Got one taking it back the T handle was striped it was a open box though and one of the gray locking tabs were short a piece broke off , thats why I bought it huffed and puffed to get the box out now i got to bring it back now i have to buy wide tape to close the box.
FYI for people like me that had no idea what the quick disconnect was for: You hook up your garden hose, turn it on, then turn the mower on and tilt it up slowly to clean out the junk that builds up underneath.
@@YouMadeMeLawn Lol, yeah. When I saw it I was thinking what the heck is this thing? ;p I might use it right before I put it away before winter if anything.
Honest question. I JUST unboxed mine and have a problem you seem to have solved without showing it. Those gray plastic things that lock the arm height in place seem designed for the flat part of the lower push arms. Yet, they are in direct contact with the rear wheel. Yours appears to have come that way, but you managed to move them up, away from the wheel.
Why can’t I figure out the ez-fold locks? I’ve pulled out the handle to the further holes. But when I go to raise the handle it always goes lower than I want?
I need help so the handle when I pull it seems to get stuck. The only way to pull it is pulling on the handle slowly then eventually the whole thing comes put but when I try to pull to turn it on the string will go back in n get stuck again
Hey there. Our handle cord seems to be stuck. We can’t pull it all the way up. We noticed it kind of got stuck for you as well and you did something in the bottom. Is there something more than just yanking it up that we should do ?
I just bought this mower yesterday. Haven't used it yet due to rain, but did yours come with some oil in the tank? I don't remember any of my old mowers having any oil in it at all. The main reason I'm asking is because when I opened the box there was quite a bit of spilled oil in there. It looked like a lot more than they'd use to lube up all the rust-able parts. The oil that comes with the mower wasn't busted or open. I'll clean up really well before pouring the oil in tomorrow. According to the book I should use the entire bottle it came with. The dipstick is odd in my opinion. Not sure why they didn't stick with the normal metal bar.
My mower did not come prefixed with oil, I do not recall seeing any oil on the mower when I opened mine up. I’m assuming the plastic dipstick saves money. Good luck. I have a 1 year review vid coming out soon.
TocyBlox I’m not sure what you mean? If you tighten the cable enough you can control the speed of the wheels depending upon how much you pull the lever. Sometimes I like to go slower through thicker grass sections of the yard, other times if the grass low or on a double cut you can go faster.
TocyBlox yes your right. That wheel controls the tension of the cable. The tighter the cable the better, IMO, then you can control the speed of the wheels depending upon how much you pull the lever
One of the clamps on mine opened and I cannot get it to close. Any ideas? Looks like it might be misaligned inside. Do you think getting rid of the clamps and replacing with regular bolts would be okay?
To many people return these because they don't follow directions and pull the bar out of the deck. They bring them in because it will not pull or crank...
Our major problem was figuring out the handle, and that's where the video failed for us. Our grandson came over and figured it out. We still don't know what those black srews at the base of the handle, are for.
cayo1l1 Noted, much appreciated. In all honesty, this was the first video I ever created and edited. Hope you subscribed to see more vids of mine and offer your constructive criticisms. :)
The self propel doesn't have enough strength to pull its self up the slight incline in my yard. I turned the tension all the way up. Maybe thats all the strength it has or there is another way to add power. My old mower dragged my mower and me up the hill. This is a cheap plastic made mower. Doubt it will last 3 years. The USA stickers were barely pressed on and probably the only thing made in USA. It was probably just assembled here. It did have a clean cut but looks like a plastic kids toy. Spend $50.00 more and get something better!
Am I the only one noticing the rear wheel adjustment in instructions is WRONG? Rear wheel cutting height lever should point BEHIND the mower. Also, a quality brass or steel quick release wash nozzle would be nice. Plastic never seems to provide a tight seal.
I’m also noticing that for the deck to be level, you need to drop the back wheel down a notch. For example, I have the front wheels on level 6 but the back on level 5. If I don’t set it like this, the back end on level 6 makes the cut uneven. I’m not sure if this is a design flaw but I went and entire season not noticing this. I always thought the lawn looked off. Now it looks perfect! Anyone notice this?
I apologize in advance, but your comment is confusing to me. Logically, it makes sense to me that if you move the back wheels backwards and the front wheels forwards, you'd lower the cutting deck as the front and rear axles get further apart. If you move the front wheels backwards and the rear wheels forward, the axles are getting closer together, thus raising the deck. I think the words in the instructions are indeed correct. The printed numbers in the instructions have nothing to do with cutting height. The 1, 2, and 3 numbered logos within the instructions pamphlet are simply referencing the corresponding steps 1, 2, and 3 from the written portion of the instructions, located directly above the diagram (i.e. the instructions on how to move the levers). Furthermore, as you'll see in the video, choosing notch 3 results in the selector being straight up and down on the front wheels. When level 3 is engaged, there are two notches remaining towards the front of the mower, (i.e. notches 1 and 2). In the rear, if notch (presumably 3) is engaged, the lever is also straight up and down and only two notches are left towards the rear. This makes sense to me. I set my front wheels to notch 3 and placed the lever straight up and down in the rear. The resulting cut was indeed even, but it was pretty short. I'd guess right around 2.0 inches. Tomorrow, I will be moving my front wheels backward to level 5 and the rear wheels forward to match. I'll measure my deck for confirmation, but if 'm understanding this correctly, this will raise my mower deck height.
This mower is trash. We opened ours out of the box and nothing worked the way it should. The directions might as well been written in Chinese. Took it right back to the store for a different brand. If it’s this much of a headache out of the box, imagine what it will be servicing the damn thing.
Josh Horning Mine worked just fine out of the box...I have seen the newer ones from this year and I believe they are not made as good as the one I bought in 2019
Crap mower. Not enough power to the FWD wheels. The handlebar clamps are weak. Comes apart if you push down or up enough times to lift front or back end. Don't get rid of the packaging. You'll probably be taking it back.
Thank you Fred, it was my first video ever shot, hopefully I’ve been getting better. Hope you subscribed so you can let me know how my other vids are too

