed an at home alcohol breath test. I been on felony dwi probation for 6 months. Am I definitely getting my probation revoked? Or could my p.o give me a warning?
You could get a warning. If it's your first time, they usually don't revoke

@Chance Sinroll actually I told them I lost my hand held machine.. so I didn't send it to get recalibrated..
The recalibration is what would have notified them that I failed..
My machine takes automatic pictures but doesn't send the alcohol calibration..

My probation in weakley county Tennessee is so bad I was told the first day that I was going to be locked up for failure to make a payment I didn't understand because I was in the process of getting disability an have medical complications from the wreck but even telling them this made her mad and aggressive bye the way of being told she don't care an doesn't make exception for no one an I had untill 4 pm to produce the money or get the vop .so I had to scramble around an find the money which doing so put me in debt with others when you're struggling already isn't right to do to people disabled I'm lost in what I should do

You can use ANY drug as long as you have a doctor's prescription, even for weed. If a doctor prescribes medical Marijuana that is medically necessary and you paid the state for a card. They cannot stop you from using nor revoke it. It is NOT a reward/privilege system for the courts to manipulate.
Thank you for sharing that. Because they said I had to be medically compliant, I took prescribed medication I didn’t want to, because of the side effects. I just wanted to add that all you have to do, on probation, is attend your medical, any psychiatric or counseling appointments you have, and any treatment required by your terms of probation. Everyone has a right to refuse medication, unless they are committed to a hospital because a court has determined that they are a danger to themselves or others. I could have just told my doctor I didn’t want to take a medication, if I didn’t think the side effects made it more beneficial than harmful, for me. No one can lock you up for that! I was required to meet with a mental health professional, because I have a condition that was underlying my substance use disorder, which led to the subsistence crime I was charged with, so it wasn’t even that type of situation. If anything, I wish I had been assigned a probation officer, sooner. By the time I was, I told him my treatment program didn’t work, and if he needed a UA right away, it would be positive. He told me they expect that, and they don’t usually see someone who has already self-referred to treatment before they are even assigned a PO. He said the first UA is to establish a baseline, so they know, later on, if your treatment is working. Yes, the papers they give you say they can put you in jail for a probation violation, for failing a UA, but they usually only do that if someone is avoiding appointments, and not communicating about their barriers to meeting their probation requirements. I knew a girl who had, like, 40-some charges, before she ever set foot in a courtroom so, yeah, when they found her, they held her to make sure she showed up. I really believed that my probation officer would be trying to trip me up, so he could put me in jail. Unless you’re not taking your probation seriously, or continue living somewhere where people are in and out of the spot with illegal substances and activities, 24/7, you don’t have to worry all the time. Just putting that out there, so people do put themselves through what I did. Some people do get a bad rap, but in most cases, you will know what you have to do and your PO really hopes you succeed, like she said.
Not sure why or how but I managed to be hit and miss for TCH the whole 5 years. I failed so many times I should have went to jail but they just kept on testing and that was it.

I had probation for getting hit by a car 🚙 that driver took off. And no one cares about it. I was put on probation officer was a guy, and my ex boyfriend who DV YOU and his other clients and 1 saw my injuries and he called his po who was mine and told him I was ASSULTED by ex boyfriend who is black man and he lied to DOC IS TRUE NAME AND I SAW HIS BROTHER IN 2011 AT THE BUS STOP 🛑 AND HE WAS MAD AT HIS BROTHER FOR LYING 🤥 I HOPE HE GOT HIS BROTHER IN TROUBLE FOR IT.
I only bought alcohol for my father while on probation I'm in a small town and I'm afraid a county cop that might know me might have seen me. I'm not drinking it. I'm worried that was a violation. Can you help?

I’m glad I did, too. I had been court ordered to a treatment program before, and it didn’t work. I told my probation officer I ran into a girl from the streets, who was sober and working a full time job, who recommended a certain program. He actually said he was encouraged that I was being active in my recovery, and allowed me to attend the same program she did. I haven’t been back to jail, and that was 8 years ago. I’m so glad he listened!
Probation has been keeping me inline. 2 years no violations been going to AA caught up on my payments... until 2 weeks ago I failedfor THC. She told me she didn't know the options of what she would do yet that day. She's new to felony caseload. I'm kind of worried because I don't want to be sent to some treatment center I just had a stressful day and headed co-workers vape pen a few times a couple of days before. 😑. She called me in for a random at the right time though 🤦
@greggonzales8 if that's your first positive drug test, you won't get sent to a treatment facility. How much longer do you have?
@@YourFavoritePO 8 years left. I hit a low point in my life in 2021 and caught my 3rd and 4th dwi. Started probation completing a 8 month safp program. Came a long way. Bout to finally get my license back in a couple weeks too. 😌
Just be ready for that treatment center... it's not that terrible.

