I also look at the preferred formation as I'm pretty confident that has shown to impact that # of players that come in at those positions.
Might be good to also mention in Staff Responsibilities that your General Manager, Technical Director, Assistant Manager, or U18 Head Coach can all be set as the "Provides Youth Development Information" and therefore effectively become responsible for the Youth Intake instead of your Head of Youth so you can expand your list as you look for that fabled Model Citizen (or closest to it) staff member to pass on their personality to the incoming crop.

I had no idea that you could set the youth development guy to another staff member. I'll have to give that one a try!

I do look at coaching style also, i like technical players so look for a HOYD that is a technical coach
