I love this laptop. Got the 3080 ti with QHD. It is very powerful and quiet for its power. It’s perfect for me. I can work and game on it. Huge screen. G-sync makes gaming smooth. Cons for me are gets hot and have to keep it plugged in. Thermals improved when gaming with lightweight plastic laptop cooling fan/stand I carry with me. Build quality is excellent. I love the speakers.
As a digital nomad I was looking for a desktop replacement and this has been excellent. I upgraded to 64 gb of ram and 6tb storage for editing. Ive been sick this last week and used it for gaming. the 4k 144hz monitor has spoiled me for all other monitors.

Aw! Awesome. Thank you so much. I'm glad that this was helpful and that I was able to help give you the factors to consider to see if this is a good fit for you!
I’ve been watching you since the pixel 6 leaks and I must say, as much as I love all of your videos your product reviews are on another level. They are so in-depth and the videography and your insights are great!
Thank you so much!! I really do try. Hopefully, videos like these will get more views so I can keep making them. Not as much interest right now, but I’m trying…
This was published 2022-July-11, but as of 2022-July-24, the Razor Blade 17 page lists upgraded specs of an i9-12900H processor, RTX 3080 Ti GPU with 165W TGP, and 32GB DDR5 4800MHz RAM.
The audio processing of your video is a bit harsh, I recommend toning it down for future episodes. But great review! I loved how in-depth you went with the spatial audio and upgradeability.
Hey, man, I would love to hear your thoughts on the Pixel 6a. I got the Pixel 2 XL, 64GB variant in May 2018. Damn, I miss this phone. It had the best cameras in its class, front and rear, night sight, a smooth user interface, decent quality display, and very good battery life. The performance was up to the mark, with good build quality and mediocre dual speakers. Fortunately, I didn't have any significant h/w issues apart from the minor s/w ones. Overall, it performed pretty well from 2018 to 2021. Yes, the speakers now are distorted. Battery life is worse, now. The blue shift on my device was not that very much of an issue for me. Even as of today, it is somehow holding.
If you want a future ready Blade Advanced 15, for gaming, a quality build, and all around work, get the one I just bought. The 4K, i9,32GB, 3080ti, version. I love it. It does not get too hot during demanding games (I run the "balanced" profile) and it does everything else I need. Good luck.
I think the 4K i9 3080ti is just a little overkill, 4K kills battery and doesn’t change much at 15 inches. I got the 3080 only because no other was in stock but QHD (2k screen) i7 12800h and 3070ti is the best power per dollar and practicality! Great laptops either way if you got the funds 🙏🏽
Does the 2022 version of the m.2 slots accept a dual-stacked nVme? I've heard that it does support that now - meaning the theoretical upgradeable max is now 8TB?
I bought razer blade 17 rtx 3070ti with intel 12 800, QHD resolution 240hz display with g-sync! Playing god of war on ultra settings 70-80 fps! It gets warm around the display and in the middle of the e keyboard but wsad buttons are ok.
@@ThisIsTechToday I'd love to see the review. Especially if it's the 2022 version. I own a 2021 with the 3060 and love it but 2022 version looks intriguing.
I have the 2021 17” rtx 3070, I7, QHD 165hz and its held up reallyyyyy good. It is amazing and have not had any problems with it. I am still worried about battery bloat but it haven’t happened yet.

Haha, thank you. Not sure if you can hear it in my voice. Definitely pretty hoarse. Thank God for editing to cover up all the issues with being able to talk normally 🙏

would love to see a comparison for higher-end gaming headsets, right now I have sennheiser GSP 600, but looking for a new headsets that are really good with music too :)
I bought the razer blade 17 computer and after a year and a half of using it and keeping it clean, the computer over heated and now doesn't run the same, so now razer wants me to pay them to fix it (like I haven't paid them enough already), after they clearly sold me a computer that was not built to last
I guess that's what makes MacBook Pros so insane. You can get the same performance off the charger and still get insane battery life. I have the zephyrus G14 and it hardly has any difference in performance off the charger but it's hot, loud, and battery life isn't great. The concept isn't unusual.
This laptop is currently on sale for 1800eur, with a 3060 and a 240Hz QHD display, and another model of it is 1900eur, with a 3070ti and a 360Hz display.. I really can’t decide if I want that higher resolution or not.. (power is important to me, but if it can run well, but the 1080p panel looks blurry then it doesn’t matter no?)
i have a HP omen 15 2021 and the power dropping off a cliff is something that happens with the omen as well. i don't really think that these laptops are designed for gaming off power.
Yeah, it seems to be the unfortunate reality for ALL gaming laptops right now. It's a bit of a bummer. Hopefully, power efficiency becomes a thing in the near future. We can't just keep throwing more power at things for performance gain. How is that laptop otherwise?
Mid 2021 blade also has 4 mic. And its 1080p camera more goo than this one. And it has bot clear screen. İ mean oled version of that is more good because bazzels of screen under the glass. Thats why i will buy old one i will lose %9 power at gpu and also cpu. But i will pay 100€ less not a good deal but i realy wont to use screen with bazzels
you are recommending this for a student? Thats honestly, kinda crazy. The average student isn't able to even afford this laptop. They could build their own desktop, buy a decent laptop for school and still have a ton of money left over for the price of this product. Razer is extremely over priced, and price should always be considered when reviewing a laptop of this amount.
I know. That's the only scenario I can think of that makes sense. Surely there are students that can afford it. I've had classmates driving BMWs and stuff. The parents will pay for it.. not everyone knows or wants to build a desktop. I'm merely stating scenarios that make the most sense and people can filter based on that. There weren't a ton of scenarios that made sense.
