I owned a 1986 Town Car and just loved that vehicle. It was truly like driving one's living room down the road. The car was roomy and quiet and on the highway it would get 30 mpgs - I could easily pull 20 or more mpgs on a tank when I gassed up and calculated the mileage. I love both this vintage Lincolns and Cadillacs though I like the Lincolns on the outside as the 80's went on and think Cadillac used better materials on the dashboard and door panels. I worked magic custom making a new dashpad, front door panels, and glove box as these were disintegrating because of cheap vinyl. I truly love your fascination and passion for these large cars. Keep up the great work and this car is STUNNING!
That cat is loveable...not bad luck. Very pretty car...and wow, the factory CD player. Yes, Sony made them for Lincoln. All cars with the CD player had the JBL stereo. Nice to see the dual exhaust too, and the automatic mirror, plus the moonroof. Wonderful.
That's why I bought a '92 Ford ranger and now I'm looking for an older car cuz these new ones are trash Would not give you a dollar bill for anything past 2002. Made to fail
Absolutely a beautiful town car. I haven't driven one since 1988 when I looked at and test drove an 86 at hertz rent a car sales. It had 110 ,000 miles and asking $15,000 at that time in 1988. I ended up buying a 1987 thunderbird for 10 grand with 10,000 miles on it . Dang , that town car rode so nice.
Bought a brand new triple white 89 in December 88. A p o s run a red light in April 91 & I t-boned him. Totalled it. I swear to God I cried like a baby. If they built 89 Town Cars today, I'd buy 2 of them! Drive 1 every day & keep the other for posterity!!😊
Just discovered this channel and have subscribed ! Making a trip like this by myself or with a friend would very literally be a dream come true. Thanks for sharing this !
Wow she’s so so so so clean! Gorgeous! I also had an ‘89, white on navy blue. She was so precious to me and I wish every day I still had her, but this cream puff beats them all! Safe travels guys!
Anthony & Papa 🐻 would like to thank Dwight and his family for giving us this great opportunity to meet and purchase such an INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL CAR. Papa 🐻 & Anthony
Papa Bear it was great to connect with you and Anthony. Awesome to see you guys work so well together and have a great relationship! Glad the TC is going to an awesome home. God Bless you guys and the entire family. Best of everything to you all. Dwight
I enjoy picking parts for my automobile needs and do it often. You made a tremendously good haul on hard to find parts for what you actually paid; you made out well. I enjoy watching you two, keep it up.
Love FAMILY 👪! Yours and the LINCOLN family. Having owned a 78 Town Coupe, 89 Signature Series, and current 2007 Signature Limited, as well as three GRAND MARQUIS, it's difficult to see what LINCOLN has become. While I am fortunate to have the 2007 (the last gasp of traditional American Luxury sedans) ,get lots of attention and thoroughly enjoy driving it, overall the 89 was the best. Formal styling, chrome trim, and 24 mpg highway! THIS 89 appears to be a Signature Series based on interior and lower body chrome molding. The TLC it has received is amazing. Looks like PAPA has his eyes set on it 👀. Clearly a fine example of LINCOLN, what a Luxury car should be (and Once was). 👍
Thank you for sharing the journey to get the Lincoln Town Car. To quote the commercials from that era: :Lincoln what a luxury car should be. I smiled watching you get the car and drive it across the country. Papa Bear was rally enjoying the ride in the front passenger seat. I smile when you went into the junk yard and saw that Oldsmobile Ninety Eight. You got your money's worth from LKQ even though they were charging a lot for parts. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful car. Love the dual exhaust. I have a beautiful MKVI Signature sedan (1981 model). Metallic red with the red velour) plus a dark blue 351 1980 MKVI sedan with moon roof. Cool cars. 👍
You guys were only about 30 miles from where I live! LOVE that car. It is truly beautiful. Hopefully you had a chance to get some good Southern cooking while you were here.
Looked like a great adventure -your best content here!!! 😉Shame to see that late 80s beige Park Ave you first opened up in there, actually looked fairly clean otherwise....
I would have loved to see a little more of the Town Car passing through some of places between Nashville and New Hampshire. But it's fun to see you bring this car home and that you had the chance to be with family. Thanks for keeping these unique cars alive!
I’m fairly sure i was the one who referred that blue TC your way after seeing a Reddit post about a week or so ago. I knew even if it wasn’t one for you it would at least start in the right place and with people who know what to do with these - hope that one found a home too in the end!
Beautiful! I love the sound of the door handles. My grandmother had one In champagne/silver with black interior. I always knew the vent window as a smoking window.
That car is an absolute crown jewel. Thank you for sharing your beautiful lifestyle and your adventure. I love your candid filming “I’m not gonna f with it” LMAO purebred New Englander
Excellent find, love this car.I had a few rides in this Great American Luxury back in 90s. I can say it was WOW at that time and it must be a WOW now. This is very clean car.
Very nice TN 89 LTC, very. I was entertained at the junk yard and the wheel barrow full of parts from the last gen LTC.....I just got a center cap on Ebay since none of my local yards have any '03-09ish LTC's. They were "ground' plentiful there, looked like! The blue TC didn't excite me only because I'm not a fan of those years and it looks like it needs a bit of help. But hope you save it and work your (and Papa Bear's) magic on it. Great find! And I see another Seville coming up for sale versus the '89 TC lol.
We may have painted that at The Manheim auction, they also did body and paint there and we had a contract with Mary Kay, because they were lease vehicles and they couldn't sell Pink. We painted those, and the 2 Dr allante I believe and a ton of suvs, Escalades 24:55 too
I ENJOYED THE DRIVE WITH PAPA BEAR AND YOU AS WELL ANTHONY AND OF COURSE WITH THE TC WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CAR YOU AQUIRED ,,, PERFECT CONDITION THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEOS YOU GUYS
Hope you all enjoyed my city in the time you were here - many continued wishes on your endeavors! Incredible spec Town Car; I still have photos of a few of that gen I rode in as a kid, definitely one of my top fav gens of the Town Car.
That’s awesome Anthony! Those are amazing cars, and one of my favorite body styles! I have a 1985 Town Car Armbruster Stageway 6 door limo that I absolutely LOVE!!
Gorgeous Car Anthony! What a great find. By the way, the black cat was Good Luck, not bad luck! I think it was a sign that this car was meant to be yours. 😉
Hi Anthony, That 1989 Lincoln TC looks like a very nice car. I like the color combination and last year for that body style and probably the best looking of those years. Sure looks like a nice example to keep.
Cutest Daughter Award for sure! What a little sweetheart.. As for the White Lincoln.. Ford really had it goin on in the 80s. I drove a few new ones that were leased as company cars and was very impressed.
Speaking of 89 town car. I saw one the other day exactly like the one you have. The only difference is it was gray. That thing looked like a time capsule too.
Is that a factory roof? I’m really surprised they omitted the opera lights in the B-pillars. I remember going with my grandparents back in 1993 to pick up their new to them ‘89 Town Car. It was a Signature Series with around 30K at the time so it would have been about like this car condition wise. Lot of good memories riding in the front center seat between them, those were the days!

