Its a really nice build but i think those new keys in the front might be maxing out your upper control arms and some steering components. They might wear out a little faster.
Well the final results with the steps in the color of your truck I’m very impressed! I have a 2001 Chevy suburban I’m gonna do something similar but not as big of tires I’m probably going to go with 18 inch tires, or 20 s
Hey very nice truck has a question how did you fit the spacer on the rear coil I tried but after removing lower shock bolt and unbolting the two sway bar bolts the rear end was maxed when lowered with the Jack got new spring in but not enough room to get 2 inch spacer in
anyway you could share the link for the level kit and shocks? not one to copy or at least i try not to but id like the exact same setup, aside from wheels and tires lol awesome video by the way
Those spacers are sketchy man, what you needed was a hubcentric spacer because all the weight of vehicle are resting on the studs not the actual hub, which is super dangerous. Hopefully nothing happened man 🙏
Why not have just gone with more of a negative offset wheel. Also how do I level my 2003 Tahoe with the ZW7 premium leveling suspension in the rear. My truck has front conventional suspension and self leveling sachs shocks in the rear. I want to fit a 20x10 wheel -19 offset wrapped in 285/50/20 toyo st's.
Any update on mpg? Shouldn't have to get speedo adjusted if you factor in the corrected miles driven. Stock diameter/new diameter X trip odo reading = correct distance.
I got to this video because I want to buy Tahoe 840 myself. I am from Russia. I watch video and I am impressed how beautiful your nature is there. Where do you live? I meant in what part of the United States? And what is the name of the town?
I just need info on the installation of the rear lift spacers i just installed the keys and gained alot of height out them. I have no cv axles cause i have a 2wd tahoe. Im tryna raise it to fit 35s i noticed u have 34s
DreamTeam HardHittaz take the rear shocks out, let the axle droop as much as possible, if you have to, take the springs out and put the cup on the axle then put the spring back on top
How are you cv axles and ball joints holding up? Ive done the same lift to my tahoe and am running 33s. I am just worried about premature wear, my cv angle looks a little steep now. You should do a follow up video discussing the ride quality, cv angles and wear (if any). Thanks man.
Victor M Carrillo Jr i do get a clank noise when i hit a bump at higher speeds. I havent got taller shocks for the back yet either, so it might be that. Ive got about a 1inch difference from front to back with the front being higher. It aligned great but my main concern is premature wear. Ive got about 1000 miles on it so far all is good.
moejr14 I'm going to install insulators on my rear springs to see if that helps. They install them on the upper and lower part on jeeps so hopefully this helps. Lol
Hello there, I see from the comments you went with a magnaflow 12198 muffler, my stock is 1in/2out, if your stock was the same, do you know the diameters for the inlets and outlets?
If you don`t already have wheel spacers getting a more negative offset wheel is the better way to do it unless you want the spokes to be more visible (closer to the outer rim). Personally I don`t like the look of the deep dish wheels, but it just depends on what look you want.
+Level7 Construction oh ok, so just preference really, to match yours, do you possibly know what offset wheels would give you about the same? I see with your wheels and spacers they're almost in line with the fender flares, I've got wheels with -24 and the tires are out like half inch past fender flares
Hey, are those headlight and blinker lenses aftermarket ? , i was wondering because i really want to change out my lenses on my 04 suburban z71 and i dont know the right place to look for those
I also have an 03 Tahoe. I went with 20x12 wheels that have a 42mm offset and 305mm wide tires. They stick out roughly 3 inches beyond the fenders and I'm not even using spacers. Because of this the radial travel of the front steering is much more severe therefore I had to cut a lot more than what was shown here. My tires were beginning to wear a groove into the windshield washer reservoir. Eventually it would have worn a hole into it rendering it useless so I removed it with the idea that I'd relocate it and reroute the plumbing and wiring. Unfortunately, once I removed it, I realized it's the most awkward shape imaginable, extremely long and virtually impossible to install elsewhere. I began shopping a universal reservoir solution before asking myself "Who really needs a windshield washer reservoir anyway?"
Hey man, enjoy your build. Truck looks great! I have an 03 Tahoe Z71 as well, currently sitting on 20x10 -24mm with 305/50r20 (32x12.5 inflated). I'm looking at doing the same leveling kit. How's the stiffness of yours? Was it easy to install the rear coil springs if you did it yourself?
