go hard like this was... "how many more times" and Dazed and confused" or blues "you shook me"... Their first album was incredible.... They are know for blues songs that they took to jaw dropping levels....
No LZ experience is complete without "since I've been lovin you" live from MSG...maybe his greatest vocal performance along side Jimmy when the band was at the height of their virtuosity
Zeppelin is the best. My favorite song is When the Levee Breaks. It's super hypnotic and no matter how many times I listen to it I can never get sick of it, but honestly that's true of so many of their songs. Just jump in and start listening to stuff. Can't go wrong with Zep.
Led Zepp was SO loud live your bones rattled the next day. You could feel the air being pushed away from the stage in gust of power. Incredible. The drumming was like riding an artillery barrage.
Yes...his voice is insane. Very powerful. There was a story where at the beginning of their career they were playing small clubs. At one gig, he lost his PA system. He kept singing with the band and could still be heard.
With Jimmy Page and Robert Plant out front, it is easy to overlook the fantastic bass of John Paul Jones and drumming of John Bonham. "The Lemon Song" will complete your search for a whole lotta love.
"Kashmere" is another Led Zep song you need to experience. It is as intense as "Whole Lotta Love", but in a way completely the opposite direction. While WLL is like a rocket, full of thrust and raw power, breaking every strain, Kashmere is heavy, pulsating agony; a cage around your head that is slowly but steadily constraining your conscience. In the end, Led Zep might all be about intensity, but it is truly about precision. Everybody can scream and shout, everybody can make a guitar whine and beg for mercy. But very few can SING a scream, or let their guitar PERFORM a whine. Led Zep can even let the metrum of the song wander totally out of synch, only to suddenly be on spot again and you realize THEY NEVER EVEN LEFT the metrum, they just played your brain and send you down the error lane... (Hence why so many covers totally botch rhe guitar solo in "Stairway To Heaven". You need to be a polyrythmic ace to get that this is just to be played straight on beat.) "Kashmere" is another example of rythmic mastery. Do it, you will love it! 🎶🎵
Their vocals, special effects and music are why they are Hall of Famer's, huge following and mega sales for decades. So many classic hits they own matched by only a few other bands....
This was recorded in 1969, when Plant was either 20 or 21. He had no formal musical training; he'd gone to school to be an accountant. In 1968 he was still working on a road crew laying tarmac during the day and playing in bands on the side. His voice just... did that. How Many More Times probably has his best single held note, although I really like In My Time of Dying; it's the band's longest song, but he doesn't really get a lot of time to rest in it, and he gives a strong performance throughout.
Imagine seeing this in the 70’s ! When you are a teen ! Thunderstruck I was ! Bitten for life ….. I learned most of their songs on the guitar and played in bands for 40 years. As a result
Can you imagine what this song did to our impressionable little teenage brains when it was released and we first heard this!!!!! Awesome classic! Thanks Maggie, great reaction please keep them coming!
Yeah, a lot of reaction videos to this song are often interrupted by the video creators. I get it, there's a LOT to say about every aspect that makes this song incredible, but geez, let the man sing!
@@jamesaron1967 especially reactors that are singers. I think they feel a need that they can sing these parts. I think it's annoying AF. That's why I love Lady on The Charismatic Voice. She's also an opera singer who NEVER sings during her reactions.
@@jamesaron1967 Yep, I watched one reaction to Stairway to Heaven where the TH-camr stopped the video at the end of each section (as it was transitioning) completely killing the flow . . . and one of those pauses was (and I am not joking here) 4 minutes and 20 seconds, as he waffled on and on he even opened up the Wiki page on Led Zed to read some stuff, lol . . . some people just don't know how to do an effective song reaction without killing the song.
Wake up Maggie, I think I've got something to say to you! They were like lightning in a box. You'll never look at us oldies the same way ever again. We were raised eating cereal for breakfast while listening the Led Zep. I loved your reaction and comments. Thank you x
If you like blues at all check out Led Zeppelin "When the Levee Breaks" or possibly "Hey Hey What Can I Do" or both 😁 Part of the thing about listening to Led Zeppelin is that it often asks for multiple listens. When you pay great attention to each of the 4 musicians it is next level.
Since I've Been Loving You. Everyone is going to tell you to watch the live Since I've Been Loving You from 1973 at Madison Square Garden. The studio version is also amazing, but to get the full Plant Effect, including the necessary, ahem...visuals...you need to see the live version. Also, the live version of Whole Lotta Love from that same '73 MSG set of shows is absolutely killer, especially for Jimmy Page. Since you love Plant's vocal range, other Zeppelin songs for you to cover are Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, How Many More Times, Dazed and Confused, Gallows Pole, and Black Dog.