This baby is simply gorgeous 😍. Words can't describe it to its fullest . The previous owner did a superb job of maintaining this work of art.😊
Seeing a grown man call his father "Dad" is just heartwarming. The bond you have with your family is awesome. Sending best wishes from Saudi Arabia!🇸🇦
That cat is loveable...not bad luck.

Damn that Lincoln is MINT. Great find, and kudos to the prior owner for looking after it and keeping it gorgeous!
I love my town car, a 86 with 114,000 miles and still does long road trips with no problems but that one is on a other level of nice
I have an 89 Grand Marquis. This town car looks mint.
Wow! She's a beauty. Reminds me of the all black one Paul Castellano was in when he met his fate in front of Sparks Steakhouse.
John Gotti FUCKED UP THE FAMILY
YeahBUT- that was an 86 that big Paul CASTELLANO was tuned up in lol
Man that SO beats cadillac to death in elegance and absolute style
That 89 is like floating on a cloud on the 🛣

This has to be one of the best finds. beautiful townie. She's definitely a keeper!!!!
The 89 is the cleanest thing I have ever seen.
Just discovered this channel and have subscribed ! Making a trip like this by myself or with a friend would very literally be a dream come true. Thanks for sharing this !
WOW what a GREAT example of 1989 awesomeness!!

Love it when you two road trip. I wish Lincoln would have kept a version of these taillights into the 2000's.
Words can't describe this car.
Sweet can't wait to see the price
That had to be a very comfortable ride back home...Beautiful LTC guys, Well Done!
Wow! This one is more perfect than I had imagined! It’s definitely a keeper!

This car is fabulous! Looks like you've stepped back in time to '89 with the car rolling off the dealers lot! What a score!
I grew up with my family owning these vehicles back when they were new, I’ve never seen until this video the CD player add on ,

It is absolutely beautiful. Great color combination.
I love that year Town Car.
Looked like a great adventure -your best content here!!! 😉Shame to see that late 80s beige Park Ave you first opened up in there, actually looked fairly clean otherwise....
My parents had an ‘88 blue over white, same equipment. Best riding car I’ve ever driven. Think I’m gonna look to buy one.
I would have loved to see a little more of the Town Car passing through some of places between Nashville and New Hampshire. But it's fun to see you bring this car home and that you had the chance to be with family. Thanks for keeping these unique cars alive!
Beautiful I love Lincoln town cars. The best cars ever made. My dad had a 87 Lincoln town car and 88 beautiful.😊
My grandfather had a few of these Lincoln’s as well. He’s buy them a year old and only keep them 2-3 years. Very little depreciation I reckon.
Beautiful car and in great shape!
That is absolutely beautiful
One of my favorite gens especially with moonroof 😊
I have a soft spot for this car. My father bought a brand new 1988 Lincoln Town Car Signature Signature.

This car has not been in that garage for 30+ years. The audience is being played to increase the interest for this car. Please don’t do that.

1000 miles in 14 years, I’m doing 1000 miles a week
Same shit, every month I’m changing the oil for 5000 miles
Is that a factory roof? I’m really surprised they omitted the opera lights in the B-pillars. I remember going with my grandparents back in 1993 to pick up their new to them ‘89 Town Car.
