DOOBIE BROTHERS, "LISTEN TOO THE MUSIC"... BECAME A FAVORITE IN THE 70'S.. THEIR SOUND IS UNMISTAKABLE, AND UNIQUE... GAVE A PERSON A SIMPLE REASON FOR EVERYTHING... more, "LONG TRAIN RUNNING", "JESUS IS JUST ALRIGHT", "CHINA GROVE"...
Deep Purple - Highway Star Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street The Scorpions - Still Loving You Doobie Brothers - Long Train Runin' The Eagles - Hotel California AC/DC - Back In Black
Back then when we were teenagers, there would be a dozen of us and we would ALL be singing this song, and so many others, IRL TH-cam Reactions everyday, so much music back then that we all knew every note, and every lyric. Great Music was everywhere back then. Getting to see the joy this song gave to you, brings back those memories. "What the people need is a way to make them smile" Thanks
"Long Train Runnin'" is a good one, also "What a Fool Believes". In the second song, you can hear Michael McDonald's distinct voice very clearly, he's a great vocalist. I enjoyed your review, stay safe.
Everything by the Doobies is fantastic..... glad you enjoyed them. All (most) their songs have a groovy funk to them. If you do any more of the Doobies... I might recommend :Jesus is just Alright"
"Long Train Runnin' " .."China Grove".. "Dark-eyed Cajun Woman".."South City Midnight Lady"...The whole "Captain and Me" album brings back so many great memories for me..Can't go wrong with any of it, really..Enjoy!
I believe you would enjoy - "Rhiannon Fleetwood Mac Live 1976". Stevie Nicks sets the place on fire. It's a one of a kind performance - not to be missed.
@@CC2Cents_ just remembered a really happy tune you got to react to , the band is call E.L.O the tune is Mr Blue Sky , i guarantee it will make you smile (not that that is difficult for you lol ) but it’s a great tune it’s old but a goodin 👍
The lead singer wasn't on that album cover (I don't think), he had voice problems and had to leave the band for a while, then Michel McDonald came in and the band was good bit sounded much different, the Tom came back. Great band.
I know I sound like a broken record but I remember as this music was unveiled. . . Amazing new sounds were everywhere, feeling fortunate to have lived through such a musical time ; )

I understand what you mean about an escape. No politics no real world stuff. Just be where the song is.