Yes, you need to hear more Led Zeppelin! You could go through the entire discography, starting with the first album... to experience their massive talent and diversity, and hear everything from acoustic folk music to throw-back '50s rock and funk, to pounding heavy rock, to mystical journeys in sound and space -- there's such variety in LZ music, and not a "bad" song in the bunch! But, if that's too much for you, some highlights might include: You Shook Me, Since I've Been Loving You, Kashmir, Going To California, No Quarter, The Rain Song, The Battle Of Evermore, Gallows Pole, Achilles Last Stand, In My Time Of Dying. It's really difficult to choose just a few songs...
The Airplay Beats channel has been doing that for the past few weeks. I think they may be up to Houses of the Holy at the moment. Not sure because I haven’t finished their Led Zep 2 reactions yet. Though I have dipped ahead a bit every now and then.
Great traction Maggie. This was actually the first intro to Led Zeppelin for me back in the day. Jimmy Page was a seasoned studio musician before Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant is and will always be awesome.
Good for you getting into Led Zep!!! I would next recommend "When the Levy Breaks"... you can listen to the original, or, try a fantastic version that bassist John - Paul Jones did for Playing For Change... amazing to see people from all over the world come together to each perform little bits of the song. Then you might want to check out "Dazed and Confused", "Kashmire", "All My Love", "Rock and Roll", "Ramble On".
One of my favorites. Two songs come to mind. Dread Zeppelin's cover of Stairway to Heaven and Robert Plant's duet with Allison Krause on an Everly Brothers song Gone, Gone, Gone.
if you'd like to hear more of Robert Plant's vocal abilities. try "babe I'm gonna leave you" studio version... love your reactions, Maggie Renee..... Peace
You gotta do "Since I've Been Loving You," Live from MSG! Kashmir is another must do. Probably their second most popular song behind Stairway. And it sounds like no other song they ever did. But I would suggest the studio version because to me, there just is not a good live version out there. The sound mix is just off on most of them. There are a couple of ok live versions but nothing great. After that, OMG, there are so many songs you could do. They are extremely diverse so some are more bluesy. Some are more rock. Some folksy. Some hippyish. Some a bit progressive and they even have a Reggae like song. LOL. They were only around for about 11 years but they only have maybe a handful of bad songs in that time and every other one is very good. Oh and you still haven't done any of their "Lord of the Rings" songs. I think they had 4. "Ramble On. Misty Mountain Hop. The Battle of Evermore and Over the Hills and Far away." Each of the songs has Lord of the Rings references in it and or themes. Robert Plant was a huge Tolkien fan.
Led Zeppelin's first two albums are the best. Check out "Good Times Bad Times," "Communication Breakdown," and "Heartbreaker." Listen to their fourth album which includes "Stairway to Heaven."
Excellent reaction maggie! And yes I agree you DO need to hear more Led Zeppelin. No matter how far down the LZ rabbit hole you go your journey should include "Since I've Been Lovin' You" (live @ MSG), "When the Levee Breaks" and "Kashmir" (I recommend the studio version). From there...just enjoy! Disappointment is NOT on the menu.
Beside "Since I've Been Lovin You," and "Dazed and Confused," both from MSG 1973, try "The Rain Song" for hearing another side to them. "Kashmir" from the 1979 video too is quite fun and for me my fav LZ piece, which is very hard to come up with just one.
So happy that I was a teenager when Led Zeppelin kicked of their first album in 1968. It truly was the beginning of a whole new era of Music that they led the way, never followed, and so many tried to replicate but never could. They smashed so many attendance records at concerts it was truly an incredible time.
Back in the 70's and 80's in the UK on a Thursday evening the BBC, used to air a programme called Top of the Pops (TOTP), and for 11 years this was the programmes intro song.
Fool in the rain light all the love that I found. Great video reactions ... as a kid zeppelin was the pinnacle of rock and roll ... now that I'm Older it's queen for me.... itook all these artists for granted because this kind of talent was everywhere...
Great video! Enjoying your journey exploring Led Zeppelin. Back in the 80s and 90s most of the old school rock stations would have one night a week where they got "the Led out " and play a few hours of Led Zeppelin.
When The Levee Breaks - written in 1929 about the 1927 Mississippi river flood; Nobody's Fault But Mine - I consider Zep's heaviest song; Thank You - Love song; Gallows Pole - classic; Kashmir - written about a trip thru the Moroccan desert, beautiful...........and the list goes on
Just a fun fact...Led Zeppelin had a reunion show with the 3 surviving members and the original drummer's son (Jason Bonham) at the O2 arena in London playing for one night. Ticket requests exceeded 20 million for that show (a record, I believe). They've got some great albums for sure, but I'm partial to the first one. Keep on keeping on, Maggie Renee! Good to see you still doing your thing!
It’s so wonderful to see my grandchildren’s generation find and react to the music of my generation’s youth (one of the most productive musical eras, imo). Part of my joy is your joy but it also makes me relive the first time *I* heard these songs. It also teaches me new things about the music, especially from people like Maggie who are trained in music and can share even deeper insights. So THANKS, MAGGIE. Subscribed.

