I’m done following everyone! This channel has single handed made me a better and more efficient lifter. No bullshit, straight to the point, etc. Thank you 💪🏽🔥
Feels like every video you do it's like your a life coach or role model an I haven't seen you in abit an your giving me a lecture one on one.... And all this is truth your such a motivation.... Down to earth and says it like it is...
Main reason people keep asking such questions is because they don't realize the amount of hard work it actually is to build a huge physique. Getting ripped is easy, getting huge is a whole different ballgame. Some people can feel like they work their ass off for years without getting the results they were hoping for, and when you feel at a loss after what yourself consider to be hard work, well you start thinking there is a secret recipe somewhere, a certain split, a certain long forgotten hidden master exercise that builds everything. And so on. In my experience, most people simply do not train hard enough, they don't push themselves to the brink. And many of those who do push themselves to the point where they feel like they are going to pass out in the gym, don't eat properly to get those fibers repaired. It's a game of hard work and nutrition, and it's a long marathon, that takes years on years to accomplish. There are as Mike says, so many channels on TH-cam that preach this and that with certainty, but few actually get into the thick of it and say it as it is. The whole point of most "fitness advisers" is to gain clicks, clicks equals $. And I've seen people in comment sections on one site flaming advice they got on another site, just to see the same people move on to another site months later and flame the guy they just praised the same way. I mean. dayhum. There is no secret formula, a certain way of doing things, in a particular order. Just go the gym, get your muscles completely burned out, and then make sure to fill yourself up with what the body needs. And keep on doing it, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year.
To add to that these science based needs who don't lift now have people convinced to train a body part every other day or 2. Absurd. So tear a muscle down, then it grows back and stronger in a day or 2? Um no.
@@analogcrunch4716 There are some of those genetically gifted that only need 48 hours to recover. But most people needs at least 72 hours. For example professional athletes like football players have 72 hours between matches.
Perfect timing, hitting chest today at lunch. Doing my best to keep your advice in mind while lifting, it's definitely helped me work around my f*cked up shoulder and get back under some weight. I never realized how badly I was rolling my shoulders when pressing until I started watching your videos.
I follow a half dozen or so past bodybuilders all seem to be helpful, mike has a way that makes you feel like we did when we started,he makes you go,"oh shit,I get it now",then you want to go train, for me,he's focused,on point, not blowing smoke up your ass, alot to learn from this man,I wish I would have known about Mr.Wyck sooner. Well, better late than never in my case.
14:36 This is exactly how i do my cable flys. And on the exact same kind of cross machine. It's the movement that gives me the absolute greatest chest connection, i feel the burn right away.
With each successive video you put out, I realise how much utter crap I've watched and listened to down the years! I have copied how you move since the channel started and honestly, my body has responded better than it ever has. I am in my middle fifties and in the shape of my life! Very grateful to you Big Man! Respect!
The insight he gives is great. You would think it's common sense but often times, common sense isn't so common. I'm glad I came across his videos on instagram.
I really like using machine dominated sessions on chest day. I can manipulate my grip without risk of injury. Def feel a difference in the chest when you can have 95% of the weight on the meat of your palms. Im working on staying in that tension instead of rushing it.
Would love too see you're version of a Dumbbell with like resistance band only workout, keep it super simple but really hit the muscle group /split you're targeting like DB only Shoulders/Tris or DB only Chest/Tris type of workout. Keep Killin' It though brotha, really enjoy & respect your opinions/knowledge and how you explain everything.
Man totally agree with all these influencers & coaches that talk & act like they're better than everyone. All drama, gossip & nit-picking everyone else's stuff. Both guys & girls all be grouped together and called "The Real Wives of Fitness Influencing & TH-cam" lol
I think you’re talking directly to me lol. I asked you for advice on a split about a week ago. Recently started day 1 back chest 2 arms 3 legs/shoulders rest repeat. I am enjoying it and hitting everything twice a week. Been utilizing all of your cues. Thanks for the help. Done many different split styles and I feel like this is what works for me. So yes I’m taking your advice 🤣😂
Thank god Mike 🙏 for making me quit the push pull legs split I was in for god knows how long without realising it's the dumbest split ever. After watching the first videos I immediately snaped back to reality like if I was in some kind of spell. My weight is probably the same but now I have a back, shoulders, arms, legs... And goes on lol
Whatever you say do or don't do, I'm going to believe it cause you know why? Because ever since I subscribed to your channel everything you show and say makes SO MUCH SENSE! And also I noticed that you don't incline press nor decline press. I pay attention to you and I know why you don't do it. Great stuff man!
You know. Jay Cutler was a huge fan of decline presses, it was what really worked for him. Franco Colombo was a fan of incline press, 50-60 degrees actually, and that worked really well for him. It all comes down to what you enjoy yourself. On cable machines you can adjust the angle to target whatever feels correct that day.
@@FabledGentleman exactly. What works for you is what works for you. I would never tell people to not do flat bench because I prefer incline. I prefer it because my shoulders dont hurt at all doing incline. As long as your joints aren't hurting from the movement do w.e works.
Perfect way to bulk or cut, how to manage surplus, or deficit, digestion, workouts, right way to judge ourselves is the goal we are after is on the right path or not ? I hope i make my point.
Heh.. Great advice. I will catch myself asking something about weight, rest, freq, etc. but then I'll think what would Mike say? Probably something like, "I don't f-ing know, try it out and do it for a couple of months and see what works for you!" LMAO. Indeed. I've answered most of my own questions that way. Take care and Happy Mother's Day y'all!
I'm so happy that you bring the right content for us. I wasted a lot of time to hear and watch the new "biomechanic coaches". I injured myself because I follow their tips, what an irony

I love this TH-cam channel, It’s definitely a channel you want to be subscribed to 👍
Great chest video! The way I train along with your knowledge, gainz a plenty! Please stop with the comical voice overs, I'm losing focus here 🤣😂. The best one thou, STOP USING BITCH WEIGHT!! Your the man Mike,ALWAYS HAVE ALWAYS WILL BE!
In my experience, just drop the dumbbells already. I used to do them, thinking they had some special advantage to them. They don't. The only thing they are good for, is to put you at risk of injury. Do cables and machines only, like seriously.
The science guys annoy me. I don't see how any study can be done when every person who trains is unique. Some have great genetics others poor, some eat and sleep well, others don't, some train hard and others dont they move weights, some recover well others don't, some create tension on muscle and others think they do, some guys trained for 25 years others just started, how about age considerations? Way too many variables to lock down in these dumb studies. If you watch Mike enough you can piece together general info like he's doing 8 to 12 reps give or take. He's doing multiple sets a rep or 2 shy of failure as he progresses in weight, etc. He's hitting triceps after chest and biceps after back it seems. Not rock science fellas.
Why does one continually to watch something they don't like 🤦♂️ Another stupid fucking mindset of people I don't understand in this society. Get the fuck out of here lol
His advice, when he gets to it is on point, but much of his videos he's just being negative by sh*tting on other people LOL Like literally four minutes of every five is, "other people are stupid"
