CLEARFAST, it’s a new product , to drink before surgery , says to take at least 3 hours prior . I’ll just down 2 bottles around midnight to be sure , I’ll check back here to let you guys know how it went
That makes me so mad. Many surgeons will tell you to have nothing after midnight, regardless of whether your surgery starts at 8AM or 1 PM. They really don’t care that you’re suffering hunger and dehydration for an additional five hours. It’s ridiculous. If you want to follow standard orders, I would probably give it eight hours before surgery. If you don’t care about their old rules, you can have clear liquids up to two hours before surgery.
I went against the doctors order and drank a glass of water two hours before and I felt great after.
So u think I’ll be ok if I do that they do it so patients Won’t aspirate I just can’t imagine go on without drinking water or Gatorade or something
@@alyssanowak9272 soooo true , the blind leading the blind
Just because it didn't happen this time, doesn't mean it won't next time. . They tell you that for a reason
Why not put a saline?
IV bag. Then you get the best of both worlds.

I'm scared to do this but will drink Gatorade
I wouldn't do it at all. Just because it didn't happen to them doesn't mean it won't happen to you! If your doctors says NO, then don't do it.
The doctors are using old information that can harm you. Drink your Gatorade up to two hours pre-surgery. I would.