Got it as a birthday gift for my wife’s boyfriend. He loves it. Runs great.
Now wait a second...
Ummmmm your wife’s boyfriend??
He’s saying he got it for him self that’s the joke😂
What a beautiful relationship😅
After 15-years, my old gas mower gave up its ghost. I just got this today. Game changer. It starts up on first pull. Great video btw.
When you have new, reliable equipment, you can enjoy the mow a lot more
Thanks for the review. I couldn’t find anything for this model on TH-cam. You’re da man
Me neither, that’s why I made this.
Slower motion would be good for us ladies. Thanks
Help! Im putting mine together and the lever pulling thing won’t go up. It lets me pull only a few inches and it gets stuck..what do I do?
Got one today and my rear leaver for the wheel/cut high is severely bent will exchange tomorrow and give it a go on my yard… can’t wait

Anyone have issues with the handle bars pressure clamps. I just got this moeer yesterday and it keeps moving evne after clamped
Mine won’t start when I pull the cable it stays tight if you pull then let go and pull that’s the only way on how I can get more out but won’t start
Thanks for the video, i just purchased one also today.

Unscrew the bolts and pull the handle up and out and red crew the bolt into the next hole down the bar.
Why can’t I figure out the ez-fold locks? I’ve pulled out the handle to the further holes. But when I go to raise the handle it always goes lower than I want?
The gray ez fold locks can be tightened so they do not move once locked in place.
Check out my review video on this mower
I hate those locks. But the mower is awesome.
How did u guys get the silver liver up? The two silver livers that r with the handle.
Thanks a lot man. This was so much easier than those directions it came with. I followed you step for step!
Lorenzo Thompson thank you sir!
right! I wish I seen this video before I put mine together lol
Same
I’m sold im buying this for my 90 year old grandmother! 👌
Great choice. It’s easy to use and lightweight. Highly recommended for your grandmother.
Could you please do a video on how you assembled the handle bar?
I need help so the handle when I pull it seems to get stuck. The only way to pull it is pulling on the handle slowly then eventually the whole thing comes put but when I try to pull to turn it on the string will go back in n get stuck again
Are you referring to the brake bar at the top of the handle?
I'm having this same problem
Got one yesterday, Memorial Day 2020, Lowe’s.
Got mine today, how do you like it
What do you think about it?
I haven’t used mine yet, it’s been raining every day for the last week , I hate it, too much rain . 🙃
Rachel Hanson have you used yours yet?

+J Ramirez it was a hard pull for the first foot or so then was easier.
J Ramirez any luck ours is doing the same
@@erikgarcia6739 ours too, just bought and returned and the second is doing the same, is there an answer? Is there some safety switch?
Lori Lowe you have to adjust the push bar back. This will allow you to start it.
Yea Move the Push bar Back all the way, and it will fix that. I just bought this from Lowe's today!
We cannot get ours to self propel on first use which also causes front wheels to lock when trying to reverse. Anyone know what step we’re missing?
Return it. Sounds like a defect if it’s not working.

Any help. I bought the same one. Spark plugs is in. Gas is in. Oil is in. It runs and literally as I’m going up a hill it turns off and starts smoking
So many possibilities...start with too much oil and clogged air filter
Do you use the green piece while cutting grass or leave it on?
It is a nice mower but is considerably more expensive now than when you got yours. I paid 369$ for mine at Lowes today.
Wait there is no primer button. My shit won't start used last summer was fine but new gas already
8:15 Not adjustable depending on how you pull the lever, there a wheel that controls it, it’s on the box that the lever is attached to.

I just set mine up and the self propelled wheels run Backwards
Why is it that mine won’t run on grass , tires don’t grip ?
I never have any issues with the self propel.
Good video I followed all the steps and saw that it started smoking while running it. Not to much but a little.
I had the same problem, but mine turned off I don't know if that's normal
A step by step would be nice. This is way too fast
If I could go back in time and redo it, I would.

How the hell did he start it? I’m struggling
Did you put the oil in, pull back the bale (brake) bar and give it some pulls?

A song called Dragonfly - it comes with the editing software...very basic
To many people return these because they don't follow directions and pull the bar out of the deck. They bring them in because it will not pull or crank...
Tony Motta problem is the instructions don’t say to do that. I only figured out how to watching this video.
Thanks for the tip! I had no idea! Wasn’t in the instructions and this is my first self-propelled.
Didn’t show the assembly at all
sean cawley lol
Exactly. I'm trying to figure it out and he sped right through it. I'm like wtf

Another video ruined by crappy music. I exited and found a better how to video.
Hmm my self propel isn’t working right out of the box
Take it back.
Mine won’t start and I just got it
Go down the list: check spark plug is connected, gas valve is on, gas in the tank
Did you rub the mower belly gently? sometimes new mowers are shy and need to be subtly introduced to the new master.
I love music. I really do. But why in the heck does EVERY video have to have it? I just need to freaking know something.
