Robert,, In the bottom of the Space Needle, in the rear, they have an incredible pizza place, the pizza 🍕 is only $5 a slice & the slice is bigger than your head. Its so delicious. 😋
The Space Needle swaves when you are on the top Platform.

I am from Miami, and since 97 I have been visiting Gatlinburg once a year. I have seen much of its growth throughout the years, but I can always find God's divinity in the smoky mountains. Great video, planning another trip in 2 weeks.

Erick G. From what I've heard, the traffic in Gatlinburg is nothing like Miami.

Hi Robert, We enjoyed your video so much at Pigeon Forge and of the course the rest too. We laughed when we saw your Mother taking so many selfies. She is absolutely precious. Robert from a daughter of a mother, thank you for being so good to your mother. I think Mother's are so precious. When they are older, there is nothing like them spending time with their offspring. Did you see that huge smile. You make her so happy Robert. I know our families need us. We appreciate you.....Carolyn & Colin Hogarth

Back in the early '90s my dad and I took a vacation to Gatlinburg and stayed in a Holiday Inn on a steep hill above the town. Every morning we'd walk down to town and see the sights. It was amazing how in-shape you can get after a week of doing that. Problem was, a lot of the morning walking involved going to a breakfast place where they served waffles and pancakes with strawberries, whipped cream and sausage. Hard to maintain an exercise regimen with all that going on.

Sometimes a little tourist trap is fun if you just let go and roll with it. My friends and I enjoyed the moonshine and silly stuff around town. Hiking LeConte was the most rewarding experience of my entire vacation there. Beautiful views and incredible mountain.

Boy has Gatlinburg changed since we were there 30 yrs. ago. Was basically just a village then. Just got back from visiting the Smoky's from the NC side. We stayed in a cabin at the top of a ridge. the mornings unbelievable with mist in valley and sun coming over the mountain.

Wonderful video. The Hillybilly Golf at 5:25 in the video is a great time to shoot putt putt golf around brightly colored tractors and farm equipment and get plenty of exercise. The last time I took my father there back in the '90s, we found out that the day after Labor Day is a great time to be there since everybody goes back to work and the whole town clears out.

Next time you're in the Smokies, you should drive up to Cades Cove. It's an old historic community. Some of the old homesteads and churches are still there, it's very scenic and (if you go early in the morning or late in the evening) you'll probably see plenty of wildlife.

I have been visting Smokies all my life 72 years of visits ,fished, backpacked, tourist things when kids were small who wouldn't want a rubber tomahawk from Cherokee hiked all of Applachian trail thru Smokies as well as a number of park trails while in pursuit of trout. People would say I was crazy for going in all kinds of weather snow rain we made our own weather, the beauty of those mountains has to be seen to be appreciated !

In the late 70's -early 80's my mother and I took a 3 day mini vacation and drove from central Ohio to stay in Pigeon Forge. It just happened to be in October so we got to see lots of beautiful foliage during our trip. We stayed one day in Gatlinburg and had a great time. Gatlinburg was busy then and looks much busier now! Thanks for the memories Robert!

Robert, I would highly, highly suggest that next time you stay in Townsend, TN across Wears Valley from G'Burgh and Pigeon Forge it is known as being on the quite side of the Smokies....and it is. By 9pm almost everything is closed and you can access the park within 5 minutes. I go and shoot fall photos almost every fall......it is great.........Salud!

I love the Smokies. Went there in Oct 2016 during Columbus Day weekend when all the leaves had changed. Drove into Gatlinburg. In one end of the main drag and right out the other end without stopping. It looked like Disney World with people in droves everywhere. Not my thing. We went to the mountains and hiked to waterfalls so my son could do his photography. We went to the top of Clingmans Dome and I thought I was going to collapse. He got amazing photos. Nice you got to take your mother there.

Hello Robert! Always love your vids! When were you in the Smokies? We were just down there from June 19-25th! Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge are SO crowded now. We stayed at Honeysuckle Meadows RV park in Sevierville. Beautiful view of the mountains, a lot cheaper than KOA, and not packed in like sardines. Look at Google Maps. Full hookups and the free WiFi was excellent and fast! Ground based antennas by each site. We were in 3 different sites over the course of a week due to last minute reservations. But moving was easy. We went to relax and enjoy the quiet beautiful setting of the mountains. We tend to avoid those crowds like the plague! Happy travels!

I saw this video for the first time, today. When you went to the Tractor Supply store, I saw Ollie's and Roses Express inside the shopping center and knew that wasn't long ago. I live in between Sevierville and Seymour. Yes, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg can get really crowded. If you do come back, Pigeon Forge has "The Island" where you can walk around. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville is there, along with the moonshine tasting, Paula Deen's, fountain displays, hot sauce store with free samples, and lots of other things that go on there. Also, there is more to Smoky Mountain National Park. Cades Cove is a really nice place to visit.

Love your video! I live in Maryville, TN, which is only about an hour from Gatlinburg. I enjoy seeing what others think about our amazing area here in east TN! If you haven't been to Cade's Cove, it's definitely worth the trip. It has free entry, too! As for the pronunciation of Appalachian, we natives say it like, "throw an apple at'cha!" App-uh-latch-uh... Maybe that makes more sense :)

@@TheCarnivalguy lol right! I just moved here about 3 years ago and noticed some odd looks when I pronounced it "wrong" lol My cousin said, no no, it's either Mer-vuhl or Mare-vuhl lol

Great video, I love the Smokies Mts Tn/NC so beautiful. The Tiantic exhibit I can tell you from personal experience is extremely interesting and worth the money, just my thoughts. Yes its touristy and can be expensive, however the magisity of the area is something that just doesn't get old . 👍

I LOVE your travels...we've been every place that you have been but I think your voice and the music is what makes it. It gives it a lot of energy. We are moving back to Florida after living in Portland Oregon for over 25 years. The riots, the mobs, the looting, the taxes, the liberal mayor and Governor have ruined this state. Along with the homeless coming in from all over California and the world. And the local government letting it happen. It's time to move back to our home, Florida.