Yes, the rear spacers were easy. The difficult thing was the front torsion keys because I did it without a compression tool. I just used a bottle jack and a bolt and jacked up on them using the weight of the vehicle and I still had to jump on the hitch and rock the truck around and still just barely got the keys up high enough to get the pins out. The vehicle was seesawing on the jack and one wheel. lol...
you can buy direct from NFab website or search on the NFab website for your model and get the product # then google that product # or search on ebay to find a better price. I think I ordered mine from ebay.
Level7 Construction do you like the bilsteins? I just did a 2.5 front 2" rear lift and my stock shocks are stretched out! Rides rough to say the least. I'm torn between bilsteins or rancheros
Torsion key lifts ride horrible and bottom out the upper control arms. You'd be much better off with a 3" body lift, if all you care about is fitting larger tires on. This will leave your suspension much more off road capable as it will have more down travel in the front. Aftermarket torsion keys are no different than just cranking up the factory ones, it still requires the same torsion forces to lift, and will still result in bottomed out bumpstop.
U dont have to. But it does help. The thing with 4wd vehicles tho. U can't just replace the rear gearing. U hwve to replace both if u regesr it otherwise ur front will moving at a different speed than the rear when in 4wd and can cause major problems
@@jewlizardjane9696 not too sure. It really depends on a lot of thing. 1 thing being offset. If u run a -44 offset then u will diffinently rub. But if u run a 0 offset. Then it should b fine. The other thing is width of the tire. U might b able to get away with a 10.5 wide. But if u go 12 wide. U are going to rub most likely even on 0 offset. Also depends on brand of the tire. Tires like nitos normally run true to size so a 33 inch nito would b taller than a 33 master craft considering a 33 master craft is really like 32.4-32.8 inches .
I just hammered those metal lips over and flat instead of chopping and leaving a spot for water to get in and its all covered with the plastic fender well so nobody sees it anyway
I recommend ditching those taillights, either get dark ones or go back to the red stock ones.
I about barfed when he hammered that weight on your rim. My guy uses stick ons.
All in all looks good.
could you give me links to all products used and websites I'm wanting to do the same setup on mine.
for sure would love to see some more tahoe vids
Its a really nice build but i think those new keys in the front might be maxing out your upper control arms and some steering components. They might wear out a little faster.
do you have a link for all the products used? i’m interested in this leveling kit for my 02 also wheel and tire combo is perfect
I do have to say those nice new tires look awesome with those rims!
Well the final results with the steps in the color of your truck I’m very impressed! I have a 2001 Chevy suburban I’m gonna do something similar but not as big of tires I’m probably going to go with 18 inch tires, or 20 s
Nice lift! Wanna do that on my '02 Yukon 👌I have LT tires now... gonna wait another season and grab those set of rubbers. Thanks for sharing 👍
Truck looks awesome man.
drill 2 holes and use zip ties, and tuck it back so it don't rub, no cutting
Well done, just got a 2003 Chevy Suburban and am planning to do the same mods you did. Thanks for the doos and don'ts. Cheers
Do you still have the truck? Did you need to keep up with front end parts more? Looks perfect
Hey very nice truck has a question how did you fit the spacer on the rear coil I tried but after removing lower shock bolt and unbolting the two sway bar bolts the rear end was maxed when lowered with the Jack got new spring in but not enough room to get 2 inch spacer in
Love It how it looks on 20x9 rims. I'm getting Black Rhino rims on my 04' Z71
I honestly like the chrome but that’s just me! But those black rims will look great to!
Nice choices. Your truck looks great.
Lol your from Montana I’m from Montana lol what a coincidence lol I’m working on my 2004 chevy tahoe and doing what your doing
That's sweet!! Thanks for explaining everything helps a lot!
Love the truck man
I have a 2002 GMC Yukon 3in lift kit with 35s
I was hoping you'd put some type of break down on how you installed the rear spacers,,I can't find anything on it.
anyway you could share the link for the level kit and shocks? not one to copy or at least i try not to but id like the exact same setup, aside from wheels and tires lol awesome video by the way
What size and tires you have on the tahoe at the beginning? They are nice too
I hope you also changed your gearing to a lower gear ratio because if that has the 3:42 years like my 2005, it will be a dog with those bigger tires
Whats the height from the bottom of the fender to the ground after the kit was installed plus the 34s.
What are those covers where your rocker panels are at?
Those spacers are sketchy man, what you needed was a hubcentric spacer because all the weight of vehicle are resting on the studs not the actual hub, which is super dangerous. Hopefully nothing happened man 🙏

