Our Indian population is rising quickly and a lot of people are flooding into the middle class bracket. Soon we will need bigger stations and more tracks to keep up with the huge demand. We have 10x more then japans population. I’d give it until 2040 before we must upgrade both the stations and the amount of tracks we have.

I am very concerned about the architectural design of each of the bullet teain stations. I sincerely hope it is not that fool who designed the new parliament building which from the outside looks like a Chaprasi office. China just built and commissioned the world's second fastest bullet train ( 350 kmph) in Jakarta, Indonesia. Even the station built, designed and architecture by Chinese companies looks fantastic. In fact it looks like a space station. So I hope they don't give nepotism architectural contracts just because some one is from Gujarat.
Lol modern architecture is crap, the futuristic aspect is not my cup of tea. Every station should reflect the traditional architecture of that place. This design and China's futuristic designs are both crap. New parliament building is awesome so was the old one, but in the new one interior architecture is superior .

They are, in cities like surat Ahmedabad, they are already planning for redeveloping stations, cities like Mumbai will get upgrade as well in future.