I got to test before my 2 days of community service and have been stressing about legally being on suboxone. Almost been wanting to go through the hell of withdrawl before go see him.

I had a p.o tell me that she didn't care if my employer fired me I need to find a way to get to the office for a checkin. I was confused as I have to have a job otherwise I will be in violation of my terms, I got out of work but due to that instance and a few other similar my hours were cut which caused another issue with being able to pay my probation fees and be able to pay my own bills... she also told me multiple times that it was her intention to inconvenience me.
😩 stuff like that shouldn't happen. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope she isn't treating others like that as well

my Parole officer (in the new county) after a few months told me i wasNOTHING like i was portrayed in my file, ..
She told me she was not looking forward to having me on her case... But after knowing me she said i was a very plesant , kind honest woman.. i never lie... Every cop in lebanon who knew me KNOWS i dont lie steal or cheat.. but lebanon PNP said i lie and am kniving .. i was some horrible criminal that had a long history of criminal behavior and i am known to associate with drug addicts and like criminals..

@aprilegunn6818 typically, now he will wait to see the judge. Once that happens, bail could be set, and he may be released. It really depends on why he's on supervision and what violations are being alleged.

Am back on probation for 1st time in 20 years, I used to hate it an always breach it , but this time I have a good officer , she’s nice an she fancies me I can tell , I even tell her am off to buy half ounce of weed, she just said I don’t condone it but it’s better than drinking, I was lucky not to go to prison, I packed my bags, I threatened a illegal immigrant hotel saying I was going to throw a grenade into a hotel by txt malicious communication , day after the riots in England I got sentenced

Ummm. Your good love your advice buttttt. In fort bend county you bette not be upfront. They penilize you for every little thing. If you ask for help with your drug usage they will FIRST! send you to jail and put you in a worse position to lose your job spend more money for classes that just waist your time and stress you out. What's crazy is I had a few different pos that will actually tell you this, they will tell you they know the class don't work they know it makes your life much more harder and stressful tempting you to use whatever it is you was using. And they don't care as long as they are bringing the county more money. I've seen/heard judges, CO's,and po officers brag that fort bend county is the richest county in TX

No street drugs or alcohol abuse are the worst causes problems for you. Don't due crimes against you or the people who have rights under the circumstances of forced people to be a part of the problem with a disabled people who are on probation for a felony for arson back in st.paul ramsey Co and your new order puts you in a halfway home. Treatment for the rapes years beforehand is a very nasty thing to say about a good relationship with your probation officer 👮 by being truthfully in a place where you have a good reputation for your own personal care is a great idea to be successful in making up stories is not good.

Sometimes yes, if you've given them an address and they are considering placing the person on supervision

I wouldn’t take everything you say so seriously, most females are emotional and so are female probation officers. I once caught my PO speaking from feelings rather than facts and I asked a next question and she realized what she had done. Yes you speak valid points but a PO isn’t my girlfriend or my family she’s a police officer and police are not to be trusted.
My Son has been jailed for drugs after being put on probation. He has been in and out of rehabs for about the last 7 years. He is currently on a PO hold and was told that he would be there until a bed is available which would be in a few weeks. My Son is still waiting as he is on medication in jail and has mental problems.
Whenever I call to speak to the Probation Officer he is very short with me, I asked him when a bed would be available for my Son, his answer was "He already has a bed" very cold answer. My question is,

How’s it work when they test your thc level??
They send the urine to the lab. The results will show the level of THC in the sample. The next time they test it, it has to be going down by a certain percentage to show no further drug use

That's a great thing you are doing encouraging him to get help. Is he ready to receive help? If so, he could start by speaking with a certified drug counselor (not through the parole agency) to see treatment options.
@@YourFavoritePO no he’s not ready I don’t think he thinks he needs help I’m not sure how he has been able to get through parole clean because I do know he’s been using I feel like him being I’m probation has helped him hold the bag and a lot of things I just worried and want to help him to be able to get help
My son has mental health issues. I have reached out to his boss . He disregarded is mental health doctor orders. Who do you report too in GA. He can't get a job to provide for his kids. I have to pay and I can't pay copay to try and keep my son out of jail. He had failed my son and my son had been committed 4 times in the first 7 months for a traffic violation that they had to drop charges but added another in the place of it. 😢This is insane . WHAT DO I DO?

