You're so CLASSY it kills me. I love how every single detail of the makeup process has some purpose and thought behind it. That along with your talent and technique set you apart as a makeup artist. Great job as per usual!
You're so right! I couldn't have expressed it better! I just love her work and dedication, and what I adore is that it is obvious that she enjoys what she's doing and she just wants to have fun with make up, and that's the key to success, loving what you're doing. All my love from Spain Lisa xxx
Andrea K, you made a great point. There are so many experienced makeup artists that have terrible taste and I would prefer an amateur with good taste over them. Lisa has the experience and amazing taste! I do think you misunderstood palemermaid though. She was agreeing with you even though she made a different point. And the yawn wasn't directed at you. She was saying those youtubers with no experience or taste bored her. Or am I mistaken and you thought she was being rude by saying these youtubers bored her?
I agree. Although not many. I am going to check out Haley. I love KarimaMcKimmie and MonsiieurAlex. So you did misunderstand palemermaid. It was just a word she used to emphasize how uninteresting a lot of youtube "gurus" are. She wasn't being rude.
and the key is that she never gives the feeling of being too acknowledged, she talks and draws peeeerfect lines on her lips, with the ease your closest friend would have. GO LISAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
I just realized I haven't watched a single TH-cam advert before any of Lisa's videos, which obviously means she's chosen not to opt in to that(which btw is quite a bit of money). So much respect for that
She doesn't have to do these videos to pay her bills (like so many of the "gurus" on YT) which means she does it purely because she loves it. That's what separates her from the rest... some of them started that way but the almighty dollar stole that passion away quickly. Lisa does A-lister's makeup for Vogue covers- she definitely doesn't need the money ;) haha
Soleil Magica Well-deserved is highly debatable. It's unfortunate because it doesn't matter what the quality of their actual YT content is, they get paid for shilling products they don't even actually use. At least when you watch Lisa, you know when she mentions a product, it's because she truly likes it- not because the company is paying her 10 grand to act like it.
Soleil Magica Actually, most of the time... there isn't a disclaimer. Or it's a dishonest disclaimer bending the definition of "sponsored". Again, most of the gurus don't make their money from YT (from views, likes, etc.), but the sponsorships with companies, book deals, make-up lines and so on. Another thing to note re: your keeping the crowd entertained point- next time you're watching your fave YTer, look to see what their average view count is compared to the # of subscribers... a good chunk of most YTers subs are dead accounts or people that subbed only for a giveaway. YTers with real talent don't have to bribe their subs and have a closer subscriber/view ratio.
Classy lady and classy makeup . All those so called "gurus" on TH-cam with honesty load of paint on their faces should learn from the real professional
The "cheat" winged eye is my holy grail trick, I do it every day, some days light, others a bit darker, it is an amazing illusion for those of us in our mid-forties! You look STUNNING! Hope your dinner date was fun!!!
It's really clever because it kind of disguised shadows from the lines in the corners of her eyes, not that she has bad lines there at all but it made it look like they aren't even there anymore and just part of the makeup, really cool :)
This is what I'm looking for! A dinner date makeup where you look like you made effort in looking pretty not fake. When I'm searching for a dinner date makeup all I can see are these videos that make you look like Kim K at the end.
You know what else I love about Lisa? Her viewers are mature, open-minded people who don't resort to the incessant sycophantic behavior of "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THEN DON'T WATCH IT" or "YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL THAT SHE EVEN POSTS A VIDEO FOR US" at a mere mention of an opinion or suggestion, and by the way, most of them aren't even rude or intrusive to begin with. Everyone here seem to be totally chill with the idea of exchanging thoughts and opinions in a very gentle manner and staying respectful to one another. You guys are totally awesome. I like to think that Lisa's gentle personality is rubbing off on us! It seems to be the exact opposite on a lot of young beauty related TH-cam channels... I mean, a lot of the channels I love... the videos, the girls themselves are beautiful and down to earth, but the comments and the viewers... just unnecessary name calling and fighting over the smallest things... I know I don't have to read the comments but sometimes it's just too much.
I love your "don't look like you've tried too hard" makeup style. So refreshing compared to all the stark white under eye concealer and strong obviously filled in brows that are everywhere!
Every time I watch a video from Lisa I learn something new. When I discovered Lisa's channel I immediately unsubscribed every makeup "guru" I followed. Lisa ftw!
Ooh, thank you for that detailed lip application advice! I really wanted to hate the Revlon Moisture Stains, because I find the name revolting, but they do look like a great formula.
