The painting is sensational , well done and your teaching is outstanding, you save a lot of people a lot of money on art classes , thank you, such a natural teacher and so full on information .
Love this video. Your "horizon line" (not verison line) is well done. The color choices are perfect. I tend to use less water than most as well. I love the heavy body paints, too.
Just want to say thank you for making this video, I too am a self learner and I was struggling with clouds and you made it so easy to understand and I am just so impressed with how easy you make it look. You’re very good, thank you for the inspiration and the tutorial! Keep them coming! 😁
Finally .thank you so much. Painting clouds WAS my most difficult problem. I must have watched a hundred videos. You explain it so clearly , I finally “got it” Thank you
Subscribed! You had me at creating the illusion of distance by putting more blue in the clouds 😊 I LOVE clouds and am fairly new at acrylic painting. I really appreciate your explanations, descriptions of paints and brushes and the effort you take to convey your process.
Nice tutorial, can't wait to try this. I hope you make more painting videos because you are a natural instructor and explain things very well and have such a relaxed manner. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I enjoyed it very much. What made it so easy to understand is your soft tone of voice, very relaxing. My next cloudy technic💙Beautiful art ☁️ painting!
First time watching you paint Lori and I wanted to tell you that you are great at explaining things and making it really clear and simple. Thank you Also I really love your work
Yes it's beautiful. ...❤ usually find a Cookie Monster in the sky when I'm painting rounded clouds with googly eyes and a mouth, with 😂a cookie. Sure it is very much a Pastime and fun as an aspiring Artisan with acrylic paints
Nice clouds! Some artists say, "so now let's add some happy clouds to this painting" but actually when painting clouds according to one's imagination it always looks as if there is something not right. Best is to always paint from nature.
Thank you so so much!!! Beautiful. This is very useful for other mediums as well... I thought I was an oils person but after being so inspired by you, I really want to work more on acrylics.. Planning some painting for my family! Thank you again~~~
Thanks Lori for this tutorial, it's amazing. Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm not sure if the camera is too faraway or it's the type of brush you're using or whatever. It's frustrating seeing an artist paint something in a tutorial and the watcher not being able to duplicate what is being shown. Like I said, it's not your fault, you are an awesome artist. I on the other hand have tried doing this several times and I just can't seem to reproduce those amazing clouds. Any advice?
Looking at your channel, I see it’s been a year since you posted a 🎨 tutorial. I hope you’re alright. You’ve got a lot of talent & potential. I’ve got some advice for you, for what it’s worth. I’ve spent the last two years watching/studying TH-cam 🎨 tutorials bc I wanted to learn to paint. Of the artists on TH-cam that do tutorials, the most successful.. the one w/ the most subscribers/views, are actually the ones who don’t speed up the video. I know that sounds counterintuitive, but when it comes to teaching something like painting, the best way to learn is to watch the whole process. It may seem to you like that would be boring, but for the folks who really want to learn or improve their skills, it’s critical to watch exactly how you’re using your brush. For example, in this one you’ve painted beautiful clouds, but to me, the most important part is in the shading bc that teaches perspective, & how to make clouds look three dimensional. Then perhaps, you offer a special more complex tutorial 2x/mo, as private.. for your patrons only. Maybe start out at $8-$10 mo for membership. You may want to wait to try that part for a few months until you build a bigger viewership. Also, I’ve no idea what your schedule is like. The last thing I’d say is to always thank viewers for positive comments, block the trolls, & be sure to put out content consistently. I’d certainly come back. I started in acrylics. I’ve been watching an oil painter lately, that is very good at tutorials. Keep in mind he’s been painting 50+ yrs, & was classically trained, so he knows a lot, but his demeanor & manner of teaching make you want to keep watching. If you’d like to see an example that you may find helpful, check out his video, Stuart Davies The illusion of Detail. I will slow speed the last part of your video bc you’re getting the proper shades in the right places perfectly, & I need to get it in my brain, lol. Good luck to you!! You’re good at teaching. I think you could build a good following. My only other advice is to move personal videos to another channel bc it can seem unprofessional or off-putting to some. You’re selling your skills & your paintings, which can be impacted by that. These are all just suggestions & I wish you the best😉
You're tutorials are the best I've found, I'd love if you did realtime tutorials , I'd definitely subscribe to a Patreon if you'd ever consider it ....
You did a better job on clouds than the “pros” I see on here. Keep doing more tutorials because your point of view is refreshing!
I don't know which one is more beautiful, the painting or the Artist.

Aw that’s awesome! So happy I helped!
you're good at explaining technique..."scrubbing"..."layering"...and the stiff brush, scrubbing technique really makes sense in painting clouds.
Subscribed! You had me at creating the illusion of distance by putting more blue in the clouds 😊 I LOVE clouds and am fairly new at acrylic painting. I really appreciate your explanations, descriptions of paints and brushes and the effort you take to convey your process.
