    Great video man! I’ve been making Unity games for about three years now and will be making the leap into VR VX for the Apple Vision Pro soon!

      Thanks a lot for watching and that’s honestly a great move, XR is without doubt the future and more and more companies will need that type of skill!

    Hello Dilmer! I just recently found your channel. Your videos are great! I just recently started my AR/MR/XR dev jorney. What XR headset/glasses would you recommend to test some projects I made in Unity? I bought a Microsft Hololens2, but was unable to set it up out of the box (wasn't sure if it was a manufacturing defect) or I just coudln't use the azure autopilot profile from my home network... I was looking at the Vive XR Elite next... to test out my Unity projects. What do you think? I would love your input and recommendation for my first headset.

      Hey Joshua thanks for your comment and welcome. Honestly to start just wait until September 27 to get a Quest 3, that should give you all you need to get started and it would be the best device available for AR/VR in the market at low price point.

    Hi Dilmer, very informative video as usual! In your corresponding blog, you mentioned AR Transformer feature for touchscreen device. Can the same feature be used in Mixed Reality setting directly, for instance, constraining a spawned gameobject to my table using Quest 3 (through Meta OpenXR package)?
    Maybe it is a larger question, are all (or most) features under AR Foundation applicable in a mixed reality application? Thanks!

    Hi Dilmer, congratulations excellent explanation. Sorry for the "trivial" question, I am just getting into unity/development xr, it is very functional the scene you created, with the various objects etc, in your tutorials is it shown how to build this scene, or is there a possibility to be able to download it to try and see the various components how they are configured/function?.. thank you very much.

    Hi Dilmer, do you think we will have experiences where the hands are the controllers and pinching thumb with different fingers can bring about different things in-game??

    • @dilmerv
      @dilmerv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely and there is a variety of games using hand tracking today, with the XR Input Modality Manager now you could even have games that use both 😉
      Great question !

    Any updates on using XRI hand tracking and quest passthrough?

    • @dilmerv
      @dilmerv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It should work with AR Foundation and XRI 2.5.0, I haven’t personally tested it but I believe that will work.

    Hi, great video. I have been wondering how do you detect a pinch with hand tracking for the xritk via code? I want to implement selecting object/ui the same way pinch selection is done in the apple vision pro in conjunction with the eye tracking on quest pro but can't figure this out!! All these components and setup is way too damn complicated!!

    • @dilmerv
      @dilmerv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do that with this: docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.xr.hands@1.1/api/UnityEngine.XR.Hands.MetaAimHand.html mainly from OpenXR which exposes that functionality.

    Any option there for locomotion using Hands without using controller?

    • @dilmerv
      @dilmerv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question, it is not available as part of XRI at least not yet, another option is to build it and do something similar to what I did here: th-cam.com/video/AB49Cgr2u6E/w-d-xo.html

    Can you create a video integrating XRI with Meta Avatars please?

    • @dilmerv

    Hi Dilmar, does its work with pico neo 3?

    • @dilmerv
      @dilmerv  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it does as long as you are running with OpenXR, but I don’t have a device to test it.

  • @dre_purba

    Hello, can this new update can be implemented in full body avatar system ?...😊

    • @dilmerv
      @dilmerv  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question. Currently this provides you with hand tracking, controllers, and head pose. But there isn’t any type of avatar system integrated with XRI.

    Should I use Unity Now?

    • @dilmerv
      @dilmerv  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would but it really depends on what you are building!

    Buen video, pero que desde que decidieron cambiar las reglas de juego retroactivamente y defraudar a todos los desarrolladores que venían confiando en ese motor hace años, Unity dejó de ser una opción. Habrá que buscar alternativas como Unreal, Godot o Stride.