I just put 315/85/17 on it rubbing hard now
So what is the cheapest way I can raise my truck up?

are those 2" spacers hubcentric if not be careful with that thing
how much would it all cost to do to a 2005 tahoe z71?
wyatt tayor shocks will run you about 250$ and the lift would run you about 120$. Wheels and tires will run about 3,000$.
Looks great! How is it off-road? I am considering buying a 2005. Does it have reliable engine? By the way, the wheels look "awesome"!
Did you max the keys? I ask because I did the same level/lift and by maxing them out my upper control arms were resting on the frame.
No they`re not maxed out. I just went as high as I could and still have just a very small space between the upper control arms and the bump stops.
i a regular 05 Tahoe 2wd and I was wondering if I can put Bilstein Z71 shocks on it just to give it a quick simple lift
Gabriel430 Chavez shocks will not give you a lift
Are these 35s on just a 3” front 2” rear kit? How did u clear the top control arm bumpstops?
How are you cv axles and ball joints holding up? Ive done the same lift to my tahoe and am running 33s. I am just worried about premature wear, my cv angle looks a little steep now. You should do a follow up video discussing the ride quality, cv angles and wear (if any). Thanks man.
Also fuel economy
I dropped my keys a bit to avoid this problem but it still concerns me. Do you get a clanking sound on your rear springs? I do and it’s damn annoying.
Victor M Carrillo Jr i do get a clank noise when i hit a bump at higher speeds. I havent got taller shocks for the back yet either, so it might be that. That was a sik look on top the rock looks amazing
so how bad is the acceleration now with larger tires? These arent fast to begin with (I have 03 Z71) so bigger tires probably kill mpg and performance
Did you have auto level suspension in the rear?
Hello there, I see from the comments you went with a magnaflow 12198 muffler, my stock is 1in/2out, if your stock was the same, do you know the diameters for the inlets and outlets?
Nice build!! Looks bad ass
Hello was wondering what side steps did you use. Want to get a part for my tahoe
Rodney Gilbert they come on the z71 models from the factory
What kit did you use I have 05 Tahoe I wanna do this same thing to
Rewatched your video, and saw you run the wheel spacers, what's the difference if you were to have gotten a more negative offset wheel?
If you don`t already have wheel spacers getting a more negative offset wheel is the better way to do it unless you want the spokes to be more visible (closer to the outer rim). Personally I don`t like the look of the deep dish wheels, but it just depends on what look you want.

How much does this effect towing a 5,000 lb camper? And what gear ratio are you running
how are your CV and upper ball joint angles?
Do you have links to everything you used?
Where did you get this kit from and what is it called?
Hey do you notice your front end feel like it jolts up more aggressively when you go over a bump in the road due to the torsion keys being so high?
Yes, definitely more than before.
Nick GiantYeti it’s because the spring rate is higher since he turned the keys up more.
Make sure to put a fresh coat of black spray paint on everything you cut or drill so no rust settles in
What kind of tires are those
nice looking truck bro

yes, definitely stiffer
@@crosswayfilms654 how much stiffer? Is it still daily drivable I do mostly highway
do you still have the wheels and tires that you had on before you put new ones on
no, they are long gone.
hey the tahoe looks good, if get a tuner you can get you your fuel economy better
This is a great video, I have a 2002 Silverado and i have a similar setup 👍👍
Do you have to cut or grind your studs to get the wheel spacer to fit?
no
Hey, are those headlight and blinker lenses aftermarket ? , i was wondering because i really want to change out my lenses on my 04 suburban z71 and i dont know the right place to look for those

yeah, mine`s definitely rougher too.
