Miss Teri, you're going to do this RIGHT! Not because you're and better or worse..... but because you're fanatically thorough!! 🏆 As we've discussed, the actual placement of all those files into Sound Teacher, correctly, IS THE GIGANTIC issue. At least for me. As a professional Sound engineer/musician/performer.... Making sounds that DON'T sound like the 8 bit SEGA files that Beier gives you (!!!), is the easier part for me. WHAT TO DO with them in Sound Teacher... that's where im really going to be leaning on you! (And unlike a mutual 'friend', you WILL get proper credit when im ready to show how i tackled this.)
My Scania is at this moment in time still an expensive paper weight! Not the easiest to sort out I'll give you that. As for the cost and tools. The only extras I needed where the lights and the speaker, as for the tools, dont we all have those already if build RC things? Good to see you still at it. One of the good things with the SFR is that you can delete all the existing sounds and put in your own. A good source is Trucker Tim on YT. he likes a bit of side pipe and many horns
Hi Teri ... great videos really helpful as I'm new to the rc model world ....building my first atm can you share where you purchased the lightbar and beacons from ? Cheers
OH! I've just about sorted my ultra tight steering hack! I've got 40% sharper steering on me Grand Hauler now! As soon as I know it's more easily repeatable, I'll share it with you, then the other 6 people still watching me. 😂😅
Hi Ms Teri it's always a pleasure watching your videos, it's always the same life and family come first and what ever free time we get we try and enjoy the hobby we like doing ,have you watched the videos by hobbyconcepts on the bier systems the new msm system looks so simple to install in a truck no need for a computer or having to teach the system ,looking forward to seeing this build finished ,
The MSM-1 is just the same sounds that comes on the SFR-1 software and they are really rubbish. They some like a Sega Master system from 1986. the horns are totally unrealistic for a truck, the indicator sound is not real, and the reverse beeper is lame.
I'm not a fan of the MSM-1 whatsoever.... the sounds that are installed on it as absolutely rubbish and you can't change them. the sound part of the MSM-1 is the same as the Sense ESS-One or ESS-Dual. The sound part of the SFR-1 is changeable, and you WILL want to change the preloaded sounds, but editing them to sound right is a massive pain in the behind... and that is why everyone's SFR-1 sound the same, they just click on the Scania_V8.sfr file.
Hi Teri that white connector block on the grill what is it called is it a 8 way block.. sorry i just want to get the right parts first time as Beier costs a lot.
Hi Terry, what version of sound teacher are you using ? . I have had a problem with version. 1.40b, when I set up some of the horns the unit stopped working.
I recently downloaded the 1.40b update, I've not really used this version as yet but if I have any issues with this version I will revert back to 1.40a version.
Watching this series again.... STILL hoping to get even the cheapest Scania someday..... Anyway, the point. Yes, the MFC does everything easily and reliably.... Most people's main complaint is - NON adjustable sounds. Same with the GT Power. Not everyone is content with their trucks having the SAME engine/horn sound. Being transparent, the sounds you get with a Beier are..... shit! SEGA 80's video game quality. However, with creativity, which I know you have plenty of, you can make a Beier sound like you want it to. Not what you're forced to live with out of the box. Try to understand that. I understand that I have no real opinion of the MFC.... I could never afford one, and the 7 months I actually could, that period between getting my inheritance and my step-kids RIFLING through what was left.... (NOT counting the over $5000 I spent on people who no longer speak to me) The MFC was out of stock in every store in North America!! 😢😢 (Pandemic time) Someday I'd like to try one.

The beacons and light bar is part of the 8x4/4 kit, the internals to the bar and beacons were upgrades from AsTec Models.
Nice one Teri , 99% of that went right over my head LOL, Glad to see your getting it done 😀

I'm looking forward to the next video... 👍
Hobbyconcepts usually good for Breyer and doesn’t focus on himself but I’m sure you looked at his channel. Good job figuring it out thogh

You're talking about the Beier MSM-1..... that is *nearly* plug-and-play, and far easier than the SFR-1.
The MSM-1 is just the same sounds that comes on the SFR-1 software and they are really rubbish. They some like a Sega Master system from 1986. the horns are totally unrealistic for a truck, the indicator sound is not real, and the reverse beeper is lame.

That is a fair comment Ms Teri ,I guess it would be more suited for someone who is starting of into this hobby,

it's a JST XH 2.5 PCB connector.... I have an assortment of these and make them up myself as and when required.
Hi terry i have some beier video's on my channel sadly in dutch but i do use screen recordING for the computer
You can put your front eb rear indicator for the left on on 1 output you do not have to use 2 outputs
yes. I will use 1 output for left and one output for right indicators