"No Quarter" and "The Rain Song" studio versions are both a must.
Fool in the rain 🌧
Go deeper in their catalog, Tangerine is a song I think you'd really ❤ 👍😎👍
Tangerine is a deep cut , I think you'd ❤
go hard like this was... "how many more times" and Dazed and confused" or blues "you shook me"... Their first album was incredible.... They are know for blues songs that they took to jaw dropping levels....
"I need to hear more Led Zeppelin." Truer words were never spoken. DEEP, eclectic, intense catalog, hitting every genre of music. Take it all in.
Led Zeppelin is their own genre. There is no other like them.
complex and dangerous
You will _love_ "Since I've been loving you" -- live version. Incredible.
can I quadruple like a comment?
Yes indeed!
Either version... Especially to notice the change in voice timbre due to overuse
After Robert got his lemon squeezed, he calmed down lol
No LZ experience is complete without "since I've been lovin you" live from MSG...maybe his greatest vocal performance along side Jimmy when the band was at the height of their virtuosity
agree
BBC sessions version is even better. Plants vocals are at their best, definitely better than the MSG performance.
The good version of Since MSG 1973! The one from the original film! Not, the one from the dvd How the West was won!👍
She should react to the whole '73 MSG concert. She will love it!
@@yelljal2764 oh, I most certainly cannot deny that
when Plant sings it looks so effortless for him
All the great ones made the most difficult things in life seem effortless.
Zeppelin is the best. My favorite song is When the Levee Breaks. It's super hypnotic and no matter how many times I listen to it I can never get sick of it, but honestly that's true of so many of their songs. Just jump in and start listening to stuff. Can't go wrong with Zep.
You have to hear Kashmir, another iconic Zeppelin song !!!!!! Will not disappoint
That song is just blistering. All 4 musicians are the best of their craft.
Led Zepp was SO loud live your bones rattled the next day. You could feel the air being pushed away from the stage in gust of power. Incredible. The drumming was like riding an artillery barrage.
This song screams sixties, the start of Led Zep's journey through musical styles. I loved watching you react to the song!
I second the motion for The Lemon Song.
All in favor? ... All opposed?
The ayes have it.
Nobody has ever or will ever play the drums like John Bonham
She looks old enough to listen to "The Lemon song". (over 18) LOL!! 😁
"Kashmere" is another Led Zep song you need to experience. It is as intense as "Whole Lotta Love", but in a way completely the opposite direction. "Kashmir!"
Last time I checked, Kashmir is not about wool ('Cashmere').
Their vocals, special effects and music are why they are Hall of Famer's, huge following and mega sales for decades. So many classic hits they own matched by only a few other bands....
My favourite Led Zeppelin tune: Rock 'n' Roll
Glad you're enjoying Led Zeppelin. I don't think you can really go wrong with any of their hits but I'd recommend Kashmir next.
They are MAGICAL! Live 1973 for this song!! Magnificent! Live they are killer! Greatest band in history!
This was recorded in 1969, when Plant was either 20 or 21. He had no formal musical training; he'd gone to school to be an accountant. Jimmy Page knew what he wanted when he put his new band together. Plant could wail like an air-raid siren.
They were just incredible such a tragedy that Bonham drank himself to death
I agree with the other posts. "since I've been lovin you" live from MSG. One of the greatest moments in Rock History.
Imagine seeing this in the 70’s ! When you are a teen ! Thunderstruck I was ! Bitten for life ….. I learned most of their songs on the guitar and played in bands for 40 years. As a result

