Tips when connecting batteries
* Never cross the open positive and open negative terminals with each other
as this will short circuit the batteries and cause damage or injury.
* Be sure the batteries you're connecting have the same voltage and capacity rating
Otherwise, you may end up with charging problems and shortened battery life.

Great product. The only thing I can criticize is that there is no cooling. If the plastic separators had holes then you just need holes in the case and add some 12CM fans and you would have a great cooling. It could even be controlled by the BMS.

It seems strange that the outside connectors aren't directly attached to the BMS PCB and use a thin wire instead. It would save some wiring to do this. Also the bridge wires could be thicker, if that is a 300A fuse then those wires will get hot quickly and countersunk screws would be better on the outside for handling.

Considering the amount of amps that are probably going through this kit, an active cooling system might be overkill but I would like to see a fan on this system.

If you need fans for this type of battery u probably use wrong cables and bus bars. Could u please show me at least one lifepo4 battery with cooling system?

Is the BMS the same as the BYD packs? The front ID, ports and lights look identical. Are you using the same rs485 protocol?
That's not the same. And we have goodwe/pylontech/growatt/victron/sofar/luxpower protocol optional for RS485 communication between battery and inverters.

What is the best variable/multipurpose BMS (i.e. can do 3/4/5... series, 3/4/5...parallel, can switch from 12v to 24v to 48 v when/if needed and can do different amps from 50-150/200?
Multipurpose refers to the functions. For example, the common functions charging and discharging protection, short circuit protection, temperature protection etc,. Others may also have CANBUS communications, UART communication functions.

We build the unit, it has no circuit breaker or soft start recharge resistor, and it is TWICE the price of comparable rack mount units... um... no.
A circuit breaker is an automatically operated electrical switch designed to protect the system from damage caused by overcurrent, overload, or short circuit. And the built-in BMS also comes with elaborate design on over current and short circuit warnings and protections.
For DC circuit, the safety voltage range is 0V-60V. And the Maximum voltage of our battery pack is 58.4V within the safety range.
That's why we didn't add a circuit breaker to the battery pack.
@@SeplosTechnology BMS shouldn’t be relied upon to protect wiring from misuse or accidents... the BMS should be there to provide info about cell health, and to protect the cells. Fuses or breakers should be included to protect those systems.
@@SeplosTechnology a circuit breaker is also a simple easy to operate shutoff for the battery.
The fact your battery has safety built into the BMS does NOT double the value of your battery. To sell a diy assemble kit, the pricing should be lower than readymade assembled and tested batteries.

DIY is neat if it save cost some how. The batteries r problem Lithium is old tired tech waste of space is Titinate NOW out & 1 is 20yrs+ ok & other is 7yrs, is call. 1 doesn't like cold or hot & catch fire & other won't & is fine hot or cold.

@@SeplosTechnology as far as I know the only comm port is RS232 other than that I am not sure I would like to use your products with this inverter so if this is possible some how I would be very grateful.
