Lately I have been learning to race without the braking line. This is one of the few descent races I have had lately. Hope you enjoy the race and thank you for watching.

Good race bro, those penalties were ridiculous. Not using the braking line is next level. I always try to use markers/signs for braking when possible but do rely on it to help gauge speed sometimes. I agree with your reply above, the game has been less enjoyable recently.

kudos on ditching the braking line. I know just how hard it is to get back up to speed (switched it off 6 months ago and I'm still not there). I find when I get unsighted or when I'm off line (i.e. during an overtake or to a lesser degree in defence) that that is when I get into trouble.
The "top players" in this game are quite funny about it too. They can often be found claiming it makes no difference yet they religiously run it. Personally I think it helps a lot in situations like I described as it provides a handy reference to tell you if you're going too fast/slow for your current position/speed. So much so it's likely unconscious. While I feel it absolutely doesn't make you "faster" it does help you to be more consistent and as I mention, those off line situations. It's an unpopular opinion though.

Oh and is it just me or has FRR become insanely bad lately? That was 2 penalties you got that where not your fault. Suffering the same myself.

That penalty it gave you on lap one was some real BS that even hurt my feelings. Cool to see you turn the racing line off though!
Thank you. It has been quite a struggle without the line but I feel like I am slowly getting better. In the end I hope to be faster without it.🤞
@@smashusilly my biggest tip is to try to pick a marker on track that can’t be taken out during a race. Sometimes the meter boards don’t always make it