I particularly love the bright, vibrant and deep shades in their collection .... not crazy about the paler ones as they have a lot of white pigment in them (but good for a 60's look!). X
Lovely look, I used to wear something like this on a daily basis. Once again, I love love love the fact that you don't go over board with tons of primers, foundation, powder, illuminating, blush, contouring and 8743678439 different eye shadows.
Tried this look today and didn't *quite* get that gorgeous subtle smokey effect Lisa did. I really love this look and would love to get it successfully.... Lisa, do you have any tips on adapting it for an Asian eye shape? :)
You make everything look so easy but I personally know how difficult it is to apply make up with a light hand. It's so hard for me to ignore the urge to just apply more..and more...and more! I love how minimalistic you are but the effect is still so stunning like you've spent lots of time on the look.
Dear Lisa! I love the way you do your lips! :) Can you give me some advice? Although I am a makeup artist (kind of thing... :P ), I can never create the ideal lip shape for myself... My lower lip is the tricky part because it doesn't end up in a pointy corner, it is quite wide around the sides, but at the same time it doesn't have a definite line... I can't find a way to conceal the colour of it and to draw the perfect line instead :( For this reason the only way I can wear lipstick is when I apply it with my fingers (I mean I just pat the colour roughly on), but I really wanted to wear a stronger lip with a definite line sometimes... Could you help me, please? (I feel like I was somebody who asked for a lip-lining video for frogs :D ) Thank you very much! :)
OMG im the same! normally i put concealer on the edge of my lips and blend it out and then use a lip liner (or brush and lipstick) to create the line i want :) x but yeah would love to see lisa help
I love this look.As far as I'm concerned that is the perfect red lip. Classy and understated. I love your tutorials. I'm 47 and I find a lot of "make-up artists" on you tube, are girls in their early twenties who cake on the make up! I can't do that nor do I want to. It just looks ridiculous. I love your "less is more" approach. Your tutorials always deliver a naturally polished and pretty look. I would love if you did a tutorial on tips for covering broken veins in more mature skin. Thanks again for the lovely looks that you demonstrate so well.
Your voice is so soothing, Lisa. I love watching you put make up on, so relaxing. You're a wonderful make up artist, I've learned so much since I started watching your videos. A big thank you from Italy :)
Lisa!!! Congrats on hitting 1M subscribers!! you're such an inspiration. You should have reached 1M years ago. Everyone in here (including myself) would love to have your knowledge. And I believe that in a way having a youtube channel is a homage to you...even amateur channels such as mine!Thank you and Cheers Lisa! xoxo
Lisa! You look gorgeous, the eyes were my favourite ❤️ I got the stain in the shade Barcelona Nights and I think I am going to recreate this look. P.S: My mum and I have been doing the oil massage thing religiously everyday. She thinks it's the best thing she has ever learned from youtube and wished she learned/knew it earlier. Also, congratulations on reaching a million subscribers. I have been watching your videos since the beginning; 2008 perhaps. ☺️
Just an idea but it might be quite nice to choose one of your viewers once a month or so to do a make up look on in a video. That way you would be dealing with all sorts of skin types/complaints! And it waould be amazing for us viewers to get a chance for some make up advice on our own skin x
That is such a great idea! Only drawback being that us international viewers wouldn't be able to have that incredible opportunity. While I understand why she chooses girls from modelling agencies for looks I think subscribers (who mostly are your average looking woman/girl) would be more varied, and of course need a little bit more of effort to show Lisa's abilities
I especially love how Lisa Eldridge tutorials do not go SUPER ZOOM IN when in comes to applying the eye shadow. Those zoom in make the eye shadow application seem super complicated and scary to beginners like me.
that's the best date look I've seen on youtube so far! I'm in love with your eye make-up and thank you so much for the great video! I just have a date with my friend and her little ones tomorrow but I'll definitely try out that look tomorrow first thing in the morning 😍
It's so therapeutic to watch You do makeup, You are always so classy and chic! Definitely will be trying to do a similar look. Amazing work as always, Lisa xo
I am 63 and I have always loved makeup. The first thing I bought with my own money was when I was 5 or 6 (saved my allowance) light green nail polish. the first a lifetime of makeup loves.
Amazing tutorial! :) Thank you so much for sharing your tips and tricks with us! PLUS: did you get highlights in your hair? It looks amazing! Really young and fresh :) love it!!