If forcing people to act on certain behavior that others seem appropriate or face being put in a cage like an animal for a time they deem fit is helping than you sure have a morbid view on the meaning of helping.
Do not openly tell your probation officer you drink or smoke, that very dumb. They get paid for you being there buddy. Talk to a doctor or anything else, don't take yo azz to that office thinking you bout to get "HELP" .

Yes she can if you are still on probation. You are subject to drug testing until the discharge date of probation

So my husband was on probation in Kaufman then covid hit and we had to move 200 miles away so he stopped going and was ok with going to prison and just getting it over. Then there was a domestic violence incident and he was arrested and given probation for that charge and went to prison for a little over a year. He’s now set to be released on parole only to find out he has somehow violated the probation even though they knew he was in prison the whole time . Is this normal? Doesn’t seem legal at all to me . He’s was granted parole and now they say he’s got to go back to jail ?
@christinabaker6404 Yes, I've seen this situation happen a few times. It's likely that he will go to court to see the probation judge, and he may be given time served, or the probation could be resumed, and he could be on both parole and probation.
I’m on probation for a non violent crime and they drug test me which I’ve failed 3 times and I’m good I believe drug tests are stupid for non drug related or non violent crimes

Why can't probationers drink in their own homes once in a while when alcohol is legal? I am talking about people that rarely drink and they had no crimes involving alcohol. I just always wondered this. I know people do stupid things when drunk and probably the reason they are not allowed to be in establishments where alcohol is their main source of income. It's probably a stupid question lol but thought I would ask anyway
They don't speak up against corrupt POs because they know it's their word against the PO and who will be believed. It won't be them.
We have to change that. That's why I always recommend ppl to document EVERYTHING.
I had 2 full time jobs and a super nice place to live . but the new county I moved to refused to take my case like many others due to them not wanting out side cases that they are only supervising there is no$ in it for them. SOO I was forced to quit both my jobs and leave my place to live to go back to the county 1 mile from Mexico border and that it is ok if im homeless here because they can supervise me homeless here but they cant supervise me where I was doing great . i was originally placed on probation where I have nothing no fam no friends no vehicle. I am now homeless and jobless trying to get the terms of my probation modified ....
This is absolute craziness! Does the judge know of your status? I can't see how a judge who is fair would allow this to happen

I live in Texas and I have my first office visit with my new probation officer after being revoked and amended, but my question is would it be weird to bring my new officer a small plant?? Lol.. Or will they even let me bring it inside...

Thank you!! Today is the day, I'm excited to meet her lol 🤓 I always have a positive experience on probation. It might be an age thing, because when I was 18 my experience was completely different than it is now that I'm 33. But back then I did not want to quit getting high lol.
It just depends how you look at it - if you think of your officer as an authority figure who's job is to punish you, then you're probably not going to be successful. But if you look at it like they're just a normal human being who's at work and just doing their job, it's easier to relate to them. If you're struggling to get clean for drug tests month to month, finding excuses for not paying fees and not doing CSR hours, then you're walking in there with a guilty conscious and it's gonna be hard for you to build trust, which is important. It makes their job easier, and it makes for a positive experience for the probationer.
You can also look at probation as a gift - especially if you were facing years in prison as the alternative. Or if you're deferred probation gets you the opportunity to clear your record after completion. You have to put in the work to receive the prize at the end. 🎁 💝
I’ve been on probation for like 6 months and failed my first ever test and all I got was a make sure it doesn’t happen again and it didn’t and no I’m off in a week or two

I am so glad I found your channel. My son's father is on Intensive Supervised Probation and has been pissing dirty for meth and alcohol for a month and his probation officer has not given him any violations and each meeting is just a "here's some resources, make better choices." And he goes straight back to using meth that night. She is aware of this and does nothing. What should I do? He's dwindling away before my eyes .....
It's highly likely that he will soon face court action soon. Meth is a hard drug to beat if the person isn't ready to change. He may need some tough love from you. Unfortunately, P.O.s can't force a person to get treatment, but the judge can.

