    Thank you Matthew for presenting these videos. I chose my original Medicare 2 years ago after watching all of your videos--many times over--and taking notes! I have been so happy with my medical policy, and will always remember making the decision to “buy the insurance that I will need when I am sick….” Not for now. I also love how proactive your representatives are with making sure that I am updated when changes are looming! As for video length, yes, I like the 2 video format, and 25 to 30 minutes is good. Lastly, I am in the mental health care field, and also have a nursing background. When ever I go to the doctor, and they ask for my insurance, they always reply, “oh, you have the good plan! Original Medicare with a medigap supplement!”

    Thank you Matthew for continuing to give a quality education to seniors who want to know. My wife and I are in our early 70’s and chose advantage plans when we began Medicare for 2 reasons. First because of ignorance and not realizing there are people like you who can educate us. Second, the advantage plan seemed like great insurance because it was so much better than we had while working. But as our knowledge increased, we realized we had made an error in judgement and were fortunate enough to be healthy enough to qualify for Medigap plans with your help and with a very strong company. What you did for our family can’t be measured in just dollars. The peace of mind is priceless. Thanks Matthew and keep up the great work you do. 😊 Also, I think the 2 video concept is probably more realistic since you release them close together. Take care.

    Another excellent video series, Matthew! As someone who recently became eligible for Medicare, and who began my due diligence regarding Medicare choices a year in advance (off and on), I can definitely say it pays to do research, as this is one of the most consequential health decisions a person will ever make. I've collected numerous TH-cam video links and PDFs on various Medicare topics to help me mull things over and make an informed decision. And as a new client of MedigapSeminars, I can vouch for the able assistance your agent provided me. Educating yourself is essential, but tapping into the expertise of someone who knows the ins-and-outs of the industry is invaluable.
    Thanks so much for investing the time to make these informative, no-nonsense videos!
    I throw my vote in for two separate videos of 20-30 minutes long... just about right for reaching the saturation point for those new to the game.

    Thank you for these informative videos. I signed up for Medicare A in 2020. I have "creditable" employer insurance and did not sign up for B. Next year I will step away from 40+ years in the building trades. My biggest take away from the learning curve of Medicare is how complicated it is. This feels akin to putting banana peels on the ground in front of folks in the hope that they will slip. Every slip means more money for insurance companies. It is all so unnecessarily convoluted.

    Have had many people tell me over the years that have been on Medicare for years to get all the Medicare coverage you can afford. Because they didn't, and ended up in a bad financial situation due to health problems later in life with themselves or their spouse. So a supplement plan is the way I'll go, when i do retire. Either G or N. Still have awhile to weigh options. Thanks Matt. Appreciate all the info! Excellent videos.

    I really learned a lot from Part 1 and Part 2 of this series. So much so, I subscribed! You did the right thing by splitting the information into two parts. The videos were packed with good information. I have a question after watching several of your videos. Is it possible to switch from Plan G to Plan N without going through underwriting? I have had Plan G for two years, but now believe Plan N might be a better choice for me.

    I appreciate the way you deliver this important information. I have, what may be, an odd question…..if you went with the wrong agent when you started out and help is non existent, can you keep the policy and fire the agent? I understand if that’s not a question you feel comfortable answering! Thanks again for your informative videos.

    • @MedigapSeminars
      @MedigapSeminars  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The answer is no. The reason is that insurance companies rightly believe that if they allowed it, there would be category og agent that simply targeted exisiting clients to pressure / influence them to change agents. The result is no new business for the company, but they and their productive agents would be spending time and money trying to keep what they already have. The only way to change agents is to change insurance companies.

    I used to have an Advantage plan with no premiums and only $199 max out of pocket and I had no problems with any approvals but I switched to Supplement Plan G this year and paid a high premium only because I didn’t want to risk the chance of a treatment being denied no matter how low that risk may be. Not sure if that was the right choice because it really is a lot of money to keep Plan G and I hardly need to go to the doctors, as least for now .

    I have had both supplement after first year my supplement went up even though my health is very good. My concern I have needed dental for some expensive work I needed done and then I switch to a Advantage for the dental. I have relatives that have medical issue and supplement went up for both $400 just for the supplement that is $800 a month for both plus paying for part A&B and drug prescription. That drop them to low income still cannot get medicate because if they drop the supplement they would be over. Once the supplement went up the agent goes I can't switch you because of your health. People just know when you have health issues your supplement will go up!!!! i have seen this happen to three of my relatives all three $400 each. One is low income but has a 401k that her health insurance will eat up. Juat saying!

    • @MedigapSeminars
      @MedigapSeminars  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Medicare supplement plans cannot and do not adjust prices based on your health. Price changes are for everyone with that plan in whatever area / zip code you live in. In addition, all price changes must be approved by the state. I believe th issue here is likely the insurance company chosesn for the supplement. That is why I say that the insurance company you choose has a greater impact on price than the plan you choose. PS - changing to an advantage plan for dental insurance is like trading in your house for a tent.

    • @vickiowens-e6q
      @vickiowens-e6q 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@MedigapSeminars My dental work cost was $6000. and you only get a discount if you have a dental insurance I end up paying around $1200 out of pocket. After my husband"s sister had two surgery's for afib one for top of heart and one for bottom of her heart by two different sergeants. Last year her supplement was $200 and jump to $400. Its hard for me to believe that they don't raise prices due to health. I also watch a video of the reason for them to raise if the group your in aren't making a percentage amount they raise your cost for thier profit. Then your health issue are not good no other plan will take you and then your stuck. Low income SENIORS cannot afford a supplement thats why they go to Advantage plan. Bottom line people who are just above the medicate income level cannot afford the quality care as the ones who can afford a supplement.

    Not a major difference, but a difference nonetheless...I have always read that the Medicare Open Enrollment Period for those starting Part B is actually 6 months, not the 180 days in the video. Again, not much of a difference, but could be important.