Gorgeous look! :) I find it quite hard to find a look for a bit more dressed up occasions without a heavy eyeliner, big red lip and a lot of contouring/highlighting. I don't like to wear too much makeup either.. But this one will be perfect! I'm not very good at eye makeup but I think I can get this one if I practice ;) hehe.. Thanks a lot Lisa! :) Hope you have a wonderful day. Love from Norway.
Honestly I love your style of makeup. I search for 'simple makeup' or 'natural makeup' and all I get is major cateye, contouring and unnaturally colored lips. You still look like you when you're done. I love that and I love your videos, thank you so much for understanding that makeup isn't a mask
Your makeup techniques are life! Thank you so much for all your videos, they have changed the way I apply makeup. I love how natural yet professional your makeup looks are. Keep up the good work dear. Love and kisses from Bahrain.
Lisa, Do you have any videos or any tips on makeup for watery eyes. My eyes water a lot, I only use concealer and powder but because its quite cheap and not long lasting when my eye waters it usually rubs away. Any tips on some good concealer etc that may last a little longer. I just use boots natural collection the liquid concealer stick and the nuteral transloosant powder. I usually use waterproof mascara haha. Thanks, love your videos! :) x
Have you tried regularly using good eye drops , often the eyes will continually water if they are dry . I have the same issue and use genteal the brand is novartis pharmaceuticals . It may be worth trying .
Love the look! It's very subtle yet elegant and not overly done. I also really like the caramel highlights on your hair. It warms and softens your face. Beautiful!
Can someone people tell me if you know of an eyelash curler that only curls the OUTER lashes? I have hooded lids, and like the look where my outer corner lashes are fluttery and curled, but not the one's above my eye. I'm a guy and to me that looks too Minnie Mouse. I heard about a Japonesque precision curler, would that work well? Any other suggestions would be great.
Could you please comment on whether one should use products (cleansers and creams) containing lactic acid/glycolic acids, vitamin C, eye creams and hydrating serums for someone who's in their 20s? When is the appropriate time to start using products that provide extra nutrients to the skin? Kind regards and many thanks for such fantastic videos.
Hi Lisa, do you have any eyeshadow recommendations for darker skin? I have prominent eye lids and really struggle to find colours that don't look ashy on me. I'd say my complexion is around NC44.
You are simply stunning! I have a question, my skin is very dry before I use makeup. I put on my moisturizer and either Chanel Vitalumiere or Laura Mercier (her new liquid foundation, can't think of the name) After wearing my makeup for a few hours, I suddenly become VERY oily. Have you ever heard of this? It's quite odd since my bare skin is dry with spots of eczema.
Dear Lisa, I really think you should become a TH-cam Partner. We get so much from your videos, you should get something in return. Even if it is just some revenue from our views. Absolutely love your work.x
I really love your videos as I think your techniques r the easiest but effective I have seen on TH-cam. However, I would love it so much if you would do more dark skin looks! Thank you again.
Lisa, I love your work, you are such an amazing talent. Thank you for being so unselfish as to share your talents and how-to's with the public. I was wondering if you would be able to do an Asian look soon? I love your smokey eye, but don't know how best to translate onto my own eyes, as I have much smaller eyelids than a Caucasian person. Congrats again on your new role with Lancome! Well deserved xx
Beautiful, and I copied it because it just so happened that I was going out for my birthday dinner. I wish I had the patience to do such a beautiful lip but I am more of slap the lipstick on kinda girl.
I love how your foundation always blends in beautifully with thin application unlike the beauty influencers who put on tons of makeup on their face 😂😂😂 Just tells you which “guru” is actually out to sell you products vs the ones who is trying to really help you out.
I'd prefer to wear a stay fast lipstick if on a dinner date, so as to look pretty during the meal (and not just before and after it), and in order not have to worry about applying a gloss after eating etc. Also if it gets to the kissing stage, to stay looking fresh and not have lip gloss all over the poor guys lips too. LOL. Just saying . Lovely video however, thanks
i just started watching you and i am in love already. you are so collected and easy to watch. it's also obvious that you are a true makeup artist, your passion for it and knowledge of cosmetics almost jumps out of my computer screen. i wish i found you sooner!
Hi Lisa, do you happen to know if putting a lip balm on first will affect the staying power of long lasting lipsticks? I absolutely adore your videos! Love, from Australia :)
Can you please do more makeup demos on deep skin-tones?? Also a variation of acne prone oily skin demos maybe of different skin-tones then say a pale complexion?
This defines all that I love in makeup right now. I manage the Clarins counter at work and I do makeup differently than most of my friends who are into the 'beat' look right now...but I adore you...and learn more from you than anyone else. Thank you.
