This was a really nice video of Terciera island and really well done. My family is from there and were there same time as you. I’m glad you guys liked it. There is a huge Terciera presence in the GTA as well. I am living in Toronto. They feature bullfights here as well in the summer months at Madeira Park, Arthur Ontario, sometimes Brampton fairgrounds in case it interests the both of you if you decide to come back 😊 enjoy your sailing!!!
Grown out enough to frame the face so I can now say that I really like the natural color. The hair looks healthier and more vibrant. Darker hair shows sheen better. No idea where I am going with this other than I like the natural color. Looks really good.
So on the north side of the island there is an old volcano. Near there there is an unofficial bull fighting ring where the local youth go to drink and fight a bull.
April thru September is Festival season. Each parish puts on a spirit parade, followed by a huge feed, then street bullfights the next day. The local community pays for the bulls to show up and the bulls are priced according to how they perform. I was stationed there in US military and us service members were forbidden from participating in the bull fights/runs. But we were allowed to watch from a safe place. The Military TV and radio station would run PSAs all season. They were fun to watch!
The bulls getting to chase humans and scare the hell out of them, sometimes throwing them about has to be fun for the bull. Remember bulls are not powder puffs, they are tough bulls.
Still waiting for Travis to come up with that one invention that is going to make you guys rich. Because I can’t picture you two going back to a regular 9 to 5 life after what you’ve done and experienced.
I understand traditions. But I definitely share, and respect your mixed feelings. If we kept all our traditions we would still be doing some deplorable things to humans let alone animals. All I see is an animal being tormented by Men to excite their testosterone levels, and entertain. But then I take it over the hunter, mentality. Nice video, love the dingy parking lot.

Compared to a CAFO in the US I'd say the bull has it pretty good over there.

I've seen quite a few bulls here in Texas. I sure don't want to run from one though and those long horns will gecha from a mile away.

The Bull run is how they keep the bulls fit and healthy 🦬 and the brave runners 🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃
Don't feel sorry for those bulls, they are very well taken care of. Most of them are prize breeding stock to keep that particular breed alive.