To be young, wild, 10 feet tall, bulletproof, and rocking hard again!
It blew my mind as a teen in the early '80s. Can't imaging a decade before that when it was released..
Led Zepplin was bild in 19 70 in UK
Imagine hearing this pop up in 1969 when the heaviest you heard was the Beatles. Rolling Stones, Beach Boys and Elvis. 🤘
DAzed and Confused next. The call and response between plant and pages guitar is on another level
“Over the hills and far away”
one my personal favorites along with Going to California and When the Levee Breaks
Warning you here the best Rock Band in History
It was so cool that you actually let robert plant sing most of the song
I noticed and appreciated that, as well
Yeah, a lot of reaction videos to this song are often interrupted by the video creators. I get it, there's a LOT to say about every aspect that makes this song incredible, but geez, let the man sing!

Battle of Evermore is a great listening experience
I was fortunate enough to see Led Zeppelin in 1973. Tickets were $16.... great show!
The Song Remains The Same is another great one from them. Oh, and John Bonham wasn’t just a drummer, he was THE drummer. ❤️
So happy to be there from the beginning of your Led Zeppelin journey. Black Dog would be fun for you, I believe

Custard Pie by Led Zeppelin is the greatest song in the history of rock and roll.
Two absolute favorites of mine are 'Battle of Evermore' and 'Ten Years Gone'. Both are slower tempo songs that really show off some great vocals.
Great reaction. Try since I've been loving you, live at MSG 1973. Pretty sure you will love it. The rain song from the same show also.
You’ve only scratched a tiny surface of the range of LZ. Do “Babe I’m gonna leave you “ or “In my time of dying “. Great reactions by the way
Yes and yes!
LedZeppelin is just magical so happy to grow up with them
One of my favorites. Two songs come to mind. Dread Zeppelin's cover of Stairway to Heaven and Robert Plant's duet with Allison Krause on an Everly Brothers song Gone, Gone, Gone.
The Krause - Plant album is a must its sublime!
This is one that gets cranked up everytime I hear it on the radio. Classic. Great reaction. It's great watching you dance in your chair.
Growing up in the UK in the late 70's/ early 80's as a kid this song only meant one thing to me...
"TOP OF THE POPS" (they used it as the theme tune)
Same way us 70s/80s kids in New Zealand feel when we hear Steve Winwood's "Night Train" - theme to "Ready to Roll"!
Since I’ve been loving you, Zeppelin live!
if you'd like to hear more of Robert Plant's vocal abilities. try "babe I'm gonna leave you" studio version... love your reactions, Maggie Renee..... Peace
Best reaction YOU have done, not talking, singing over it, being respectful.
Well it’s got to be Kashmir by Zep next.
All of my love by Led Zeppelin. love that song
Led Zeppelin's THANK YOU. It's BEAUTIFUL!!

led zeppelin's kashmir is a MUST. Will blow you away!!
Hey Maggie. Try to listen to Led Zeppelins Since ive been loving you - the live vision. Best Wishes. Steen from Denmark

React to Zeppelin's "Ten Years Gone".
I saw zepplin in 74, i as m so grateful to have come of age during that amazing time in music
For a singer I believe that "The Battle of Evermore" would be an excellent experience.
So happy that I was a teenager when Led Zeppelin kicked of their first album in 1968. Back in the 70's and 80's in the UK on a Thursday evening the BBC, used to air a programme called Top of the Pops (TOTP), and for 11 years this was the programmes intro song.
Kashmir live from Earls Court in 1975, a truly magical experience - I was at that concert
Yes, they are incredible and amazing band, and they were so young at that point in time!
Fool in the rain light all the love that I found. Great video reactions ... as a kid zeppelin was the pinnacle of rock and roll ... now that I'm Older it's queen for me.... itook all these artists for granted because this kind of talent was everywhere...
Achilles Last Stand is another great piece of music from their Presence album !!!
Great video! Enjoying your journey exploring Led Zeppelin. Back in the 80s and 90s most of the old school rock stations would have one night a week where they got "the Led out " and play a few hours of Led Zeppelin.
Those were the days with Jim Ladd and KMET - The Mighty Met, in L.A. He always did his comment, "Now, time for some Zeppelin."
“Babe I’m Gonna Leave You”
“Since I’ve Been Loving You” (one of my favorite guitar solos in rock’n roll)
Long live your channel Maggie.
What a bright and beautiful soul you are . Love your reactions too. Kashmir next please!
These guys were all high as kites during these concerts.
When The Levee Breaks - written in 1929 about the 1927 Mississippi river flood; Nobody's Fault But Mine - I consider Zep's heaviest song; Thank You - Love song; Gallows Pole - classic; Kashmir - written about a trip thru the Moroccan desert, beautiful...........and the list goes on
Since I’ve been loving you by Led Zeppelin is a bluesy rock must listen to😊

This soundtrack was adapted to become the theme tune that would start the Top of the Tops show once a week on BBC1 (UK TV) back in the 70s
Over The Hills And Far Away would be something I think you'd like. Very enjoyable watching you listen to Zeppelin.
That was the studio version played over concert footage. Excellent.
Any selection is epic!! Kashmir, Black Dog, When the Levee Breaks, Stairway.. all channeled from another World.
Excellent reaction....."You Shook Me", Zeppelin, 1st Album. Keep it coming.
This came out when I was a senior in high school. What a time.
"YOU SHOOK ME" IS THE BEST Led Zeppelin song ever AND one of the best ROCK music songs EVER - in my opinion - its awesome!!

Led Zeppelin is an experience.

Led Zep, live @ Madison Square Garden," Since I've been loving you."
jimmy page, robert plant what a tremendous performance my fav song of led zep STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN👍💪❤️
So nice to hear someone feeling the same thing i did when i was discovering Led Zep. Thank you.
loved this a super lot. unmatchable and super unique. Really cool band, super talented, pretty eclectic 🔥🔥🔥
Glad you enjoyed it!

Every inch of my love. Lmao.