Your videos are amazing!! So informative!! I do need some help though. When I apply my mascara, no matter what kind I use, I always end up getting it on my eyelid. Which in turn, ends up messing up my eyeshadow. Please! If you have any tips or tricks, I would LOVE to hear them!! Thank you so much!
Hello. I used to mess my mascara all the time until I got a couple of these. I think they are great and a necessity for a jittery-hander like moi. www.ebay.com/itm/Women-Makeup-Eyelash-Curler-Guard-Plastic-Mascara-Brush-Tools-Eyebrow-Shaper-B90/221577226211?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D25214%26meid%3D3963251a7d134da39fbb1aa896fc98db%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D10628%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D141351540443&rt=nc
Gorgeous look! I'm so excited to see the Revlon Moisture Stain being used. I wondered if they were good. Now I'll be stopping today and purchasing the lovely shade you're wearing :-) Thank you so much Lisa! I appreciate your teaching us and sharing your talents and expertise with us!
Lisa you are such an inspiration! You give me a whole new outlook on makeup! Congratulations on 1 million subscribers, well deserved! All my love from Australia xxx
Lovely. In you next video can you spend some time on the optimal method of applying mascara to the lower lashes. It's always hit and miss for me and Q-tips are almost always required. I have longish lower lashes. Thank you Lisa. Your videos are super.
Honest to god, your videos are my free therapy sessions!! your voice is just so soothing and your knowledge is inspiring. Congarts on hitting 1 million subscribers. XX layal
So beautiful! And it's always so refreshing to watch your videos, no 10 pounds of foundation, no crazy contouring etc. Just enough to make you look beautiful and pulled together! Thanks for yet another splendid video.
I watched your foundation Videos but though i have problems to find the right one. I have oily and acne prone skin and all foundations or bb creams i've tried, oxidized. 😔 thats even more horrible when you're pale like me. 😕
what is the story of your green and gold rings? I see you wearing them in every video for a very long time...do you wear them to every outfit?(they are quite beautiful and unique...a bit hippie maybe:) )
I feel the same way about her. well said
Andrea K, you made a great point.
She wasn't being rude.
and the key is that she never gives the feeling of being too acknowledged, she talks and draws peeeerfect lines on her lips, with the ease your closest friend would have.

zeriyx Unfortunately they make most of their money from sponsors/stuff outside of YT that is a result of YT :/
Soleil Magica Well-deserved is highly debatable. +Luana Ribeiro Exactly ! I'm so fed up with youtube/instagram makeup ! This generation has ruined the whole concept of wearing makeup !
Lol I hate the makeup style on there too
+Luana Ribeiro youtube/instagram make up end up looking like drag queens... that's exactly what i'm going for :^)
I adore you Lisa, you're incredibly classy and give off such a great vibe. Thank you so much for making these videos!
Yes, I think she Lisa is universally adored.
Rosie Perry Agreed!
Rosie Perry and so she should be! I think of Lisa as the patron saint of make-up :)
You can go on and try searching for other tutorials... but deep down, you know you'll always come back to Lisa. Simply the greatest! xx
The "cheat" winged eye is my holy grail trick, I do it every day, some days light, others a bit darker, it is an amazing illusion for those of us in our mid-forties! You look STUNNING! Hope your dinner date was fun!!!
I totally agree. The black winged eye liner can look a bit harsh for women of a particular age like me. This is a great alternative.
It's really clever because it kind of disguised shadows from the lines in the corners of her eyes, not that she has bad lines there at all but it made it look like they aren't even there anymore and just part of the makeup, really cool :)
looks incredible and natural!
You are so naturally beautiful.. I always learn so much from you.. You have brilliant techniques x
This is what I'm looking for! A dinner date makeup where you look like you made effort in looking pretty not fake. When I'm searching for a dinner date makeup all I can see are these videos that make you look like Kim K at the end.
You know what else I love about Lisa? Lol that's because most of their viewers are 13-14 year old girls who think they're so mature and 'classy'
So true ⚡
I tried these lips last night. I feel like it was my first ever successful red lip. Thanks!!

hi lisa, would you say that the revlon lipsticks are similar to the ysl glossy stains?
yes they are x
See? Woman can be beautiful even without contouring and extremely fattening up the brows.

Honestly I love your style of makeup. I search for 'simple makeup' or 'natural makeup' and all I get is major cateye, contouring and unnaturally colored lips. You still look like you when you're done. I love that and I love your videos, thank you so much for understanding that makeup isn't a mask
Lisa
Where do you get your beautiful rings?
