Hey brother! Nice belt sander, I have been eyeing that ine for a while...and good nite, if it takes that long to get it..I should had made a decision last year..lol..I like rikon.. I have a bandsaw and had to use customer service... their customer was fantastic! That hammer is sweet! Great job.. and u were able to use that sweet sander..win win.. I'd like to run across one like that.. that surely one of kind though! Very nice!!
Been hoping to find an old belt sander here local so last Dec I gave up and ordered me that Rikon as my Christmas present to me. Ended up being an Easter present. I have a video in process that expands on some of the issues with the sander, nothing to bad that can’t be resolved.
Having a belt sander is such a useful tool to have. That aluminum hammer looks great well done. Also congratulations on hitting 1,000 subs! Very well deserved👍
Thanks so much. Regarding the new machine, a couple of other issues will be addressed in next video. Willing to bet you’re going to think “I could have told him so.” Know that I watch more than a few video on the Rikon before I pulled the trigger.
Pretty neat hammer someone made, never seen one quite like it............I don't have a variable speed sander but one of my bench grinders has a variable on it and I like it when I use the fiber wheel.......Hopefully after that long wait you have good luck with it, I hate to think how many years you'd have to wait if you sent it in for servicing.
Tough question. This RIKON has a hard time turning those thick conditioning belts, but regular sanding belts are not a problem. It requires mods to the work table. But I believe everyone modifies their tools.

Good to see you back. The hammer looks great.
Thank you my friend.
Nice hammer mate - Glad to see you back on the tools 👍
Thank you my friend.

Yes! Years and years and finally 1000 subs. Thank you my friend.
Glad mom has a new hammer!
Me too! Appreciate your comment. 😁
That's a cool homemade hammer! Good luck with the new machine!

Thank you my friend. That poor hammer is so unbalanced. It will be used to occasionally bang on postal equipment to free a latch, etc.
SHINY! That is a cool hammer. And good luck with your new sander!
Long time coming on the belt sander. Thanks so much.
Nice hammer, lots of luck with the new 1x30 they are invaluable!
Thank you my friend. I am very excited to finally have a belt sander.
I have been contemplating that same model. Would you buy it again?

@RestorationbyAlabamaCreeks with modifications, will the thicker conditioning bets work? Or is it a HP problem?
