@jimboSleeeeiiice thats the thing though when curtis blocks looks like hes also obstructing his own vision. Was a great fight tho i thought kopylov would have a slightly easier time than he did
this isnt being said enough; Mark Smith should be PRAISED for his stoppage of Kopylov Curtis. If a fighter is constantly landing bombs and finally drops their opponent, and their opponent goes down to their hands and knees unable to pop back up, clearly badly hurt, that is grounds for a finish. Should Roman have followed Curtis and continued throwing strikes? He could have, and nobody would be crying about a "bad stoppage", but why is that even necessary? The damage was done.. Curtis went down and was in a bad way. Im seeing people talk about scorecards and suggesting "what if Curtis was up 2 rounds, he wouldve been robbed", and Im here to say this is exactly why the stoppage is so important, because Roman is the one who wouldve been robbed had it not been stopped and 2 rounds were awarded to Chris. Imagine if Curtis were up 2 rounds (not that he was, but imagine he actually did win the first two rounds), in a hypothetical scenario; imagine youre up 2 but youve been tagged hard multiple times throughout the fight, with a few seconds left your opponent whips up a headkick and you get dropped bad, falling sideways onto all fours. You cannot pop back up because youre badly hurt. Your opponent chooses to not follow you down and throw additional shots to your already semi-conscious self, and the ref does not stop the fight even though it is warranted, because by any reasonable definition you were just bested by your opponent. Does it make sense for you to "win" a fight when by any reasonable definition you were finished in the dwindling seconds of the final round? In my opinion, absolutely not. Now in reality, Curtis was not up 2 rounds, so that hypothetical is not the case and had it not been stopped Roman would have won the decision. The reason the stoppage is so necessary and important however is I saw that as a fully justified stoppage, and it would have been a brutal robbery had it gone to decision and awarded to the guy who got finished at the last second.
If he went on throwing strikes hed only have a few seconds to do anything and it woulda went to a decision lol. This isnt boxing you dont drop someone and win. Curtis wasnt even knocked down fully, he was on his knees and getting up

Chris Curtis got dropped the first time in his career & had the fight stops with 1 sec left. That reff had to have a stoppage parlay 4 Roman
it was the right call. This was no ordinary "drop". Chris was down in a very bad way and could not pop back up. To not stop that makes no sense. Had Curtis actually been up 2 rounds it wouldve been a brutal robbery for him to win that fight when he was literally put down semi-conscious in the dwindling seconds.

First card I haven’t watched before coming here, was running after the intro 😂

Wow crazy how nobody replying here seems to get irony.
Everything was entertaining untill the main event
Women's fights have a good time ruining the momentum of the card 🤷♂️

You must’ve been drunk, the card was trash
Do you own any button-up shirts? Because you’re probably the most casual person I’ve ever come across.
The Stevie Wonder intro, strong.
1000% an early stoppage against chris curtis and now it looks like a finish. kopylov wasn't even attacking.
Curtis stoppage was early asf Kopylov was gifted a finish
terrible take. Curtis was so badly hurt. Look at the way he fell, and how he could not just pop back up. You make it sound like he got dropped and popped right back up like Ponzinibbio... the dude Curtis was down bad, all fours, couldnt get up. Extremely correct stoppage
@@tarzanstricklandIt was an eaely stoppage but it wouldn't have mattered anyway, he clearly lost that fight.
@tarzanstrickland damn, no honor between training partners, now? What, you had inside knowledge of an injury and bet against your bro? Or trained him bad on purpose?
Nothing is sacred anymore...
