I can't quite believe we're hearing all these reminiscences about him knowing that we'll never see or hear from him again. Everything that people have been saying about Warne is true, he really was that amazing.

Especially here in his home town.
It was a shock for all of us connected to cricket around the world. I still watch bits of that special memorial at G, something none of us who saw it on tv or in person will ever forget!

Nasser, Mike Atherton & Shane Warne were my favourite pundits & I could listen all night when they had a discussion about things like captaincy & spin bowling. Nasser here is very composed & professional but inside he'll be devastated at the loss of a dear friend. Legend is an overused word, but it applies to Shane Warne. Gone way way too soon. RIP mate.

I couldn't stop crying watching the clip of him putting and joking with Nasser. You can see what a truly lovely and genuine bloke he was.

Back in 1997 while visiting the UK, one day in London somewhere near Harrods, I walked into a pub for a pint. The place was buzzing with cheers and chants as everyone was watching a cricket match on the Tele. After a moment or two of watching the guy pitching ;-)...I mean bowling!...I was in love with the game. Turns out it was Shane Warne. He was brilliant! In love with the game ever since. Nobody did it better. So sorry to hear about his passing, and so young.

He really was the best. I was lucky enough to see him at my first ever test match, at Edgebaston and even though we won, he had the most amazing presence. A huge loss to the world

Great thinker , Great analyst and Great executor yielded Great result in the match in world cup league match against South Africa where Aussies defending only 213 in 50 overs ... That never say die spirit is Shane ,he never bowled in defending nature , always in attacking the batsman .. That is Shane , only one Shane , leg spin magician shane .

Shane Warne was one of a kind not just in cricket but in life overall. An Aussie larrikin who smoked, drank and gambled but tore apart of the strongest batsman lineups in cricket history. 708 wickets in 145 Tests and 293 wickets in 194 ODI matches. He was also a fantastic father to Summer, Brooke and Jackson. A memorable human being to those who encountered him on and off the cricket pitch.
You can see Nas's face at the end there, in the last moment before the video cuts, it hurts him to say it... What a guy, RIP Shane Warne

As an Indian fan, memories of his test debut, Aus tour of India in 1998 labeled as Sachin vs Warne, the way he turned the Aus vs SA WC‘99 semifinal match on its head, and many more such images flash by…! Nasser barely holding it together by the end! Shane Warne - what a man, what a legend. Somehow I felt like I knew him through his commentary.
How much love he had to give to cricket and young cricketers - that's what set him apart.
Shane was always so eager & willing to teach others about all the tricks and tactics of the game - he genuinely loved to talk about cricket, to teach others cricket.