However, if a person is on an intensive probation and continually getting to keep using a dangerous drug like meth with zero consequence, what is the point of probation? She has the power to say, check in to a detox or there will be a warrant for your arrest. He's been on this probation for 10 months and stayed sober for 3 months out of those 10. And that was because he was in a sober house facility. Something seems very off to me. As an outsider, it looks like probation is really nothing to answer to. Not meaning to sound harsh.
Wow do they send a person to watch you pee , I need to know , why they so hard on someone I care about . Because when does it take 2 people to watch you go to the restroom no I hate halifax nc sorry I have my reasons it's a crime oh well.

I went to jail back in April of 2023 and was out on probation and it Changed my life! I have Stayed Clean, I attend a Drug program ,Do my part to stay Clean so My P.O. Shows the same Gratitude and respect as an adult living in an imperfect Society to Pay attention but not intrude on my life Because She\He sees positive Change!I promise all P.O.are not Bad people! They have a job to do,so do your part and this can be a positive experience!😊

Hi I’m so glad I found your videos but I a question. I was on pretrial release and did everything I was supposed to do no problem I have now been sentenced to no time but 3 years probation. I have a full time job I am clean of thc and stay out of trouble I have a fiancé and 2 step children in Mexico that I have not seen for 5 months and it has been very hard I want to ask for permission to go see them for my youngest birthday since I missed a birthday and our first Christmas together but I am nervous. I had no prior criminal history this is my first offense but it was a level 2 felony. I just really miss my family and this has been hard for all of us. Also my probation is in San Diego, California

What if your PO won't ever answer your calls and actually get you set up? I've been trying for over a month, and they don't return calls OR emails! I've sent SO MANY and dropped by the office way out of the way and he never wants to just get the shit done!
Take the proof you have, (call logs, emails) and send it to the supervisor or the person above the supervisor. And be sure to call the main number for the probation office, and make sure the officer is still employed there, or if the contact information has changed for them.

I’m pretty confused. I took supervision in Illinois, they told me I just needed to take the classes. But then they said I needed to transfer to texas. Texas seems like a strain on my life that i don’t deserve. The court said I could report from the phone but I’m not sure if social services will allow. I don’t know what to do.

I reside in Texas. Houston to be exact but the case is from Illinois. Texas is stating that there is no supervision and that I’ll be subject to random urine test, can’t leave out of state(I travel for a living) and whatever the probation officer says. My sheet doesn’t say probation well then why is texas saying that? How do I set up a consult?

I have complied , never violated or gotten in trouble,
My probation officer decided to keep me on probation, how ever my PO said there is another reveiw that happeneds my 2/3 way through reveiw in November .
He also said I can file a motion with the judge and see an outcome. What usually happenededs when you ask the judge to be off probation early at your half way mark?
one question,if you get out of jail once you finish your sentence time but you are on probation after being released ,what can you do if you want to go live in another country ? can the court let you go or do you have to complete your probation time before moving out of the country?

I can't urinate and have to do blood test. Then they do a dna test and I didn't know I had any of this shit. Not that my dna is on anything but that's frustrating after 6 months of doing fine they keep doing things stressing me out. With an anxiety disorder it's destroying me and plus it's a petty amount of a mushroom. SMH. I know someone that had a great probation officer and no violations for over a year while under her supervision, she went on maternity leave and got a new one that had only been doing this job for only a month, this one violated this person 4 times within a month, she kept threaening him with going back to prison, which he replied he has never been in prison, she called him stupid because he could not remember his psychiatrist and therepy couselors name, he was in a life threatening motorcycle accident and has a tramatic brain injury, which she said he was lying about. I have nver heard anything like this, it is an SIS not sure how to report this person, I understand they have a job to do, but this treatment seems uncalled for.
your thoughts. they are very scared and anxiety is at its highest which already has this according to his therapist and psychiatrist, this does not help. for over a year with the other probation officer, no problems what so ever, now its miserable with this new one for this person.
u have to understand people most POs are trying to help you, they will give u so many chances but if you waist their time then its on u. Grow. Also ur PO is not your gf so stop trying to get her or him on a date. Let em know and be honest. Ok I blew hot with the high risk unit. They are trying to help u not put u in jail. accept it and let em know. they more like counselors

