      Yes Albert Lee is the boss. Saw him live a few years ago at McCabes Guitar Shop in LA. Small venue and was a really good show. What a professional and a joy to watch his guitar playing skills. He played the keyboards too and is a pretty good singer as well. He stayed after the show and signed autographs. What a kind and cool guy.

    I want to tell you a story on why Vince Gill is a great singer, guitar player, song writer, and most importantly a great person that is down to earth and not big headed. I was a police officer in the Nashville area for 10 years when I had to retire do to injuries after my car was hit at 60mph on I-24. In those 10 years I went to several funerals of officers that were killed. This is one of the many sad stories that happen in my 10 years of duty that I will never forget. A officer fresh out of the academy came home after his evening shift around 11pm or 12pm. When he came into his house he took his gun out of his holster and put the gun and his belt on the table in the kitchen. What I was told his wife was doing some dishes and he came from behind her and was giving her a hug. Do to the fact that I don't know of all the facts I will just tell you how he was killed. He had a son that was between 3 to 5 and he was suppose to be in bed asleep. Do to the fact that the Glock has know safety the child picked up the pistol and shot and killed his dad. The funeral started and his wife was crying and I will confess I had tears in my eyes and the 2 officers that I was with were visibly upset it was one the saddest officer funerals that I can remember. During the funeral (I was told that this was not planned) the small cemetery church went quiet when Vice Gill walked in with a guitar his hands. He sat down on a stool and started to play and sing a song that he wrote in the memory of his brother ((I believe). When he was finish he sat down for the rest of the funeral and talked to the family after it was over. I don't know if he donated money to the family but I do know that he heard this story and being a very big star took time to show that he was touched and created a bright memory for such a sad day. Understand that I might not have all of the story correct but the part that I know is correct is how he was killed. I will always remember Vice Gill for this small act on his part but I am sure the family will always have this special memory to celebrate a young mans life that was way to short. From time to time in my prays I pray that his son recovered and is doing good.

      Such a tragedy. However securing a firearm is top priority, especially at home where kids can get at it. Safety is just a switch they can press. On the range we have to remove the clip and clear the chamber- should be the same beflre entering the house.
      No arguements about rights and security please. A man died due to negligence.

      @waynebrown1394 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SantomPh Look the man just got home he was about to secure his weapon. He took a fetal 5 seconds to greet his wife. He secured his gun every night. You don't expect your young son to be up that late. If we all could be as perfect as you..yes all police can learn from every officers death but we are respectful and we know the whole story. He took his weapon out to secure it at about midnight..so fuck him for hugging his wife this is a freak accident. Also they carry Glocks no safety. If you tell me that if you handle weapons as much as a cop that you never may of messed up on one safety rule you are full of shit. people are not perfect well maybe except you..but out of that whole story thats what you get out of it that says a lot about you. I am wasting my time.

It showed that some of the Crossroads performers were going to play at a club called Martyr's on Lincoln Avenue. I called the box office as soon as they opened and reserved tickets. Turns out it was Albert Lee and Hogan's Heroes, Vince Gill, James Burton, and Ricky Skaggs, with Bobby Cochran (Eddie's nephew) opening. Fifteen bucks and they played for about 2 1/2 hours. Boy, there were some licks traded that night!

    James Burton's solo on Ricky Nelson's "s Hello Mary Lou marked a turning point in rock guitar playing. Introduction of slip notes. I would love to get "stuck" with James, Vince and Albert.

    The "mad scientist" Albert Lee, note perfect and flowing. The more I watch him playing with the likes of Gill, Knopfler, Clapton, Moore, etc, the more I realise how talented and humble he was.

    When I was sixteen, - I'm now seventy seven, I bought a 45 of Ricky Nelson's " Hello Marylou Goodbye heart " and the guitar solo on there changed my life, and made me want to learn the guitar. I was just out of school, and couldn't afford a set of strings never mind a guitar. I now have a Strat and a Tele, an Ovation ( homage to the late Great Glen Campbell ) and a few more. The solo I mention was played by the great James Burton back in the early sixties - a phenomenal guitarist. I have to say though, that favourite of all time, is Albert Lee ! I've been to many of his concerts when he come to the UK ! A humble man with enormous talent.