Love your videos!
Ellen
you're literally a God sent for makeup dummies like me.
Congratulations on reaching 1M subscribers! Thank you for being so amazing, classy and a true inspiration! All the best!
Perfect timing, I have a dinner date tonight. Thanks for the inspiration and calming walk-through.
Your makeup techniques are life! Thank you so much for all your videos, they have changed the way I apply makeup. I love how natural yet professional your makeup looks are. Keep up the good work dear. Love and kisses from Bahrain.
New video from you always makes my day, thank you so much Lisa!!
You look absolutely beautiful! This is certainly a look that my boyfriend would find very pretty. :-)
Lisa,
Do you have any videos or any tips on makeup for watery eyes. :) x
Wayne goss from the goss makeup artist channel just did a really good tutorial on this have you seen it? it may help
Have you tried regularly using good eye drops , often the eyes will continually water if they are dry . I have the same issue and use genteal the brand is novartis pharmaceuticals . It may be worth trying .
Stunning as always, Lisa! I have a Roaring 20's Christmas party to go to, and I would really appreciate it if you could do a glam 20s look :)
Love the look! It's very subtle yet elegant and not overly done. I also really like the caramel highlights on your hair. It warms and softens your face. Beautiful!
Thanks, I had them done about a month ago X
Can someone people tell me if you know of an eyelash curler that only curls the OUTER lashes? I have hooded lids, and like the look where my outer corner lashes are fluttery and curled, but not the one's above my eye. I'm a guy and to me that looks too Minnie Mouse. I heard about a Japonesque precision curler, would that work well? Any other suggestions would be great.
"special dinner date with your boyfriend or husband..." Or girlfriend!
she could be Christian.
Lovely video however, thanks
your videos are so fascinating, and I love to watch you put on your makeup, there's something so classic about it xo
This is the first time i get distracted when you are doing your makeup; I never knew you were married! God you are just awesome Lisa.
If only I could look half as good as you! Oh life would be complete! Flawless application as always! :)
I am constantly amazed at how she is able to do so little and come off looking so elegant and gorgeous....I think it's a gift!
You simply have the best make-up tutorials on youtube! They're always so classy and helpful, thank you so much!
i just started watching you and i am in love already. you are so collected and easy to watch. it's also obvious that you are a true makeup artist, your passion for it and knowledge of cosmetics almost jumps out of my computer screen. i wish i found you sooner!
What makeup should do ...enhance your natural features... Lisa is the best!
THESE VIDEOS SERIOUSLY SUSTAIN ME THROUGHOUT FINALS! AHHH!
I never do my lips for a lunch/dinner date because at the end of the meal my make up looks so sad... I prefer to do a nice eyes and let natural lips.
Beautifull make...
And congratulations for your 1M subscribes!!!
Kisses from Brasil/Portugal.
Gonna try this look for my anniversary dinner day after tomorrow with my boyfriend:).
Chapeau to Lisa Eldridge for her talent and for being the only youtuber left that is not trying to sell us anything!
U r the makeup goddess. Oh god i hope someday i can get a makeup done by you. Gosh!
So effortless and chic, I love it! I will try it for sure! Thanks to share your make up knowledge with us, it's amazing!
Hi Lisa, sorry for my english... I'm french ;)
You are such a beautiful & lovely woman .... "quelle élégance" !!!
Merci beaucoup X
This defines all that I love in makeup right now. I manage the Clarins counter at work and I do makeup differently than most of my friends who are into the 'beat' look right now...but I adore you...and learn more from you than anyone else. Thank you.
Beautiful makeup! And very nice curls

Can you please do a Zooey Deschanel 'New Girl' inspired look? You are a true artist Lisa! Stunning.
Love!
You are amazing, what a fantastic make up, you look absolutely beautiful!!
XX
layal
So beautiful! And it's always so refreshing to watch your videos, no 10 pounds of foundation, no crazy contouring etc. Just enough to make you look beautiful and pulled together! Thanks for yet another splendid video.
found this video in 2017 (almost 2018) and still so modern!!! MY DREAM LOOK. Thank you, Lisa
I watched your foundation Videos but though i have problems to find the right one. I have oily and acne prone skin and all foundations or bb creams i've tried, oxidized. 😔 thats even more horrible when you're pale like me. 😕
LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It's like a subtle cat eye, SO pretty!! ^_^
what is the story of your green and gold rings? I see you wearing them in every video for a very long time...do you wear them to every outfit?(they are quite beautiful and unique...a bit hippie maybe:) )