@@YourFavoritePO I was supposed to be on it for a year I was placed on it in 2022 I paid my restitution i remained employed never tested positive for substances. In terms of my probation I am supposed to complete class in group therapy but the therapist has everyone doing a book of eight chapters and everyone has to complete the chapters in order to be done with the class and the class takes longer then 1 year to complete which is out my control because I see him 2 time a month every two weeks. My PO likes to write a violation report before my expiration date just to keep me on it but the DA dismissed the violation and they just continue for another 12 months just so I can complete the class. This year my probation has expired July the 8th but he wrote another violation report because of the class so now I have a hearing Sept 11. That why I say I regret it because these people like juggle and play with your life and freedom. No matter if you are doing the right thing in the terms of your probation they still find a way to lock you up or keep you on restraint

Hey im on parole probation and i kinda messed up and took some stuff that can fail me and i called this morning and it said "i am required to test today" and i took the pill that can fail me yesterday. And im done doing this stuff i dont wanna get locked up so you think i can talk to my bond supervision officer and be upfront and just tell her i wont do it again and i just be around the wrong crowd and that im done doing that. I tried calling her this morning after i found out i have to test but she doesnt work till tmr so when i take my drug test today and i call tmr and be honest with her. You think its possible i can get another chance. I took my first test like a month ago and it came out negative but thats because i smoked before but if i fail this drug test will it be considered as my first fail? Yes, be honest and upfront. Tell the bond officer what you will do going forward to avoid this happening again. Have an actual plan that is specific. Like, "I blocked all the friends in my phone who I used to get pills from"

If you get off probation, how long does it usually take to get a letter from the court?
Sometimes they won't send anything, but you can request it from the court. Should be ready within 2 weeks after the discharge date

My probation forced me to meet at his office with private investigators from some company, and they forced him to be present during interview. Knowing that it was violation of my rights I refused to talk to them and left. My question is - why did probation officer organize it without letting me know to bring a attorney or just to be ready? Should I report it to someone authority. Was ok that he forced me to miss one day of work ( no possibility of rescheduling because the schedule of private investigators)? Should I do something?
It's a condition of probation to report to your P.O. as directed. So technically that isn't an issue. But the whole situation sounds kinda messed up. I understand how u feel

My point was - why you force me to miss day of work (Wednesday) if every Monday I am off. I missed a check in appointment 12/5/23 and it was rescheduled for 12/20/23 with a CSO Assistant instead of my PO.

I had a job interview at the time of my appointment I missed on 12/5/23 and I did get the job but I don't wanna go to jail for getting a job. In my case I was in hospital for a pinch nerve in my lower back area . I couldn't even get up or walk..I was put on bed rest for the day with medication. I get a call from my PO telling me that I need to come in and piss test. I told her that I couldn't get up I just got out of hospital and the doctor put me on bed rest.. she said i was refusing to come in to drug test...she state that I was in violation of probation.. so the next day she shows up at my residents from what i was told by my neighbor they were trying to break in my house while i was knock out on pain pills.. my po and they officers were here for more then 60 minutes .. after 60 minutes they had to leave the resident if they don't have a probable cause or they suspect somebody's inside the house . But if they don't that's called illegal search and seizure and harassment..

My prob officer5 yrs ago got mad because I never had a dirty Ua, she accused me of flushing which I DID not! One day she smirked and said yep I knew I'd catch you. Dirty.. I was not and I knew I wasn't! So would drive straight to a private prob and pay 50 bucks for a 12 pannel supervised Ua which was clean...
Then (I have never ever used a needle ) she told her supervisor in front of me "yah this girl here was a mess I got her straighten out I think, well her arms finally clean... " What!!! No way .. she had did Nothing to help me she was trying to send e to prison which 1 months before I was off probation I was arrested for directive (not paying the Monthly fee but ... That was waved ! I'm disabled ! I was so sick of it she tried to make m do treatment but I chose to take my sentence.. after she drug a 2.5 yr probation into 5 and starting over one month away from release no way I took my sentence went to prison moved and got an amazing PO who made all the difference..

It is a. Revolving door. For. Many. I done 16 years straight. Got. Put back twice. All. Because of. Crap. And I told them so. Here in Louisiana. But the two. That kept messing with me. Finally told me when the judge let me off. Who was always. Calling on me. After the. Fact. They finally. Realized I was. Towing the line
