    Hi Fabian, I wanted to tell you I made the V-Ray material builder part for your script and updated it to include V-Ray. I think by including this, new feature it will draw more people into using your script. I just loved your script so much, I had to develop it more to include V-Ray. How can I share this with you?

    After I upgrade to Maya 2022.1 the "assign material to selected" does not work. Does anyone else have this problem?

    I am a bit of a noob to Maya and using RedShift... This script has been a literal goldmine for me! Thank you so much! Just some feedback though... I am unable to move the box sideways at all. I also can not make the box larger, which has made it difficult to use If you want any more details reply and I will exchange contacts with you. Another thing I may suggest,.. is it possible to set it up so that everything goes into projection mapping or Triplanar instead of UV mapping? You are awesome!

      @@FabianStrube 2022, with Redshift. I have been having quite a few issues with it especially with plugins. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling,.. but still acting up. Very well could be my Maya and not your app. If you want any info, you can email me at aspies2013@hotmail.com

      I was planning to make an update for renderman, vray is a bit tricky since I can not create and access the Materials with Python.

    how can make generic material ? without arnold v_ray redshift without out render engine presets? i mean standard surface workflow

      If you mean Lambert or Phong Materials, those are unfortunately not supported.

    I love how amazing this is - just have 2 questions.
    1. is it possible to batch import multiple different files for multiple materials
    2. is there a way to have the "default material name" use the texture filename? so hand.diffuse.png would be "hand" in the material?

    the UI got messed up with my 4K monitor :(
    changeTag windows got too tiny and cant be resized.
    I hope you will consider updating it in future with RS new standard material

    Hi there,
    Can this script work with ORM type textures (AKA "packed")?, so it has AO in R channel, Roughness in G and Metallic in B?

    if I put AO, where will it be placed in the graph?

      in the diffuse weight, since its basicly a multiplier for the diffuse color :)

      @@FabianStrube maybe just add a remapvalue node after the AO texture itself likewhat you did to the roughness map? Im sorry if you actually did that, I haven't tried it out yet. But it looks amazing!

      @@FabianStrube Actually I tried in maya 19 but, it gave me this error
      # Error: TypeError: file C:/Users/*****/Documents/maya/scripts/UniversalMaterialBuilder\main.py line 106: 'PySide2.QtWidgets.QAction' called with wrong argument types:
      PySide2.QtWidgets.QAction(PySide2.QtGui.QIcon, str)

      Just replace it with your current "main.py" file and it should work :)
