🐒 MONSTER LANCER EVO 7 FULL STREET ATTACK - DRIVEN TO THE LIMIT!
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, popularly referred to as the 'Evo',[1] is a sports sedan and rally car based on the Lancer that was manufactured by Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors from 1992 until 2016. There have been ten official versions to date, and the designation of each model is most commonly a Roman numeral. All generations use two-litre intercooled turbo inline four-cylinder engines and all-wheel drive systems.[2]
The Evolution was originally intended only for Japanese markets, but demand on the "grey import" market led the Evolution series to be offered through Ralliart dealer networks in the United Kingdom and in various European markets from around 1998. Mitsubishi decided to export the eighth generation Evolution to the United States in 2003 after witnessing the success Subaru had in that market the previous year with the Subaru Impreza WRX.
All domestic market versions, until the release of the Evolution IX in 2005, were limited by a gentlemen's agreement between Japanese car manufacturers to advertise no more than 280 PS (206 kW; 276 hp). However, sources say Mitsubishi had already been producing cars with more power but had been underrating the official power outputs in order to comply with the agreement.[3] Therefore, each subsequent version has unofficially evolved above the advertised power figures, with the Japanese-market Evolution IX reaching an alleged output of around 321 PS (236 kW; 317 hp). Various special versions available in other markets, particularly the UK, have official power outputs up to 446 PS (328 kW; 440 hp).
The tenth and final generation of the Lancer Evolution, the Evolution X, was launched in Japan in 2007, and overseas markets in 2008.
What kind of car was the Mitsubishi Lancer, and how was it different from the Lancer Evolution and Lancer Evolution X?
While the Lancer and Lancer Evolution were based on the same platform and shared the same DNA, there were many differences between the two cars, with power, drivetrain (FWD vs AWD), and a stiffer suspension on Lancer Evolution being some of the key differentials. The Lancer Evolution X was Evolution's tenth and last-generation model.
Does Mitsubishi still make the Lancer or Lancer Evolution?
Mitsubishi discontinued production of the Lancer and Lancer Evolution. However, due to popular demand in China and Taiwan, the Lancer nameplate lives on in these markets with the Lancer EX sport sedan.
Why did Mitsubishi discontinue the Lancer and Lancer Evolution?
As efficiency and versatility became increasingly important to consumers, Mitsubishi decided to focus their efforts on crossover vehicles or hybrid cars in order to meet customer demand.
What engine was in the Lancer Evolution, and just how fast was it?
Before being discontinued, the 2015 Lancer Evolution featured a turbocharged 291-hp MIVEC engine and Mitsubishi's Super All-Wheel Control technology. The farewell model - Lancer Evolution Final Edition - boasted 303 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque, with an estimated top speed of 155 mph. Lancer Evolution utilized a variety of engines based on the best Mitsubishi technology of the time. From 1992-2006 it supported a 4G63 turbocharged engine. From 2008-2015 the 4B11 turbocharged engine was the game changer.
Absolutely loved this car and the owner. You can tell he sends it daily with the expressions on his face when you were pulling hard. He didn't have a care in the world, like it was no different than his daily commute. Absolutely fantastic build. Respect ✊️

Epic Evo and review, just around the corner as well so will have to keep an eye out for it. I daily'd mine for 9 years before it needed 5k's worth of rust repair so only comes out in nice weather now lol.
