Thanks for sharing I feel confident in splitting my grandmothers bamboo. She passed a couple years ago and I been scared to cut them but feel better now.
like 19 years ago I had so many lucky bamboo. No idea why I didn't propagate them or no how to. I just gave them away and got new ones. This is so cool. I love that you show how to put wax on the top. I always saw that on the bamboos never put the idea together. !
could you have made several cuttings out of the 3 stalks you chopped off? they were quite long - could you have cut and sealed the top end of those if you made multiple pieces out of the longer ones?
Hi there, I have done the parents and babies. Its been a few weeks now since i've sealed the parents. And so, I am wondering because I cannot find, Do I remove the wax? What happens after I seal and replant? Thank you! Love the energy! xxoo
Hey thanks for the video. I have one bamboo and its leaves turned yellow so I cut them a while ago. Now it is bold with no leave :) What can I do to propagate new leaves?
Did you post an update on these? The two babies in the same glass container look sad, their leaves are droopy. My bamboo leaves stand up strong, they’re not floppy at all.
No need to remove the mother plant from water before cutting unless you have to. If the roots dry out, it will die. She’s sealing the end in wax to keep it from growing up and encouraging it to grow a new shoot instead. You can just take it out of the water at the end to seal it rather than the entire time. I learned the hard way, that’s why I’m commenting, not to be a Karen 😅

How’d it go?

Thanks, this is helpful. Curious as to why you seal yhe top of the bamboo with wax?
People do it to prevent infections. It's a bit like bandaging an open wound. Others say it's unnecessary.
@@grantcivyt You could use aloevera right?
@@loriblunt5352 I don't know much about plants. 🙂
Cool vid, did the older thicker ones ever grow fresh bamboo? I want to do this to mine but I don’t want to hurt it and not have it grow

that's a great question that I would like to know as well!👍😉🇨🇦
it is Asian customary not to place 1 or 4 lucky bamboos in a container.
2 = love
3 = life
5 = element
9 = lucky
Hmm, that's awesome thanks for sharing this info. :)
1 means good fortune 🤷🏻
What did you do with the other shoots that you cut off?
5:54 can i cut more stem and all the leaves? is it damage the plants?
What happens if you don’t dip it in wax?
I've heard it leaves the top more at risk to invasion of fungus etc
@@adamrandall55but then now you just have a stump so why keep it
@@asmrtpop2676 cuz if you plant it, it'll sprout another shoot out its neck that turns and grows vertically
I really appreciate this video. Hard to find how the seedlings can become a stalk. Much thanks!
I'm struggling with this :(
What do u do with the cutted notes?
Do they stand direct sunlight?
do you have to seal the top?
I just did this but my babies are skinnier than yours...do they thicken at all or no?

Im not sure but I seen a video and it said that the wax promotes growth, I don't know if it's true but I don't see a reason to take it off.
why does the water smell
could it be too
much gravel or
rocks in jar and it cant breathe?
Can u use soil instead

Do you need rocks?

Hola una pregunta, no entendí porq le pusiste la cera a los viejitos bambú ? Saludos
Beatriz Orozco hola 😃para sellarlos, para prevenir que se sequen, porque del otro modo se evapora el

my baby bamboos have lots of roots now. Can i repot them in soil so they can grow or they should just stay as they are...?
They’ll do fine in water, friend!! Good luck with your bamboo infants.
How often we change water in lucky bamboo?
Grace Nilo I would recommend once a week , thanks for watching 😊
What you did with the babies?
Can the nodes you cut off, still grow if you replant them?
Pretty sure they can if they are longer than 1 node but you can try any way
which season/ month is best for propagation?
should I do it when my bamboo is like 1.5 years old? not as talk as your ones, bought at ikea when was babe
what does putting wax on the bamboo do ?
Sealing the plant off so that it will not be infected..
I heard they like their feet wet but nothing else. So I wonder if your yellow pot has too much dirt in it?
So I followed the video but all of my lucky bamboo is turning yellow now. What did I do wrong?
How often do you water them?
Hello are you just going to leave the wax there? Is it ok not to remove it?
I saw from other videos that they do keep the wax on the ending. The plant will start growing from the side.
Hii, is it ok to use hydroton clay instead of rocks?
I’ve been needing to do this! Keep up the great videos 😊
Same
Can u let me know how much water to add in the new baby bamboo? And how often..? How about the parent? Could not see it in the dark mug..
Where can I find that knife 🫣😂

Can you use a scented candle?
Cool glasses 😎
what will happen if i dont put wax on top of the bamboo?
Hopefully nothing but the cut might get infected.
Luckily my bamboo is in good condition 😊 thank you.

What age can we do the cuttings?
I'm so confused how do they grow with only water. Like what is it made of
Aidan Minnick that’s the nature of the bamboo 😀there is some that can be grown in soil as well
New growth will come from the original cut. You don't have to cut it down shorter.
Cute and compact...🧚♀️🇮🇳📿
So Nice
Nice video
Thank you! 😊
