after watching Barry's Cornshucks story demonstrating his dedication to getting it down, I feel lucky to have encountered Otis Bigs vids and had a chance to hear Barry share it. There are so many lives /stories that need to be known to render anything like true history!

Damn. What a story. What a talent, too.
Makes me wonder how many more wonderful and talented artists of the era have languished in obscurity.
Thank you, Barry, for the wonderful story and history, and the passion you have for bringing Little Miss Cornshucks to light.
Thank you, Otis, for yet another wonderful interview.
    Be good to you 🙏🏻🤍💛

You know you’re basically building a Ken Burns documentary one video at a time. Would be great to compile them in a few (many?) years and create an insiders history of American music.

The joy of tracking something down from some little thing you've read is pretty much lost, I'm glad I got to do it. I remember calling around for some old record I'd read about, and riding the bus, before I had a car, to get it. I loved all that , I love all this too though, life's good 😉

    Great segment with Barry.
It makes me stop and wonder how many unknowns have gone by without ever being known. Perhaps much more talented than the ones we all know. I have personally walked into places and told myself “what am I hearing right now” so much incredible unknown talent in the world. Sure wish the world had known “Little Miss cornshucks” better. Thanks Otis!

"If you keep going, you find things." Otis. Thank you for keeping these stories alive. Barry is the kind of story goldmine that you just seem to pull like a magnet. The observer at the edge, the musician in the wings, the producer behind the scenes. Proud to be a patreon; you're a modern day Alan Lomax of music lore.

So important, and well done Barry Mazor for taking the time to research and remember, for the future, the forgotten artists of the past. Thank you for your efforts. And by the way, her version of Try A Little Tenderness (great guitar in it) beats Otis Redding's version . . no disrespect to Otis Redding . . !

‘Just wanted to thank you for providing all these interviews, & personal accounts of so many outstanding entertainers. Of course there are others. However, you & Joe Chambers bring these facts to life in a manner that even myself, an ole Missouri Bootheel guy, can relate with.
Your music digs deep in the hearts of those who give a damned of our musical heritage.
Thank you ! I look forward to each new release over a nice cup of coffee.
    Keep up the awesome work.

i also like Barry saw her name crop up here and there in my reading, but never knew that someone had went and wrote an article, let alone a collection had been put together (but damn, i'd sure like to hear Barry's version) anyways, so now it's off to the places to buy these things. Thanks so infinitely much Otis for putting this up, and for Barry taking the time to tell it, but t write it as well. See ya tomorrow morning with a cup of joe at the ready
