This is not a hate comment. As the owner of 5 dogs. This is a very negative way to encourage your dog to walk. Start small inside the house. Also make sure your dog is not afraid of the lish and be consistent. Walk your dog a minimum of 3 times a day ( every day is better) at the same time. Dogs love consistency and they like to be on a schedule. I hope this helps. U have a beautiful dog.

Another thing you can do is carry them outside for a few minutes and see that nothing bad happens. and you take it back inside. so he sees that he is going to return. If he raises his head and is curious to see the ground, tree or nearby grass, you can lower him down and see how he does. If he wants to return, he will return walking. If he seems to be in pain and/or he doesn't want to walk, return him carrying him and have him checked by the vet. see if he needs rest or medicine. Once the disease has been ruled out, a routine must be followed so that the fear is lost.

There is no doubt that this is really painful.. This dog feels what we feel.. Would you like someone to take you for a walk when you want to sleep?
Since dachshunds have notoriously bad spinal problems I would never ever do this to my dachshund or any dog you need to build drive and excitement in your dog so that the dog will want to follow you. You can use treats you can use a ball you can use lots of praise and positive reinforcement. Pulling the dog like that is not proper.
