    Perfect timing, hitting chest today at lunch. Doing my best to keep your advice in mind while lifting, it's definitely helped me work around my f*cked up shoulder and get back under some weight. I never realized how badly I was rolling my shoulders when pressing until I started watching your videos.

    Main reason people keep asking such questions is because they don't realize the amount of hard work it actually is to build a huge physique. Getting ripped is easy, getting huge is a whole different ballgame. Some people can feel like they work their ass off for years without getting the results they were hoping for, and when you feel at a loss after what yourself consider to be hard work, well you start thinking there is a secret recipe somewhere, a certain split, a certain long forgotten hidden master exercise that builds everything. And so on.
    In my experience, most people simply do not train hard enough, they don't push themselves to the brink. And many of those who do push themselves to the point where they feel like they are going to pass out in the gym, don't eat properly to get those fibers repaired. It's a game of hard work and nutrition, and it's a long marathon, that takes years on years to accomplish. There are as Mike says, so many channels on TH-cam that preach this and that with certainty, but few actually get into the thick of it and say it as it is. The whole point of most "fitness advisers" is to gain clicks, clicks equals $. And I've seen people in comment sections on one site flaming advice they got on another site, just to see the same people move on to another site months later and flame the guy they just praised the same way.
    I mean. dayhum. There is no secret formula, a certain way of doing things, in a particular order. Just go the gym, get your muscles completely burned out, and then make sure to fill yourself up with what the body needs. And keep on doing it, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year.

    • @analogcrunch4716
      @analogcrunch4716 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To add to that these science based needs who don't lift now have people convinced to train a body part every other day or 2. Absurd. So tear a muscle down, then it grows back and stronger in a day or 2? Um no.

    • @FabledGentleman
      @FabledGentleman 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@analogcrunch4716 There are some of those genetically gifted that only need 48 hours to recover. But most people needs at least 72 hours. For example professional athletes like football players have 72 hours between matches.

    • @FabledGentleman

      You know. Jay Cutler was a huge fan of decline presses, it was what really worked for him. Franco Colombo was a fan of incline press, 50-60 degrees actually, and that worked really well for him. It all comes down to what you enjoy yourself. On cable machines you can adjust the angle to target whatever feels correct that day.

    The science guys annoy me. I don't see how any study can be done when every person who trains is unique. Some have great genetics others poor, some eat and sleep well, others don't, some train hard and others dont they move weights, some recover well others don't, some create tension on muscle and others think they do, some guys trained for 25 years others just started, how about age considerations? Way too many variables to lock down in these dumb studies.
    If you watch Mike enough you can piece together general info like he's doing 8 to 12 reps give or take. He's doing multiple sets a rep or 2 shy of failure as he progresses in weight, etc. He's hitting triceps after chest and biceps after back it seems.
